Chapter 13 - 13 Existentialism

"Lucy! I like the name Lucy, Lucy!" Bai Chen was ecstatic that the girl liked one of the names she chose. Plus, she suited Lucy. When Bai Chen thought of a Lucy she thought of a very pretty person, and in Bai Chen's eyes, the girl in front of her looked like a goddess. Or at least a goddess for the fashion runway. She was slim, tall and had even features. Her dark eyes and black hair showed asian descent, while her strong chin, nose, and fair wheat skin tone showed Caucasian features. She was a beautiful woman, there was no way to deny it. She could suit both mens and womens clothing and still look stunning, that was for sure.

Satisfied with the name Lucy, the girl nodded. Bai Chen asked Lucy to come and help her clean, to which she obviously complied. Although this girl tried to give her a dog's name, she was still her young miss.

Finding themselves in Bai Chen's wardrobe, the two began to heave heaps of clothing out, each less to Bai Chen's liking then the last. Once they took all the clothing out and put a few wearable pieces in, Bai Chen was satisfied. She was ready to fill this space with clothing that she had to make through the holidays.

She had only just started whittling down her holidays by half a week of the six weeks but she still felt the impending doom of going back. The idea terrified her. Sure, the reverse harem arc was always popular with women, that was a no brainer. But you would have to like them all just a little bit each to be comfortable with that. And Bai Chen couldn't even stomach the idea of their existences. Their personalities were like cardboard. Or to be more exact, a cardboard cutout. They had a role to play that suited their looks, no redeeming qualities, and no personality. There was really no substance to their existence at all.

And that was what scared Bai Chen. The idea that this entire world was fake; and that everyobdy in it was created as a 2D character.

Inside her she knew she didn't belong in this place, from the clothing to the hierarchy; She knew she could never fit that existence of 'Lily'.

She kept feeling that she had to prove herself that she was alive; that she was feeling and this wasn't a simulation. But she knew it was a simulation, and only hoped that outside of the game world there was a place she would belong.

Getting back to work, Bai Chen was exhausted by the end. She flopped onto her bed and had a nap.

AN: rly Bai Chen, you had an existential crisis and the 1st thing u did after was have a nap? Wow.

Noticing her miss' obvious exhaustion, Lucy left the room, quietly shutting the door.
