Chapter 13 - 13. Weekends

Weekends sure are one of the best times for Jay.

He doesn't worry about getting late for school. Also, after doing his chores, he can go out to wander around, or sleep or else, he will just play with his phone.

Nothing much, but Jay truly enjoys his time during weekends.

Saturday.

Jay woke up a bit late than his usual time during school days and had his morning routine as usual, except this time, it is Saturday.

Randy is still sleeping. It can be understood as Fridays are usually the busiest days for him.

Jay had his breakfast alone.

After that, he entered his room and opened his laptop.

Surfing the internet is one of the things he enjoyed in his laptop, even in his phone. What's more good is that, he can access the deep web, thanks to Mark. With that, he gets to know some information only few people know.

With nothing to see more, he logged in his Facebook account and watched some videos.

"Haysss, so boring".

Jay lazily lied down and he even fell asleep! He woke up after an hour though, and checked the time. It's nearing midday.

He went to the kitchen and saw that Randy had eaten his meal, but he is nowhere in the living room and the kitchen.

'Guess he is doing some paper works again?'

Jay went out, planning to go to the market to wander around. He didn't use his service. After being away from the house for a couple of hundreds of meters, he gradually approached the more populous area.

The marketplace is only 5 minutes away from their house by foot. Reaching the noisy place, he also reached a noisier area, where there are no roads.

He planned to walk around when he stopped to a certain place. There, Jay saw a group of men in front of a stall. A tall man with big muscles, apparently the leader of the group, is shouting madly to the owner of the stall, who is a man, probably around forty years old. Listening to the shouts, Jay deduced that the problem began because the burly man didn't like the expensive price that the owner placed in who knows what thing is it.

"Fucking gangsters", Jay muttered when he saw the tattoos of those group of men.

Even an idiot knows that those men belong to the Warrior gang, a medium-sized gang of the dark zones of San Francisco, and they had tattoos shaped like a sword on their necks. Even though they are considered weak and small compared to some large gangs and strong groups, they still liked to bully those weak people and extort money.

Occasionally, some of it's members may be seen walking around the marketplaces. Most of the time, they chose to behave when there are some members of some gangs and groups, since they also do not want to have a big trouble. Their boss might punish them.

As the shouts of the burly man got louder, several policemen are headed to the area. Seems that a concerned citizen called the police.

When those gangsters saw the incoming policemen, they hurriedly ran away, clearly going to the dark Zones, which is a very wide area where gangsters and the groups live.

If there is a place where even the police are afraid to go to, then it is the dark zone, and not only Rubando had its own dark zone, but other places in the city of San Francisco.

It is because even if the police enter the place and raided it, how can those people just stay back?

It is also known that the dark zones houses those people who are known for their great fighting skills and shooting talents. Thus, the police do not involve in the matters of the dark zones, only taking a careful action when the lives of the citizens and the main security of the community are endangered.

But even so, the police are actually afraid of some big groups and gangs. It all started when a certain group a few years ago attacked all the police stations of San Francisco because two of their members are imprisoned for several days just because they are seen walking in the highway wearing strange-looking outfits.

Thankfully, after the loss of the police force, the group didn't involve the citizens and went back to the dark zone. Several of the policemen died though.

Jay who saw that things calmed down proceeds to walk around and maybe buy a few useful things.

He still see some gangsters of different gangs around but only avoided them, afraid that he might displease them.

Jay went home after another walk and opened his laptop again. He browsed the internet, wanting to know some information about the dark zones of San Francisco and Rubando.

"Oh? Hmmmmmm....." Information are updated daily on the internet, Jay also enjoys learning new things.
