Bai Chen hopped of the carriage in a rushing manner, yet it was still more graceful than her previous carriage exits. Although she barely felt ill, it was best if she never got on a carriage again! Bai Chen hated it. The idea of being on a moving carriage for over a second was too much for her puny amount of will power.
----------
Bai Chen: What did you say about me!?
Author: You have puny amounts of will power. Legit, just read the line above. It's right there. Why did you even ask?
Bai Chen: Why would you say that? meanie! This is defamation!
Author: See? You barely read it. Now stop being 'Jared, 19' and contiune on your day.
Bai Chen: Wuwuwu
---------------
She, with seemingly no understanding of her status, pulled half the clothes out of Lucy's hands and helped the girl take it to the wash room. Giving the clothing to the main washing maid, the two girls head out.
Considering that Bai Chen took Lucy everywhere, the head maid decided to make Lucy Bai Chen's personal maid. Her current job role was to basically do whatever her miss wanted her too and walk around with the young lady.
Bai Chen dallied around the house for an odd thirty minute or so the girl was just walking around whistling to herself. Lucy was so confused. They had passed Bai Chen's room five times now so why weren't they going in yet? Did her miss want to exercise? Or show off her new clothing? Or something?
"Hey Lucy?"
"Yes Miss." Finally Lucy would hopefully get some answers.
"I have an issue that I need to discuss with you and I hope you don't mind." Bai Chen turned around to face the woman who was taller than her. Bai Chen faced upwards and looked into Lucy's eyes with a stern expression. She tried to keep her composure.
What does she want?
Lucy was as much confused as anyone would be. Then her eyes dilated in realisation.
Don't tell me... Miss knows who I am!? Lucy, inside her listless face was in a panic.
"It's a simple question and I just want a simple answer." Lucy felt like her miss' words were becoming more and more demanding.
Don't tell me! That teddy bear shop was actually owned by information brokers and that was why her miss went in there!? Lucy had reached all sorts of conclusions in her mind by this point. She had no clue what to do.
"Do"
It felt like all her miss' words were slowing.
"You"
In anticipation Lucy gulped.
...."know how to get to the library? I got lost."
...
...
...
Eh?
Lucy looked at her miss as though the girl was an idiot. To be fair, Bai Chen was.
Bai Chen reciprocated with a look of nervousness. She didn't want to make herself look like a fool but to be fair they had just walked around for thirty minutes for no reason so by this point she couldn't deny it.
Lucy gave out a small sigh, possibly of disappointment or relief, Bai Chen couldn't tell, and pointed to two large doors with a large sign across the top of them 'Library'.
"It's to your left, Miss."
Oh...
"Thank you." Bai Chen felt a blush arise on her face. She wanted to crawl into a hole but tried her best to keep her composure.
Did she not have eyes?
At this point, Bai Chen wished she could go back in time. Back to before she asked so she could close her eyes and ask the question again.
A/N: Or... you could just not ask the question. but okay if you want to, do that. Don't mind me.
