I speak to Fi'lo having him meet me at the observation deck. Once I step outside of the door De'rax is no where to be found. He must have to go to the bridge. I shrug my shoulders and head to the observation deck.
Fi'lo is there when I arrive. "What did you want to talk about Kyra?"
I want to shift and speak to him but I am not sure it's safe yet. So I sit down in front of him and use this as a guise to practice.
"I have a theory as to why Grib wanted me so badly but I can't prove it."
"What is your theory?"
"That he some how found out I can shift and wants to use me that way. What I can't figure out is how he found out I can shift?"
"You said only Caylee and I know you can shift. So unless someone over heard us talking or saw you shift."
"Exactly but I don't know who. Do you trust all the men in your group?"
He thinks about that for a few minutes before answering. "Yes I do. Some of them may be rough around the edges but they are good and loyal men. None of them would hurt you or the lord General like that."
"Then my theory might be a bust. Unless he found out another way."
I sigh. There has to be an explanation.
"What if he wants you to get at the lord General. Like he has a vendetta against him."
"That is possible but he would have had many other ways to get at De'rax. I guess this something I'm going to have to ponder over for a while."
"You and everyone else. We all want to know why it is he is willing to put you in a fight to get to you?"
I nod. I sit and think on this for so long my head starts to hurt. I need a hot shower and a nap. Fi'lo had been summoned away a while ago so I decide to do just that.
I lock the door on De'rax quarters again and head to the shower. The water is recycled so I don't have long but it should help. I shift and climb in. Mmm it does help some. Soothes my tired muscles from the last week. I quickly wash and step out drying my hair with a towel. I shift back and lay the towel on the sink. Padding back into the room I unlock it and climb into bed. A short nap should help I think to myself as I drift off.
