"Alex tells me that you have seen the future?" Thomas asks when we are heading out of the cafeteria and into the hallway. Each of us is carrying a loaded backpack or a duffle bag along with a hand weapon or two.
I chuckle in amusement. "And you believe him? You?"
"Hey!" Alex calls out before running to his locker to retrieve the gun as well as bullets. He is not being very discrete about it, but Thomas pays him no mind. Neither does everyone else.
"Just kidding man," I response. "Yes. I have seen the future, but I do not really know what is happening right now. All I can do is prepare for the worse."
Thomas nods, and he asks more questions while we head out into the front yard of the school. I try to answer his questions without revealing much since he should not know too much right now. It is also better for him to learn himself. Like I have.
Alex, Jessica and Alice also listen in while adding their own questions. Mostly about whether they are going to survive or not. Seems like everyone really believe that I have seen the future. Is it because of my Charm attribute?
It certainly helps me sells whatever I am trying to sell. I will need to increase it as soon as possible due to my Class (or Profession now).
"You're saying that we might be stuck here for months?" Thomas questions with a frown. I recall that he and his sister live outside the city, and that is out the Cube. They will not be able to get home if the Cube remains in existence.
I confirm with a nod before eyeing the growing crowd of people. The teachers are trying to calm them down and addressing their questions. To the side are a lot of unconscious people along with plenty of people who are trying to wake them up.
"I believe that we all just have a severe case of mass hallucination," one of the teacher shouts, earning a few snickers and approval nods amongst the crowd.
"The fogs must have been some sort of hallucinogens. I heard the Government is doing all sort of crazy experiments at the nearby base," one of the students points out. Other seems to buy into his bullshit even though it is the true. I already know that due to my future knowledge.
Even though the events have changed, I can still make use of what I know. Things that have been found and exploited in the future. That is why I will try to clear the Black Tower Dungeon as soon as possible.
"Hey. Hey. Don't get up too quickly. You must have hit your head when you fell down before," one of the teachers advises as he helps one of the students, who had just woken up.
I tense up and immediately grip my weapon tightly. "What you are going to see will confirm whether I am telling the truth or not."
The teenager looks at the teacher before smiling menacingly. His skin discolors, turning green as well as scaly. His elongated hand soon rises high and swipes across the teacher, causing the teacher to yelp out in shock and surprise.
"This one has a knife!" the teacher shouts and backs away. He holds his forearm tightly, trying to stop the bleeding, but before a single drop of blood touches the ground, his head goes airborne.
