Chapter 37 - Despair (4)

"Devil energy?" Akka groaned when she said that and couldn't help but suck in a breath of cold air.

'How can it be possible for the devil energy to be here? Did the hero back then seal something here?' Akka had too many questions when she saw the devil's energy.

"Devil's energy?" Van asked as a chill run down his spine and felt that something was amiss. Seeing the darkness that is ahead, he couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva.

"No need for you to know at the moment." Akka said as she shook her head. Even she doesn't know too many things about the devil's energy.

She only knows that the devil's energy is an element, but not an element that belongs to the world as far as she knows. Akka only saw it once a strand of devil's energy, but even that was sealed. And worst is that she doesn't know what or how the effects of the devil's energy have on people's body. She only knows that the devils are despised and hunted by the Gods and by the people on the Azzurro continent.

Too many questions were on her head for the moment, but before she could think it thoroughly. The ground began to tremble, and a mighty pressure came from the darkness. Without a second thought, Akka grabbed Van and moved at the corner of the wall.

Van was shocked for a moment when Akka grabbed him, but before he could do anything. He was dragged at the corner of the wall by Akka, and literally, their bodies were touching each other. Van froze for a moment because he realized that he was indeed a shorty. How infuriating.

Before he could feel sad about it, Van felt a mighty pressure assault his shoulders, making his blood boil as his eyes open wide.

"What is this pressure?" He couldn't help but wonder. Van could feel and see multiple shadows rushing out from the crack of hell. And yet, even though he should've been scared or something, but at the moment, he could only feel warm in his heart.

His head currently was close to the chest a of Akka's, and he could feel something warm, and somehow heavy thing on top of his head. But of course, he isn't dense for not knowing what it is.

At the moment, he was enjoying the blissful feeling as he narrowed his eyes. Even though he wanted to put a hand on Akka's waist, but he forced himself to resist the temptation.

Looking down at his battle armor a bit, Van couldn't help but twitch his mouth. He could see a bulge in his stomach area like he was pregnant. But he let it be and closed his eyes as he enjoyed the moment.

After sometimes, he noticed that the shadows were long gone, and only silence filled the area. He was a bit awkward for forgetting to move, but it couldn't help it.

Suddenly, an even more mighty pressure enveloped the surroundings, causing the rocks littered about to disintegrate.

With some difficulty, Van raised his head only to see Akka's furious eyes.

"Cough, should we continue to move?" Van said as he gulped a mouthful of saliva nervously.

Continue your ass

Akka almost exploded and slapped him to death, but, in the end, she controlled herself. After all, it wasn't his fault at first, but he stayed a little bit too much afterward and even dared to put a hand to her waist.

Calming down, she moved her body away from Van as she looked at the darkness. All those creatures that passed were all wolves at the higher levels. Akka believes that if all the creatures that she has seen so far manage to break apart the defensive formation at the beginning of the inheritance and go out in the Azzurro continent. Only death would wait for all the kingdoms that are close to the forest of victory.

"Sigh, let's enter, we don't have a choice." Akka said as she sighed while thinking about how many kingdoms would get destroyed until an empire intervenes.

Before he entered the darkness, Van didn't forget to put a hand inside his battle armor and rub the little things head. Snow rolled her eyes at him.

Since they entered the 'river's blood corridor,' Snow has entered without Van noticing inside his battle armor and began to sleep there. Even though he felt a little awkward at the sight that he has a bulge like a pregnant woman, but he can only bear with it.

'Who would have thought that she has this kind of aura.' Van thought to himself when he sensed Akka's aura when she was mad. Akka's aura to Van felt like a commander that leads his troops on the bloody battlefield. Breaking out of his thoughts, Van couldn't help but swallow hard as he followed Akka and entered the darkness. In this darkness, Van's night eyes skill proved to be useless because he couldn't see anything.

The moment they entered inside, both their bodies trembled as cold devil's energy that was both tense and extremely intense assaulted them in every direction. Akka was better because she out of reflex used nature element to surround her body, but alas, she forgot the poor Van.

Van was assaulted for every direction and felt a heavy pressure assaulting his organs and mind. But that feeling didn't last for long as he felt a gentle breeze feeling surrounding him. Nonetheless, even though it didn't last long, Van felt like he was close to death's door, and his mind felt dizzy.

Akka's brows twisted for a moment as she grabbed Van from his shoulder and darted sideways so as not to stay close to the crack of the wall.

(Mm, one moment that I left, and you are already in a strange place...Mm, Oh my God, is this devil's energy? How can this place has this much dreadful devil energy?)

"Keep it down! My head is dizzy." Van said as he waved his hand when he heard the system's shocked voice.

The system was left speechless.

(Master, put a defense shield on you. Can't you see that woman is almost slapping to death?)

"But wouldn't the defense shield be eye-catching in this darkness?" Van couldn't help but say.

(Don't worry, Master, just try it, and you'll understand.)

Even though he was dizzy, Van still put 'defense shield' on both of them. And, indeed, just like the system told him, the defense shield didn't have any light like the first time he used it.
