His question needs an answer. I just don't know what to say. I make up my mind.
"Yes I forgive you."
His head lifts and he sighs then smiles.
"Can we try this again? This time I promise I will not 'freak out'."
I nod and we leave towards his quarters.
"Hey I can contact you now. Did he finally apologize?"
"Yes he did. How do you know what happened?"
"Oh that. When he came running out of the room he ran into me. Dragging me into the closet he asked about your shift. I told him yes because I did not laugh at her. He got mad about that. I lied and said you only showed me after he laughed at you."
"Yes well we will keep that info to ourselves."
In the middle of our conversation a loud bang was heard. Then the ship shook. De'rax and I fell against the wall. Picking ourselves back up we ran towards the bridge.
Arriving at the bridge in time to see Grib sending a message.
" I told you I would have the Wolf. I would have her by any way I could. As you can see I will have the Wolf. However I believe I also want you… lord General De'rax."
With that statement the message ended. Nobody moved. Grib shots shook the ship again. Alarms blared. Finally we all jumped into action. Felt like we were moving in slow motion. Getting ready for the boarding and personal attack of the Gribnopk.
We didn't have to wait long before a giant slam and hissing noises occurred as his ship attached to ours.
Then the flury of motion happened. One on one many Gribnopk flooded in. I lost track of everyone but De'rax as we fought. If felt like eternity but was only a few minutes before we were out numbered. They gassed us.
I woke up later in a cage. De'rax was in the next cage over. Still passed out. I looked around and saw just a bland Grey room.
"De'rax. De'rax. Wake up."
I waited for him to wake up. Waiting was all I could do at the moment. I was stuck. After a few minutes De'rax groaned. He sat up rubbing his head.
"Where are we?"
"In a bland Grey room. Probably on Gribs ship. Are you okay?"
"Besides a pounding headache? I am fine. Since we are currently caged with nothing to do. What do you think he wants?"
"I have been racking my brain about that since we left the arena. I have yet to come up with an explanation. As for you… I think he wants you back in the arena. With out me this time."
"That is most likely the reason. I want to know what he has planned for you."
"Do you really want to know that answer lord General?"
Grib announced from the door way. We both turned towards the door eyeing Grib as he moved into the room. He stopped in front of De'rax cell waiting for an answer.
"Yes I do want to know that answer."
Grib wheezed. Which I guess is a laugh. Before he answered De'rax.
"I want to breed her. Shocked that I knew her gender. I have known all along. I have another wolf I procured… a male. I want to make my own personal guard of wolf's."
I gaped at him. He what?
"That is not possible Grib."
"Why is that then lord General?"
De'rax froze. He didn't want to tell. So instead he shook his head. "How are you sure it is a wolf from the same place as her?"
Grin thought of that for a moment. "I was assured that he is from the same place."
"Then where am I going?"
"You I have not decided yet. I will let you know when my plans for her go through."
He wheezes again as he turns and leaves the room.
