We stood there just breathing each other in. Neither one of us wanting to move.
"Is this how you smell all the time?"
I couldn't help but giggle at him. He was like a pup getting used to his new senses.
"Yes and you will get used to it. Everything is new to you for now. After a while you will learn to filter it all. Also I will be here to help you."
"Are you laughing at me?"
"No why would I?" I can't help but let a giggle slip as I lied.
"You are. You are laughing at me!"
"Not on purpose I promise. It's just so cute, your so cute."
"Oh so you think I am cute? Well let us see how cute you think I am?"
Before I could react he had me pinned to the floor. His jaw was a my neck holding me still. I couldn't move nor did I want to try.
"How cute is this?"
"Not cute." I panted. I froze…oh no. "De'rax it's here. I'm not going to be able to resist it. Your not going to be able to stop yourself."
"What do you mean stop it?"
"De'rax. Last thing I'm going to be able to say. I'm in heat… take a deep breath and remember I want this."
"Kyra what…"
I knew the moment it hit him. The scent of my heat. It would have been to intoxicating for an older wolf but for him it was stronger. Much much stronger. The moment was instantaneous. His bite went from playful to hard. He really was holding me down now. There was nothing I could do even if my body would let me.
Even as my mind was swirling my body was lifting and begging. There was a growl a whimper. My mind was blanking out. I was to the point where my heat had taken over. Last think I felt was him over me before biology took over.
I awoke. Still groggy and sore. I stayed still. Taking in my surroundings as usual. I smelled De'rax next to me. Which form he was in I didn't know. I had yet to open my eyes. I felt the hard floor of the prison I was in. So they hadn't moved us yet.
I slowly opened one eye. De'rax was indeed next to me. Curled around me still in his wolf form. Guess we past out that way. I checked myself out to see if I had changed back. I sighed. Nope still furry. Phew I mentally relieved. I looked up to see two scientists staring avidly at me. Oh no. What are they up to?
Movement next to me as De'rax came to.
"De'rax are you okay?"
"Yea just sore. How about you?"
"Same. We have two avid admirers at the moment though. I'm kind of creeped out."
He turned his head to see what I saw. "I would have to agree with that thought. What are we supposed to do now?"
"I don't know. Since they haven't moved us I assume they are waiting on something."
No more than the words were spoken than a large boom was heard. Shaking the whole room we were in. The scientists froze looking at each other. The next boom sounded closer. The scientists waiting no more ran from the room.
" I hope that is a rescue party."
"Same."
The door behind us whooshed open. Both of us slammed into the window. Dazed I looked up to see Grib grinning as he waltzed in.
"Well well looky what I have here. It seems my idiot scientists were right that wolf was a match for you. Now my little pretty you are coming with me."
Grib reached for me. Before his hand got to my nose De'rax attacked. Grib screamed in pain trying to throw him off.
"You stupid animal I knew I should have tranquilized you before I came. But we are under attack and I have gotten sloppy in my haste."
I hear a eep and a whimper as De'rax drops from his arm. He kicks him against the window and advances towards me.
My instincts take over. The Wolf inside pissed that her mate was harmed. I lunged my jaws snapping around his arm. As my jaws closed so did my mind. Blanked.
