Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Judgment Day Arrived part 2

The formation was basically consisted of five element magic stone pillars arranged in pentagram position. Each of the element magic stone would correspondence with different nature elements. The person ongoing test would stand in the middle of formation, when it was activated.

Affinity level of the person would measure and shown on the element magic stones. On the magic stone, there were 10 horizontal bar showing the aptitude level of each element. The lowest aptitude would be level 1 while the highest should be level 10. It was normal for somebody to have multiple affinities, but normally it would only one element became the dominant one.

Level 1-3 affinity was considered as low affinity, level 4-6 considered as medium affinity and level 7-9 would be considered as high affinity. Meanwhile, level 10 affinity was extremely rare and had not been seen on the continent since thousands years ago. A child with level 10 affinities would be called as Son of Nature.

Affinity level corresponded directly with the absorption speed of the element energy. The higher your affinity level, the faster your cultivation speed, as simple as it is. Since the affinity level was birth-given talent, many families considered this element affinity test as awakening ceremony of their descendant. Even more for the royal family, this affinity test would greatly decide the map of throne inheritance struggle.

The current King of Rivermountain Kingdom, Alash Rivermountain was a genius with level 7 Wood affinity. With the help of unlimited resources and speed of his cultivation, he managed to secure the king's throne and defeated his brothers solely relied on his personal cultivation.

Rivermountain Kingdom was a subsidiary of Northwood Empire. It was located on the north sides of the Five Element Continent. The empire's terrain mostly consisted of forest area, thus caused wood element energy naturally richer than the rest.

Wood element cultivator would normally have tremendous advantage with the forested terrains. Thus majority of the kingdom's royal families on the Northwood Empire would have wood element as their dominant element. Rivermountain family included. Each of the current princes of Rivermountain would normally be wood affinity geniuses.

Today was the day appointed for the Element Affinity Test for both Jago and Hening. Semok woke Jago up as usual. After a simple breakfast, Jago rode his own carriage to the Royal Castle. Once he arrived there, most of the core family members were waiting already.

Once Jago arrived, Bening wave her hand, she asked Jago to join her carriage. Jago came out from his own and entered Bening's carriage. There were two peoples inside the carriage, Bening and Anteng. Anteng smiled to him once he saw Jago entered the carriage.

"Where is Queen Mother?" Jago asked Bening.

Bening replied, "She's with Father."

Three horse carriages left the castles. A first carriage, the grandest, was for the King and his wives. A second carriage was Bening's and the last carriage was Kemaki's. Jago and Anteng joined Bening's carriage. Hening rode Kemaki's. Once the entourages left the Royal Palace complex, a group of Royal Guard's cavalry was following. They cleared the road and guarded the three carriages of the Royal Family.

The Royal Palace was located in the South East District of Capital City. Other than the Royal Family and their descendants, many nobles and wealthier peoples lived in this district. The Academies were located in the different district. It was located in North West District of Capital City. The North West District was dedicated for Academies and Military of the Kingdom. Both Primary Academy and Advanced Academy was there. Military headquarters and training center was also there.

The Capital City of Rivermountain was separated into four districts. Cross roads was built exactly on the middle of the districts. This road was called Capital Boulevard. It was the biggest and busiest road on the Capital, this road span from the North Gate to South Harbor and from the West Gate to East Harbor.

After 2 hours of journey from the South East to North West District, the Royal Family entourages reached Primary Academy's ground. The Royal Guards spread and formed a circular formation in front of the Academy's main gate. Then the Royal Family entered the Academy. Many commoners watched the commotions. It was rare for them in this district to see the Royal Family.

Royal Family entourages entered the Academy's front yard. In front of the Academy building, an old man with long goatee using a green robe with 5 golden leaves symbol on his chest were standing.

The old man was the Primary Academy's Principal, Jenggot Rienhard. The green robe was official mage robe color of the Northwood Empire, which was adopted by every subordinate kingdoms of the empire, including Rivermountain Kingdom. The green color represented wood affinity of the empire, which mean every mage wearing a robe with green color would belong to the Northwood empire.

The golden leaves symbol on the mage robe's chest area was indicating more important information. The leaves showed that the mage would have wood affinity as his main major element energy. For mage with different affinity, it should be shown using other symbol such as fire, drop of water or floating stone instead of golden leaves.

The Academy's Principal was using a green robe with 5 golden leaves on the chest. The number of the golden leaves showed the level of mage's cultivation. Five golden leaves was used for a mage with cultivation of Primary True Mage level.

This official mage robe would only be used by scholarly mage teaching at academy or during formal occasion such as current affinity test. For combat mage or battle mage, they would never use official mage robe during battle. That was a horrible mistake that even an apprentice mage would not do.

Showing your cultivation's level and main affinity was like painting a target mark on your own head. When your enemy knew your affinity and level, they could devise a plan to defeat you easily.

Jenggot bowed his head and greeted the Royal Family's entourage, "Welcome to our Academy, Your Majesty."

Alash waved his hand and asked Jenggot to rise, "You may rise Jenggot, how is the Academy?"

Jenggot smiled and replied, "As usual, Your Majesty."
