Chapter 7 - The Mindblow

Allen was freaking out. He had no idea what to do and thanks to the signal jamming he couldn't even call for emergency services. He has to pay her back somehow, fearing the worst he snaps. This all happened in a split second. He was going to save her come hell or high water.

He had an idea, as stupid as it might sounded for him, he was going to save her. He grabs her just before she was about to die, and created fake bone, skin and replaced the shredded aorta with a fake one.

He succeeded??? Even Mea-Ling looked down on her wound, touching the hole where she was hit only to feel a solid barrier there, "What?".

She was alive and breathing and didn't even feel any pain real pain, "How the hell are you doing this?"

Even Allen was gobsmacked, "The hell should I know? I just am."

The assailant pointed the blaster towards Allen, not knowing what just happened, "No witnesses.", the assailant said in a modulated voice.

Allen looks at the individual and just raises his hand, with his other hand still on Mea.

The look of sheer wrath appears on his face, "Die!"

His eyes becomes a bright glowing green as black mist pours out from him.

A dome envelopes the assailant, taking the assailant by surprise, "What the hell?"

Allen just closes his fist, turning the assailant into a red little gore ball the size of a marble, while the dome still remained the same size.

Mea-Ling was just staring in disbelief. She was familiar of the power that the 69 could exhibit but this clearly wasn't what she was expecting. She shakes her head and chuckles, "And here I thought you were going to be weak, and we needed to do a lot of work....way to prove me wrong."

Allen raises his hand as the sphere follows suit as he releases the globe from its shape. The small marbled ball of gore immediately expanded into a radiant crimson mist. The expansion was so intense that only vapor remained in the sky as the wind carried it and no visible detritus was even left.

Except for a small broken piece of tooth dropped close to them, "That's gross Allen."

Allen shrugs, "It was either you or whatever that was."

A small bead of sweat starts to form on Allen's head, "Look Mea, there is some sort of jamming device active here and its really difficult to keep this...trick up."

Mea only nods, "Right, let's go."

The two of them walk together as Allen's hand is always in contact with her. Luckily they didn't have to go very far as the signal on their interfacers lights up.

Mea immediately calls the emergency services while Allen was sweating buckets by then, "Just a little bit longer."

A squad of drones arrives at their location. All the drones so scans on both of them.

One of the drone speaks up, "Puncture wound detected: Classification: Serious. Severe aortic avulsion Classification: Critical. Immediate treatment required. Unknown force controlling blood flow cannot commence treatment until force has been expelled."

Mea looks at Allen with understanding eyes, "Time to let go champ."

"You will bleed out if I do. You already lost a fair amount of your blood."

"You underestimate modern technology."

Allen wasn't sure about it all, but finally succumbs and reluctantly releases the barriers.

The pain was apparent on Mea's face, but the drone's immediately set to work on her.

Her wounds are enveloped by some sort of silvery liquid, as Allen holds his breath.

She was white in the face as she smiles at Allen, "See, you under estimate modern treatment methods."

"What is that stuff?"

"Nanobots. They act as a barrier to control the blood flow and reinforces the cells with energy to promote healing. My heart problem might require some surgery, but no bigs. The nanobots stopped me from bleeding out."

Proper vehicles with personal showed up at the scene, as some pretty man with a rugged beard shows up. The drone gave Allen a quick scan detecting only minor lesions.

"You one of the witnesses of this event?"

Allen shakes his head, "No, I am one of the participants."

"Could you tell me what happened?"

Allen nods his head as he recollected all of the events, "As for the rest you are going to have to ask her. She would know more."

The man makes a sweeping motion with his hand off his interfacer, "If you can remember anything else give me a call." he turns around and walks away.

Allen stares at the pop up details of the man.

Android: PDU L88526. Designation Lucas. He looked more like a grizzled army veteran. Intimidating, powerful built with brown eyes and rough dark blonde hair.

He weighed about 122kg(about 270 pounds) and was about 2.1m tall(about 7 foot), he was a giant of a man. Allen could only guess that the massive stature was meant to be an intimidating design.

One of the paramedic androids show up close to him, "She has requested that you come with her."

Allen nods as he follows the paramedic into the hover ambulance."

They traveled in relative piece as Mea speaks up, "They said that they knew my secret."

Allen just sits there, with an expressionless face, "And what was this secret."

"I thought that they were talking about you, but it might have just been bait...and I fell for it."

She sighs looking at the ceiling of the ambulance, "I need to protect you because you have no idea how important you are."

Allen sits back in the chair he was provided with and sighs, "Our debt has been settled."

Mea was confused by the statement, "What debt?"

"You saved me, now, I saved you."

"You talking about me rescuing you from the Burden Lands. Truth is I would have abandoned you if I didn't have an idea of who your truly were."

The truth from her was refreshing to Allen, but it didn't mean it didn't sting a small bit. Allen's observation of Mea was on of somebody who had a clearly callous nature.

He was only a job for her, never even saw him as even a friend, just the job.

"I will stay with you until you are out of this. After that I am out."

"Allen, don't be like that. I have a fair amount of political flak. You need to be protected."

Mea's eyes closes as she says, "We can speak about this afterwards. I need some rest."

Allen sits back and just lets it be.
