Jay felt like he had just met his dead end.
'Why did it turn out like this?'
As Jay is standing, tranced, a certain girl is looking at him.
"You're the new member Crystal talked about? Good job there Crystal. With this number of members for our club, there is hope in saving it", the girl, who is the president, spoke.
"Hey there newbie, sit down. No need to be shy", the president said to Jay while smiling.
Returning back to his senses, Jay immediately pulled a chair and sat down. Looking around, he counted that there are exactly ten members, including him.
"You haven't yet introduced yourself", Crystal, who sat down beside Jay, whispered to him.
"Oh".
Composing himself, Jay introduced himself. The others also greeted him.
"Jay Elra? Hmm, what a nice name. Thank you for joining the literature club. Even though you really are the only male here, no need to be shy. I hope for all of your cooperations when we will have works to do in the future. By the way, I am Amethyst Reyes, third year high school student, section FAITH, and the president of this club. Nice to meet you all", the girl introduced herself.
"Gud afternoon everyone. My name is Rose Sachiko, a classmate of Amethyst, and the Vice president. I wish to be friends with you all", a girl who has a Japanese look spoke cheerfully.
Jay, who just stayed silent, tried to memorize their names. Even though he is mostly expressionless and mostly do not show emotions, his eyes still wavered. It is because all the girls in the room,.....are pretty. And what's more disturbing to him is that, they are in a room, a closed room.
'Damn it, I'll make sure Bren will not know about this. He'll surely make fun of me.'
"I am also the secretary for this club, Mylene Sali, third year student, section HOPE. My hobbies are writing and reading", a short girl with long black hair spoke.
"Both the Treasurer and the Auditor for this club, I introduce myself to all of you, Karla Mae Sali. I'm a fourth year student, section FAUNA. No particular hobbies actually, but I like having nice friends", a girl who resembled Mylene spoke.
'So they are siblings', Jay thought. Well, they are actually siblings.
"Hello, I am Jessa Kima, the Information Officer. I'm a second year student, section TITANIUM", a seemingly timid girl simple spoke.
"Hi everyone, my name is Sarah Keziah Farro, the former president of this club, but now just a member. I'm a fourth year student now, from section FLORA. I hope we all do our best, hahahaha", a girl laughed.
'Former president eh.'
"Uhmmm, I am Seckie Dario, just a joined recently. I am a first year student, from the Scorpio section. Nice to meet you all", a very cute girl beside Crystal spoke, even standing up to bow.
'Eh?' Jay appreciated the way she greeted.
It is now Crystal's turn.
"I am Crystal Montario, also a first year student from the Scorpio section. Just joined recently also with Seckie and Jay", Crystal said while smiling.
"First of all, thank you for letting me join this club. I'm Charlene Gregorio, a first year student of the Libra section. Nice to meet you all", the last girl spoke. All in all, four came from the first year class.
With that, everyone finished their introductions.
Amethyst then spoke.
"Okay. I think that's all for today. I had listed all your names, and all of you are now officially members of the Literature club. If you need any help, especially you newcomers, feel free to approach us as your seniors. And also... Jay Elra, since you're the only male, I am appointing you as a bodyguard for our club. No objections...okay?"
"Eh? Bodyguard?"
"Well, it's not like there will be fightings and violence that will happen. More like you are a Peace Officer, hahahaha", Amethyst laughed.
"O-okay".
After a few discussions, like when will be the next meetings and recruitments and so on, the meeting ended.
Jay went home directly and headed towards his room and threw himself on the bed.
'Damn it, I should have rejected Crystal in that moment. Fuck! I can't bring myself to back out right?'
'Damn damn damn damn!'
Jay continuously cursed in his mind that he kicked the wooden chair beside his bed, hurting his left toe in the process that he almost screamed.
'Fuck! Anyways, it's just a club right? Guess I'll just do my best to help if possible. What's wrong with that?'
Thinking of the time, he went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
