Chapter 11 - 11 No Bai Chen, Spot is a dog's name. Not one for your maid.

It was the next morning and Bai Chen was quite tired. She tossed and turned most of the night thinking about her maid's possible names. In the end she made a list of suitable names with both her maid's looks and demeanor in mind. But what if her demeanor or looks changes!?

AAAARRRGHGHHH!!

Either way, she now had a list. Bai Chen went for mostly western names... at least for the first half.

- Ebony

- Lucy

- Lacee

- Kate

- Velvet

- Amara

Bai Chen went through the first half her list and nodded in affirmation, they all seemed alright. Only when she got to the second half did some issues crop up.

- Goku

- Spongebob

- Stan Loona

- #leafpeeping

- Spot

Bai Chen looked in wonder, she knew she wrote the list in a bout of insomnia but didn't expect her mind to wander wherever it did. Bai Chen almost agreed with the names, wanting to give the poor girl the name Spongebob with the excuse that the girl wouldn't understand the pop culture reference.

Snapping herself out of it, she shook her head.

No I can't!!!!

But who am I going to get in trouble from for doing so? So I can?

But it's just mean! I can't.... Or can I?

With a few minutes of back and forth between her two brain cells, Bai Chen finally decided against it. She still had the rest of the list to choose from.

She decided to get dressed and ask the girl her opinion.

Walking into her distasteful wardrobe, Bai Chen knew today had to be the day she got rid of these clothes. They haunted her. Sure, some people could manage cottage core clothing and similar styles, but Bai Chen was insistent. They were uncomfortable and unflattering.

After finishing a bath and changing into more maid clothes, she set off to find the girl. She went first to the kitchen to grab some snacks, obviously, and then continued her search to find her in the back garden snipping flower stalks. It seemed that today was the weekly flower change and one of the farmers was off work for the day so she took their place.

She snooped over the girl's shoulder as she crouched, Bai Chen's shadow covering her face.

"... Hey."

"Hello miss."

"...So, whatcha doin?"

"Collecting flowers, miss."

"Oh..."

Bai Chen decided to stay outside with the girl. She had no company anywhere else in the estate so she decided to sit down on a nearby bench and eat the biscuits she took from the kitchen. Basking in the sunlight she watched the girl near her plodding along with her duties.

Although the girl appeared very two dimensional, Bai Chen was sure that she wasn't just a video game character. None of these people were. They were people; with lives to live, jobs to do, and voices to hear. These were people. The zombie glitter boys were an exception. obviously. Bai Chen didn't want to humanise such obsessive behaviour. The rest were decent human beings living decent human lives.

Biting into a cookie, she questioned, "Are you sure there isn't a name you would like? I made a list but in the end I would prefer if you chose one."

"I'm fine, miss."

'I'm not ready to be a mother yet.'

Bai Chen was still stuck in that thought process. She felt like crying. She was too young for this.

Thinking of a way to get out of this responsibility Bai Chen thought of a new idea, she would just give the girl a list and she can see which one she liked!

Snacking on her biscuits, she waited until the girl had collected a full basket of flowers. The girl picked herself up and patted her backside, walking back to the house. Bai Chen obviously followed. Catching up to her, Bai Chen asked, "Since I have a list, how about you choose one for yourself? I think that most of them are very pretty."

AN: No, Bai Chen. Spongebob is not a pretty name. Nether is Spot. That is a dog's name. And why is there one with a hashtag? What does #leafpeeping even mean?
