Mary ran into the Demon Forest! "Those damn kids! Always getting into trouble!" thought Mary while running through the forest.
Silvan's body was completely obliterated. Quint was happy that he was able to avenge his sister, but he could feel Mary's spirit energy heading his way. The ground started to shake, Quint looked around to see what was causing the ground to shake. "It's that demon again! Damn it? We can't catch a break!" thought Quint as he began running away.
Mary spotted Lucas and Shay and headed towards them. "What happened?" asked Mary.
"We got separated by the giant demon and Shay ended up having him alone," replied Lucas.
"He did this to her?" asked Mary.
"No, she escaped him and fought four other demons. She killed three of them. I can't believe it myself," answered Lucas.
"I think I have a better understanding of the situation. Get her outside of the barrier as fast as you can!" commanded Mary, "I'll go get Quint. I can sense that giant demon is closing in on him."
"Alright!" said Lucas. Lucas turned around and started heading towards the barrier. Mary continued towards Quint.
The demon charged through the forest after Quint. The demon leaped into the air and came crashing down in front of Quint causing him to got the ground. The demon was so massive that Quint actually was intimated and had no idea what to do. "I've been looking for you all night. Never disturb me as I slumber!" yelled the demon. Quint was shocked! "You're this pissed because I woke you up?!" shouted Quint to the demon.
"Yes! I need my rest or I'll be tired all day long," said the demon. The demon then stomped the ground, but Quint dodged it. He then tried to punch Quint. "Damn! I can't dodge that!" thought Quint. He then crossed his arms over himself, prepared to block the fist hurdling onto him. He shut his eyes, bracing for the impact. The impact never came. Quint opened his eyes and saw his mother standing there, blocking the attack. She turned her head to him and said "This is the second time this week that I had to save you. What a shame!"
Lucas had made it through the barrier with Shay in his arms. He laid her down on the beach and said to her, "You're going to be ok."
Shay opened her eyes and looked up at Lucas and said, "Take me to the water." Lucas picked her up and walked over to the water laid her in it. Shay laid there for a minute. Lucas watched intently. The water around Shay began glowing. Shay's wounds started to close up and heal.
The giant demon returned his fist and looked upon the person that blocked his attack. His eyes widen and then he said "Mary! I'm sorry!" The demon transformed back to his original form and almost started weeping. "Frank! What do you think you're doing? This is my son!" shouted Mary. "Oh! My apologies! I didn't know! I thought he was a transfer trespasser and you know how cranky I get when I'm woken up," said Frank worriedly as if he might die soon. "Frank! His name is Frank and he's afraid of mom?!" thought Quint. "Did you forget that you are supposed to notify me of trespassers?" asked Mary.
"I...I..Uhhhh... Forgot. I got so angry," said Frank. Mary gathered energy into her right hand and said, "Maybe I should remind you that you should fear me more than valuing your sleep!"
"No! I'm sorry ok! I'll return to my slumber now!" said Frank as he returned to the center of the forest.
Mary lowered her energy and began yelling at Quint. "I told you to stay out of this forest! You three aren't ready for it! You put yourself, Lucas, and Shay in danger by coming here! Think before you do these kinds of things! Ugh! You're like your father! A thrill seeker and always looking for the next challenge. You'll get yourself killed doing that one day!" yelled Mary.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I thought that we could handle it and I thought that being in here would make us stronger," replied Quint hastedly.
"Why are you so obsessed with becoming stronger so quickly?! Do you think I had a shortcut? I trained everyday, honing my craft! Getting stronger takes time and I know that you think that it's taking too long, but be patient. Put in the time here and you'll be protecting people from demons for years to come." said Mary.
Quint pondered on what Mary said. "Mom is right. I've been trying to rush things. I should just focus on my training so I can better serve as a Demon Hunter," thought Quint. He and Mary ran through the barrier and ended up in the beach.
Shay walked up to them and said "Hey!"
Quint and Mary turned to her looking surprised.
"Shay!" yelled Quint with a smile.
"So I can assume that you have healing power?" asked Mary.
"Yes, but I need enough water depending on the injury," replied Shay.
Lucas came up behind her and said, "You should've seen it! It was actually a pretty sight. The water was shining and everything!"
"I forgot to tell you all, but this island has a healing aura. That is why we train here. Under normal circumstances, you all wouldn't even be able to train like this. Your muscles would be utterly destroyed," said explained Mary.
"That's why I'm only sore after training," said Shay.
"I thought we were just strong and had a lot of endurance," said Lucas.
"Nope, it's all the island. And since your muscles heal on a daily basis, your strength will grow exponentially," explained Mary.
"Damn! That's genius!" said Quint aloud.
Mary made a fist and frustration was painted on her face. Quint gulped and looked frightened. "I told you about that cursing!" yelled Mary as she shocked Quint. Quint screamed in pain! "That looked like it hurt more than usual!" said Shay.
