Establishments are a must, as they allow me to conduct a vast variety of businesses and gather a large amount of Wealth incredibly fast. Without them, I would have to resort to using the Shop System and other notorious means.
And those methods are not really good for leveling up.
To reach level 10 of my profession, I would need at least 1 Trillion in Wealth. With just money, I would have to be the richest person in the world. While that is possible, it will take me a while to gather that much, and I just do not have time to do so.
Level 11 would require me to have at least 28.5 Trillion. The total global wealth right now is about 360 Trillion. Owning the entire world would not get me to level 12 let alone returning to my original level.
Of course, the universe is infinite, and therefore the amount of Wealth I can gather is infinite. Just not with the Shop System.
The instant a Notification Window appears at the center of the Subway Station, indicating to me that it has become a Warehouse. I quickly dismiss it and disband the Warehouse immediately. While doing so cost me about 2000GP, it is actually worth it, as I am trying my Establishment Ability.
Only Abilities can be trained and ranked up. In contrast, Skills belonging to my profession cannot, but I will get to keep them as long as I have unlocked or obtained them before regardless of my level.
I immediately reestablish an Establishment, and since the only establishment I can establish right now is the Warehouse, there is no prompt window or anything of the sort. And just like before, a window pops up, informing me that I have established a Warehouse. I repeat, dismissing it and then disbanding the Warehouse.
Alex and the others obviously notice what I am doing. "Warehouse? What is going on?"
"It is one of my ability," I answer as they will eventually learn about System Skills and Abilities. There's no need to hide such thing from them. Of course, they do not need to know about Learned Skills and Abilities, such as my understanding of Alchemy, Enchantments, Crafting and more. "It allows me to fix this place, but I need to level it up."
Just like in a game, repetition improves proficiencies, and as a result, it will rank up the Abilities. Some Abilities are easier to rank up like others. Some are insanely difficult to rank up, but luckily, this one is not that hard.
It is just tedious. Like super, super tedious, and I wish I have known this the first time around. It would have saved a lot of people. I should not be dwelling on the past any more, as it is just depressing.
With each establishing and disbanding, I lose a little bit of GP, and by the time I lost about a 1 million, a prompt window appears. That is strange. Where the notification window telling me that my Ability has ranked up? It should be now E-rank instead of F-rank.
SSS-Rank is the best, but even at the end with everything I manage to own, I haven't managed to level it up beyond A-Rank. Not even S-Rank.
Since it is now E-Rank, I can establish either a Warehouse or an Headquarter. These are just two of all five possible Establishment. The other three being Factory, Production and Storefront.
I immediately select a Headquarter, and the whole area brighten up like it is in broad daylight.
