Alash and all of his brothers studied on this Academy previously. At that time, Jenggot was already a Principal of the Academy. Jenggot watched Alash trained and grew up on his academy. He always admired Alash's efforts on cultivation. Although his talent was not the best among his royal brothers, he was the most hardworking student, even though he was a noble's descendant, unlike his siblings.
All of the King's inheritor candidates would need to study on the Primary Academy and Advanced Academy of the Capital City. Thus it could be imagined that the Academy's teachers in actual would always be King's teacher.
With such tremendous influences, the Rivermountain family ancestors decided to forbid the Academy from interfering with the King's inheritances competition between the princes. The ancestors also forbade Military faction involvement on this issue.
That was why the Academy and Military were located on the North West District, furthest away from the Noble District on the South East. The Rivermountain Ancestors wanted that the next King should be chose based on his own personal strength. Academy and Military was forbidden to involve on the struggle.
"How is my son?" Alash casually asked.
Jenggot knew that Alash was asking about his sons Anteng and Kemaki. Jenggot lamented in his head. He knew that he needed to keep neutrality on this issue; he tried to avoid it by bringing up Princess Bening.
"Both Princes are hardworking, Your Majesty. But the best is still Princess Bening. Although she is only 6 years old, she is catching up with both of his brother's cultivation."
Alash showed an incredulous look on his face. Although Bening's progress was fast, she was a woman and would not have the right for the king's position. Thus, he took this chance to scold both of Bening's older brother.
"Anteng, Kemaki. Did you hear that? What are you wasting your time with? Bening is years younger than you and she is catching up. Pay more attention to your cultivation!"
"Yes, Father." Both Anteng and Kemaki answered their father at the same time. Anteng cast a glance to his younger sister, when Bening looked at him, he smiled proudly for his younger sister. Meanwhile, Kemaki showed contempt looks on his face and thought to himself, 'Although your progress was fast, what it is good for? You're female. You don't have the right to compete with us.'
Jenggot said, "As usual, Your Majesty, the affinity test will be conducted in the Academy Library's building. Please follow us."
Jenggot turned his body. Several senior Academies' teachers were walking alongside him to the Library. The Royal Family's entourage was following behind them. Out of five princes, three of them studied on this Primary Academy. The oldest, Anteng, was in his fourth year. Kemaki was in his third year and Bening was in his second year. Hening and Jago were born roughly at the same time. Both of them would attend the academy together this year.
Soon the Academy's teachers and Royal Family's members reach the Academy's library building. The building was smaller than Royal's Library on the Palace, but it was built higher with four floors. The library itself was managed with similar rules with the Royal Library. The books divided into 3 separate floors with different clearances level. The first floor was not used to keep books or reading books. It was used entirely for the Element Affinity Test with the Element Sensing Formation.
It was worth noting that to build and maintained such formation required enormous costs, even for an established Academy with long history such as Primary Academy. Thus in the whole Capital City, the Element Sensing Formation could only be found in the Primary Academy. Similar with the Capital City, on each dukedom, only one formation would be built, normally on their own Primary Academy.
Once the whole group reached the first floor of the Library, group of servants prepared the tables and chairs for the Royal Family members and Academy's senior teacher. The affinity test for King's descendants was critical issue, thus it was normally taken care directly by Jenggot. For normal affinity test, such as during academy enrollment test, a senior teacher was enough to control and managed the formation.
The groups seated on the chairs with Alash sat in the middle and front most chair. The Queen sat on the King's right side, next to her was Anteng and Bening. The Concubine sat on the left side of the king, Kemaki sat next to her. Ministers and other royal family members sat behind them. None of the Academy's teachers sat on a chair. They were standing to prepare and guard the formation.
Jenggot stood in front of the element sensing formation. He checked it before turned his body and said to Alash, "The formation is ready Your Majesty."
"You may start now Jenggot." replied Alash the King.
Jenggot walked to the center of formation. He stood on it than lifted up his right hand. His palm faced upward and the limbs were straight, it looked like he was lifting something on the air above his head. After few seconds, green colored elemental energy started to gather above his palm. He pushed his hand down to the formation center. Alongside with the movement of his palm, the green lights started to flow to the formation.
Once the green light touched the element sensing formation on the floor, it started to shine. The lights spread outward, from the center to the edge of formation. The spreading waves was similar to ripple on the water when stone threw into it. The ripple was accompanied by a light wind blowing out to the surrounding.
Once the wave of elemental energy reached the five element sensing stone on the formation's edge, all of them were lit up for a brief moment before dying down. The green colored luster on the floor started to dim, but it was not vanish. Warm green lights shined on the formation and the element sensing stones.
"The formation is ready, Your Majesty." Jenggot walked out from the formation.
"Jago, Hening, which one of you want to start first?" the king turned his head and asked both of his children.
"Let Hening do the test first, My King."
Before Jago answered Alash's question, a beautiful voice sounded out. It was Sari, the Royal Concubine, Hening's birth mother.
