Chaménos forest just outside Sytti City.
A young man was seated opposite an old man, "We have a problem sir."
The old man was busy rubbing his eyes, "What now?"
"She has come to visit."
"She?"
"She says we were taking too long on the hit."
"That fucking malignant bitch!"
The young man tries sitting more comfortably in his chair, with fear on his face.
The old man raises his hand, "Apologies, we still haven't found the third party even after 3 months. What news about the young man."
"He is 24 years of age and is currently training under an Android called Alise. He also seems to be living with the target."
The name sounded familiar to him but he ignores it, "Without knowing who the third party is, I am not willing to risk it for that poultry sum. Send that bitch this way. I think it is high time we renegotiate our deal."
"Sir, you want to personally interact with her?"
"I have an idea. It might remove the 'third party' problem."
The young man acknowledges it and stands up to leave.
After he left the old man ponders to himself, "I ain't gonna give that bitch any leeway. Doesn't matter who the hell she is."
Alise's training Dojo
Allen left the room after pummelling Jake, as Lucia made an attempt to stop him, "Allen was it?"
"Yeah, who's asking?"
"That…was…Bad…ASS! Could you teach me how to deploy the null shield that stupidly quickly?"
Allen looked at the girl in front of him. She was too adorable for words, and she was an elf. Short about 1.6m (about 5'2 feet). She had an ashen white skin and wasn't particularly well endowed, but her bright green eyes and energetic personality made her look just too adorable. Not to mention the cool ears.
Allen scratches his head. He didn't want to reveal his status, or the fact that he essentially bypasses the initial phases for his ability.
Shrugging he replies, "I'm not sure I can. It's as natural as breathing for me."
"That is so cool! You have probably the quickest activation process I have ever seen."
Not wanting to reveal his hand he says, "Uuh, I really have to go. Catch up with you tomorrow?". He uses both his hands to point at the door, all awkwardly like.
"Oh yeah sure. Remember tomorrow. It's a date.", with that she turns around and joins the others.
Allen wanted to say that it isn't a date, but it seemed that she was completely ignoring him.
Allen shrugs, as he heads out the door.
Back at Chaménos forest.
A blond lady that looks like she owned everything walked into the room, "You have some balls calling me out like this, old fool. Clearly you have a death wish, and why is that little simpleton not dead?"
The old man's eyebrow twitches, "I want to renegotiate. The amount is too small for this job. I need a hell of a lot more credits. There is a possible S class third party involved."
"Fine, done, but I don't know why you guys are fearful of a poultry S class."
"Okay you are taking this better than I thought. I am asking double the price."
The blond lady sighs in disgust, "I already said its fine. Are you brain dead or something."
The old man really wanted to punch her, but he knew that this woman in front of him would destroy him.
He bites back the anger and continues, "I will need some of your clout in order for my plan to work and to avoid the third party member."
"Is this going to keep me out of the spotlight? Cause if it doesn't then I can just as well do it myself."
"There will be no tracks to you.", the old man assured her.
"Fine, what do you need?"
The old man smiles dangerously, "I just need some access to a particular vehicle."
Mea was intercepted by Alise before she went to collect Allen, "He is a monster!"
This genuinely scared Mea, "What!? What did He do!?"
Alise notices the fear in her eyes, "Relax, it nothing bad. It's that he is probably the most prodigious student on this entire planet."
Mea raises an eyebrow in surprise, "Hė…what do you mean."
"I taught him the null shield today, and it surpassed the Aegis shield ability, AND HE WASN'T EVEN TRYING!"
Mea was speechless. She expected Allen to be impressive due to the assassination incident, but not this level.
This made her think back at the harrowing experience, that damn detective wasn't able to find anything so far, and it has been three month!
Allen was casually walking out as he saw Alise talking to Mea, "Ah, ma'am. yeeeahhh….about Jake. He is currently sleeping in the sparring room."
Alise gave him a quizzical look, as she quickly studies the recent events on her interfacer. One shot KO.
She shakes her head and sighs, "Well, at least it will knock him down a peg. He might he solid talent, but he really should nerf his arrogance. I'll deal with it."
She sighs again as she leaves."
Mea grabs Allen by the shirt and starts pulling him to the car, and replies derisively "Well done. Another lady you went and scared off."
Allen looks at her quizzically, "What is that supposed to mean? What other lady?"
"Me, you idiot."
Allen gives her an indifferent look, "You don't count."
She knocks him upside the head, this was already the expected norm.
They both got seated in the car as Allen starts talking about the events of the day.
Mea-Ling was the first to notice something was wrong, "Must be a malfunction."
Allen studies their trajectory, something felt off, "What happens if something is disabled in the car."
"The authorities will come to investigated for a possible collision."
"I am going to disable the car."
"Wait, what? Why?"
"We need to nip this in the butt. I believe there will be a second attempt."
Mea instinctively knew what he meant, "Shit, shit, shit, we need to disable the car now."
Allen shakes his head, "No. I need information. I want to know who is sending these hits after you."
Allen looks at her fear filled face, "I am a hell of a lot stronger since that time, so you can relax."
"I don't care about you. I care about myself!"
"Your feelings is touching."
Allen continues, "When I disable the car, you run like hell. I believe there will probably be back-up contingencies. I will engage the main hit area."
"Don't be an idiot, there might be more of those assassins like last time."
Allen shrugs, "More fun for me."
They reach the top of a construction site, when the doors opens.
Allen is the first to jump out as he disable the car by crush a random component in the car with his ability.
The car starts to puff and cough while slowly descending to the ground.
Mea-Ling shouts out the window, "Be careful, and come back home safely."
Allen knew she would be safe due to the authorities' protocol. He also knew there was a jamming device active just like last time.
A different type of signal will be sent out, hopefully to bypass the jamming. Otherwise, she just has to run.
Slowly Allen makes his way to a large open area filled with all sorts of inactive a crazy looking stuff. A singular old man was sitting in the middle, as the old man speaks, "Clever child. You knew that there was a barrier in place, and it would only deactivate once you arrived here, giving you the chance to disable the car. Smart boy."
Allen shrugs, "I take it you're the big bad wolf."
The old man smiles menacingly, "Aye, but I am the bad wolf."
