Chapter 31 - Chapter 21: Where is Everybody Now?

Ten years passed by, and the seven of them went in their own separate ways to build a future for themselves. Circumstances split them apart. What happened to them after the Rural High incident? Where did each one end up? These are mysteries that none of them had results for. None of them knew whether they would see each other ever again. "Sometimes, you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory that never comes back."

Sarah Sanchez: Sarah lost everything she cherished because she picked the crooked route. Morals state that it was up to her how to fix everything she broke: Aiden's heart by choosing Vincent and by not admitting that Olivia's expulsion was Sarah's fault, and the trust her friends had in her. But sometimes, we don't get the chance to fix it as circumstances don't allow us to do so. If God was willing to help Sarah heal the impression that her friends had of her, then she only needs to figure out the pieces of the puzzle and put them back together. Previously, what people heard about her was that she had to repeat grade 12. Sarah struggled and worked hard to receive the valedictorian of the year award. In her speech, she mentioned that Olivia and Aiden were always her inspiration, and her companions Mavis and Pauline perpetually sustained and encouraged her in her best interests. Whenever Sarah closed her eyes, she could visualize that Aiden, Olivia, Mavis, and Pauline were seated in front of the audience howling and applauding for her. No matter how hard she tried, it was improbable for her to neglect them; whatever they did for her, and how they aren't here with her today. Ten years later, Sarah turned out to be a successful business tycoon. She wasn't how she used to be; modest, generous, and selfless. Sarah was relatively well-known for being successful, ambitious and establishing a thriving engineering firm in New York in which she is currently working as the owner and supervisor; yet she is also recognized for her arrogance, ego, conceitedness, and selfishness. But other than her family members, nobody knew Sarah's darkest secret.

Aiden Zhou: At the end of high school, Aiden never acknowledged how he felt about Sarah, and he ended up shunning her for her parochial nature. But at the same time, he conceded that it was Vincent who made her like that. He decided to put everything behind him and focus on his family business in Beijing. His father's company made huge profits ever since Aiden came back from Charlottetown. Mr. Zhou decided to make his son the future chairman of the company. He planned and organized the official signing event in the Great Hall of the People. But before Aiden could sign the papers and hold the company under his name, one man from the rival Spanish companies sneaked in by hacking all the security systems and planted a bomb in the chandelier above the stage. As the bomb exploded, hundreds of people died; including Aiden's father. Fortunately, Aiden survived and managed to escape from there. After his father's funeral, one of his close relatives advised Aiden to catch a flight to San Diego and start a new life there while circumstances get sorted out in Beijing. After a few years of landing in California, he went on to become a famous Chinese model with a renowned stage name: Air-Man. His image was more like a 'ladies man' and the 'heartthrob' of the nation. However, he was always in disguise, so that the rival companies wouldn't be able to track him down. In this town, people didn't know who Aiden Zhou was.

Vincent Sanchez: As the whole gang knew that Vincent lured Sarah into liking him, but he ended up cheating on her with his so-called ex-girlfriend Lombriz de Tierra. They briefly dated again for a few months but broke off on an ugly note. Vincent then realized that Sarah was the only girl who he truly loved and who was in turn also head-on-heels for him. He tried to track down Sarah but found no luck. Eventually, he located her and took a flight to New York to apologize and start things over. After they reunited, Sarah said that she will forgive him under one condition. She said that he has to establish a successful business in any part of the world. This task was arduous for him, but this time, he was determined to accomplish it. Sarah might have said that she might overlook what he did, but deep down, she acknowledged that she could honestly never do that. Vincent flew back to Vietnam to open up a business with the guidance of his father. A few years later, he opened up his first cafe in Ho Chi Minh city named: Trung Nguyên. The Trung Nguyên cafe flourished to be a national franchise and a Vietnamese business group involved in the production, processing, and distribution of coffee. It is the largest and national coffee brand within Vietnam and exports its products to more than 60 countries, including major markets such as G7 countries, United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Germany, China, Canada, Russia, Japan, Dubai and ASEAN including Singapore. After the fantastic development of his business, he rushed back to New York and proposed Sarah to marry him in the perfect romantic way any girl could ever dream of. Sarah closed her eyes and gave her response. Guess what? SHE SAID YES!!!!!!!!

Olivia Madhavan: At her high school graduation, Aiden and Olivia got into an ugly fight and parted ways after that. They often missed each other and remembered the fun times they had together. Olivia and Samar also broke up after she decided to leave for Oxford to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor. Samar was furious, and he asked Olivia not to stay in touch with him. This broke her heart, but that didn't get the best of her. She topped the university with 99.8% in her final examinations in her BSC and her medical school and scored her first job in the Edenbrook hospital in Boston as an intern. A few years later, she went on to become one of the most reputable doctors in history. She is also relatively well-known for her tremendous contributions at social events which support the causes of needy people. Her parents went on to look for a suitable guy for Olivia to marry. However, she rejected every guy who appeared at her doorstep. A few months later, she then came out to her parents saying that she will get married when she's ready to, not when someone is asking her. After a lot of discussions, Olivia's parents agreed to respect her wishes.

Mavis Granzreich: Although everyone went in their separate ways, Mavis always tried to bring the group back together. She was still determined that the matter would get sorted out eventually, and the whole group will come back together. Mavis moved to Toronto to study architecture and went on to become a successful interior designer in a few years. Mavis received her prominent job gig in San Diego as the manager of one of the most established architecture firms in the country. She also pursued dancing and performed in various cultural festivals held in the city and received numerous awards for the same. She finally tracked down Pauline through Facebook, both of them exchanged phone numbers and conversed regularly.

Pauline Dela D'Cruz: After high school graduation, Pauline eventually fulfilled her dream of becoming a successful computer engineer at The DCS Cooperation Company in San Diego, California. All these years, Pauline has been in touch with Aiden. They both used to share stories of whatever happened in their lives after high school. Aiden always made up incidents and events and narrated them to Pauline while he was in China. He never told her about his father's business, or he turning out to be the famous model Air-Man. Aiden often asked about Sarah and Olivia, but Pauline didn't know where they were or what they turned out to be. But Aiden always believed that both of them were talented, creative, and successful women, and they could do something extraordinary in life. After a few months, Mavis and Aiden also exchanged numbers, and the three of them met at the Aiden's huge San Diego mansion. Mavis and Pauline always wondered that why did he have such a large property in a foreign country. Whenever they questioned him regarding the property, Aiden would always say that he spent his father's money for the same. The three of them never met anywhere else. Aiden had to disguise as Air-Man if he stepped outside the house, and at the same time, he didn't want Pauline and Mavis to know about his fake identity as that would raise up several issues and problems for him and his firm back in China.

Samar Anand: After Samar's crushing breakup with Olivia, Samar tried to move on but could never get over his feelings for her. Olivia wanted to contact him several times, but in response, he would never answer her calls and would always change his number. Eventually, Olivia gave up and focused on her career instead. Samar received his post-graduation degree from Yale University for physics in New Haven, Connecticut by scoring above 95 % and above in all of his examinations. Eventually, he became one of the most reputable physicists in the country. He engaged with a girl named Sakshi while he was a sophomore, and they dated ever since. Samar and Sakshi flew back to India after Samar completed his education and even secured a persistent and stable job in a prestigious university in Yale. One of the main reasons why he left for India is because his parents died in a car accident when they were driving to Connecticut to visit their son. Sakshi was not hesistant to abandon her career if she decided to marry Samar in the future. Samar never desired women who would quit their duties, and promises for love. He would rather be with someone with ambition and passion for their professions. Sakshi confessed to her friends and family that she was deeply in love with Samar. He would always smile and nod in approval as a response. Only God knew what was indeed going on in his mind.
