The assemblage of Sarah's progenitors with Dr. DK didn't go well for precise reasons. Since Sarah couldn't get into the prestigious institution of education of her choice, she obliged to repeat for grade twelve all over again. For that, Sarah's parents grounded her for a week until the high school graduation ceremony. Sarah wasn't getting graduated that year, though she was qualified for it, she chose to repeat the year instead. On the last day of school, Sarah called an emergency meeting at the SPOT for the last time. Mavis and Pauline showed up outside the library on time. After a long awkward silence, Mavis said, "If this is about your love life, then I am leaving." Pauline added, "Me too!" Suddenly Aiden showed up and asked, "Were we supposed to meet here? What's the emergency?" Sarah turned around and saw Aiden standing behind her along with Mavis and Pauline.
Aiden yelled, "What's the emergency!? Look, I don't have time! I have some important business to deal with!" Mavis asked, "What business?" Aiden replied with anger, "I know that Olivia didn't do anything wrong! There has to be someone who is behind her expulsion! And I won't rest until I find out who was it!" Pauline asked, "You don't know?"
Sarah screamed with tears, "Please don't, Pauline!" Aiden grabbed Pauline's arm and shouted, "I demand you to tell me! Tell me everything you know!" Pauline blurted out, "It's Sarah's fault!" Mavis and Pauline spilled out the details of what happened that day, while Sarah burst into tears. Aiden looked up with tears in his eyes and said, "Sarah!? How could you? I thought that you--" He stopped mid-sentence as his voice got stuck in his throat. He stepped forward towards Sarah, looked her in the eye and said, "I'm never going to speak to you again." He stormed out of the hallway, and he never looked back. Sarah cried, "What the fuck is wrong with you!!!!!!!!??" Mavis and Pauline exchanged a glance and fell silent until Pauline spoke, "He deserved to know the truth, Sarah, and you got the punishment you deserved." Mavis added, "If you listened to Olivia at her outburst, which was weeks BEFORE her expulsion, then this would've never happened!" Mavis and Pauline stormed out of the hallway without glancing back and neglected Sarah screaming.
Sarah drops to the ground and bursts into tears, commemorating the incident in which Olivia tried to warn her weeks before her expulsion.
*FLASHBACK*
Months after Vincent's proposal, Sarah ran towards Olivia, who was at her locker, arranging her books as usual. Sarah asked Olivia, "Olivia, can I ask you for some advice?" Olivia nodded her head with approval. Sarah continued, "Okay! I like Aiden and Vincent, both at the same time, but they are remarkably different people and--" Olivia stopped her mid-sentence by retaliating, "Whoa!!! Okay, you can back up with that stuff? Did you say that you like Vincent and Aiden?" Sarah nodded and continued anyway, "Yeah but that's not the issue. The problem is, who should I choose?" Olivia gave her a questioning look and asked, "Why do you care about what my opinion is?" Sarah said with confusion, "What do you mean?" Olivia continued, "I mean that, did you ask me before you went on that date with Vincent?" Sarah yelled, "Okay! What is your problem with Vincent!? He's a nice guy. And as far as I know, you always hang out with Aiden, and he seems to be interested in you." Olivia shut her locker door with a thud, turned around to look at Sarah in the eye, and said with an irritating expression, "Is that what you think? Do you think that when a guy and girl talk, that means that they're dating?! Is that you're maturity level?" Sarah scoffed and replied, "Whatever. He didn't even apologize for that project fiasco! And Vincent and I have a deep connection." Olivia yelled, "Sarah, that fiasco was about a year ago! You didn't give him the chance to apologize, because whenever he thought of it, he always saw you sidling up with Vincent and getting all cozy! And that used to enrage him! He never retaliated! Instead, he always removed his anger on me, and I always sat and listened to him."
Sarah dodged her argument and asked, "You're just making this up! So alright, love guru, what do you think that I should do?" Olivia composes herself and replies in a calm tone, "Look, Sarah, this is high school. You will have plenty of time to figure out your love life. If you don't forget about this now, this can affect your academics!" Sarah burst into fake laughter and said, "I may not be IB experts like you and Aiden, but I manage to get above 90%" Olivia asks Sarah with concern, "Wow Sarah, all these years I thought that you would strive, but I can see your priorities now." Olivia storms out of the hallway without another word, leaving Sarah alone with her thoughts.
*FLASHBACK ENDS*
Sarah quickly takes out her phone, sends a text to Aiden, Mavis, and Pauline:
DUE TO SOME KNOWN ISSUES, THE MAIN REASON OF TODAY'S MEETING WASN'T DISCUSSED AS PLANNED. I WANTED TO INFORM YOU THAT I FOUND OUT THAT OLIVIA IS CURRENTLY A STUDENT OF CHARLOTTETOWN RURAL HIGH, AND TOMORROW IS THEIR GRADUATION CEREMONY AND CELEBRATION. IF YOU GUYS WANT TO CRASH HER PARTY WITH ME FOR ANY PERSONAL REASON YOU HAVE, PLEASE REPORT AT THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT TOMORROW AT SIX IN THE EVENING.
