Chapter 41 - Chapter 26: Back In India...

Sarah had a plan. She asked Mavis and Pauline to snoop into Samar's Instagram account to know about his whereabouts. Mavis said, "Okay, man, this is getting old. We have been hacking guys' accounts since we were in middle school, Sarah. I am kinda done with this matchmaking job. After we bring Olivia and Samar together, I quit." Aiden raised an eyebrow and asked in curiosity, "In middle school? Who was the first guy you did that to?" Mavis and Pauline exchanged nervous glances and then looked back at Sarah for approval. She nodded. Pauline replied, "Alright, Aiden. Since you and Sarah are getting married now, I think we should take this secret out of our chest. You see, Olivia, Mavis and I set you up with Sarah since middle school. She had a massive crush on you, so we did a little snooping in Holland College, I paid Chris 10 bucks to get him talking about your whereabouts--" Aiden's eyes widened, and he asked, "Whoa! Why did you go to Holland College?"

Mavis giggled nervously and responded, "Okay, umm... we sneaked in to view the footage in which you and Sarah first met." Sarah screamed, "What?!" Pauline, who was staring at the computer screen, yelled, "GUYS! CAN YOU PLEASE SHUT UP? I FOUND WHERE SAMAR IS!" The three friends huddled around Pauline, and they discovered that Samar was in New Delhi. Aiden shrieked, "NEW DELHI?! WHOA! CHRIS AND I ARE GOING THERE TO HANDLE OUR BUSINESS AFFAIRS!" Mavis answered, "Okay then. Aiden, you are in charge of bringing Samar and his girlfriend here."

Aiden screamed, "Oh, HELLO!? How do you expect me to do that? I am not as creepy as you guys! I have a reputation." Sarah put a hand on his shoulder and said, "Aiden! Olivia went out of her way to make you happy! She picked up when you fell, she made you laugh whenever you were sad! If you genuinely love her, can't you do this for her?" Aiden gave in and replied, "Sarah, after you, she is the next best thing that has ever happened to me. Umm... okay! I will do it! Only for her! But if that guy hurts her again, I am going to break his bones!" The four of them shared a laugh and prepared Aiden for his first flight to INDIA!

*IN DELHI...*

Samar and Sakshi were in a live-in relationship and bought an apartment near Sakshi's parent's residence. Samar felt like he was forced into all this and that Sakshi was rushing and going beyond his comfort zone. He regretted violently shooting down Olivia not to contact him.

One day, Sakshi asked Samar to visit her grandparents' house to celebrate Diwali (the festival of lights). Samar was in no mood to go, but he didn't have a choice. They got ready and left their house at 7:30 pm. Sakshi's grandparents lived on the outskirts of Delhi, so it was a long and tedious journey. After they reached their destination, Sakshi had a big surprise plan during dinner. The whole family spent about two hours in completing their Diwali prayers and rituals. They then headed to the roof to burn firecrackers in the air.

When everybody was tired and were hungry, they came around the dining table and began to eat. The dessert was 'gajar ka halwa'; a traditional Indian dessert favored by all the locals of the country. As Samar ate the last bite of his delicacy, he felt something unusual was inside it. He took it out and was shocked to see what he held in his hand: IT WAS A DIAMOND RING!! Samar's eyes widened with confusion, and several thoughts were racing his mind. OH MY GOSH, I AM NOT READY FOR THIS!! WHAT THE HELL!! WHERE AM I STUCK? SOMEONE HELP ME TO GET OUT OF HERE!! I DON'T WANT TO MARRY HER. SHE IS A WOMAN WITH NO AMBITION! I HATE THESE TYPE OF CHEAPOS! Everyone was staring at him, waiting for an answer. Sakshi was looking at him in the eye, and she knew what he was going to say. She immediately regretted her decision.

Samar composed himself and said politely, "Umm... I am incredibly sorry, c-c-could you, please excuse me for a minute, I-I will be r-right b-back." He rushed out of their house at high speed. He felt suffocated; trapped in a box with no way to get out. The streets were peculiarly silent that night. He just ran around with no final destination in mind. Suddenly, a car ran into him by mistake. Samar collapsed on the ground, losing his conscious. Everything turned black until the next morning, he found himself at somebody's hotel room.
