Youxi knocked on the grand door before walking into the boardroom for her interview. The nervous look on her face was immediately replaced by a pleasant smile as she radiates confidence and professionalism, she was determined to get this job no matter what it takes!
"Sit down please." a gruff voice said while asking Youxi to take a seat in front of them. Youxi noticed that a panel of interviewers were all looking at her with a smile on their faces except for the man who asked her to take a seat. That man is Hongrui, the HR director of Huo Corporations. Hongrui is the one mainly responsible for hiring the secretaries for their CEO.
The panel of interviewers then started their interviewing process. The man seemed to pay no attention to Youxi as he was reading her resume intently and was very impressed that Youxi managed to answer all their questions with a professional and sincere attitude.
However, there was a look of surprise as Hongrui suddenly lifted his head to have a good look at Youxi's face. "Ms Youxi, can I ask you if we have ever met before? You looked like a person who I have met before in the past."
"Mr Hongrui, I do not think that we have met before," Youxi replied with a beautiful smile on her face, although her face has crumpled slightly at the confusion of being asked this question.
Hongrui then humphed in response to Youxi's remark as he showed a knowing smile on his face. He knows that Youxi will be the best candidate to hire for the personal assistant to CEO posting. Junnan will be so grateful for him when he sees his new secretary!
"Thank you for coming to this interview today. We will be in touch with you if you are selected for this position." Hongrui said as he did the closing for this interview while gesturing for Youxi to leave the boardroom for the panel of interviews to perform their closing discussion on Youxi.
Youxi nodded with a beautiful smile on her face as she thanked the interviews for their time before walking out of the room with the satisfaction of acing the interview! She knew that the job was definitely in the bag for her!
Youxi did a little boogie dance as she walked out of the boardroom as she walked to Jingjing and she relayed her good news to her. "Jingjing! I think I got the job! I know I got it!" Youxi exclaimed to Jingjing as both of them skipped and danced with happiness! Jingjing also aced her interview and was feeling great about it! Both of them decided to have a celebratory drink together with Aaron and Mingfeng to celebrate their new job!
"Cheers!!!" the four of them exclaimed as they clinked their beer glasses in a toast to celebrate for Jingjing and Youxi. It was so hard for graduates to find a job in this current economy so it's definitely a good reason to toast to their successful interviews! Not anyone has the chance to work at Huo Corporations! Only the best of the best will be allowed in.
Youxi's phone started ringing as she drank her pint of beer.
"Hello Ms Youxi? We are calling from Huo Corporation. We are happy to inform you that you have been shortlisted for position of Executive Personal Assistant to the CEO and we would like you to report to work at 9am sharp tomorrow. See you!" a cheery voice on the other end of the line said.
Youxi was simply too shocked for words! She knows that she is beyond capable and will be able to take on any challenge at work! But could she really take up the responsibility of being the personal assistant to CEO?
