Youxi walked nervously to the CEO office as she wanted to inform him that she is ready to leave for the Gala Dinner together. She stood outside the grand office door and knocked on the door steadily after taking in a deep breath for extra courage.
Youxi was extra conscious of how she looked in her dress as she does not want to see overly dressed for a "date" night, she just wanted to keep a professional relationship between her boss and her. She certainly does not want tongues to start wagging about how she uses her looks to move up the ranks in the company, or by other unorthodox methods.
"Come in." a manly and deep voiced boomed out after hearing the knocks on the door, beckoning Youxi to enter the office.
Junnan was in the midst of looking through the thick pile of documents and contracts on his desk when he heard the door knock by Youxi. He looked up to the door and was astounded by how beautiful Youxi looked in the white mermaid gown that Secretary Yang chose for her. Youxi's hair was styled beautifully to accentuate her perfect features, with loose curls framing her face, making her eyes look extra shiny and beautiful. Youxi basically looked like a goddess that has descended from the heavens. He was simply entrapped by Youxi's beauty as he continued looking at her with a piercing stare.
"Good evening, Boss. I am ready for the Gala Dinner. We can make our way there if you are ready." Youxi said with a blush on her face, feeling very shy about the way Junnan is looking at her.
"You look very beautiful, Secretary Youxi." Junnan nodded with a look of approval and said with a deep smile on his face. He felt good knowing that he had such a beautiful date for the Gala dinner tonight, all the other ladies from the rich families will know to steer away from him for tonight. He is just tired of those thirsty looks from the ladies at such events, they were simply tiresome to deal with and Junnan cannot be bothered with them as well.
Junnan led Youxi to his luxury sports car that was parked in the basement carpark of the grand office building. Youxi was surprised at how gentlemanly Junnan was as he specially walked to the passenger side of the vehicle and opened the door for her to enter. He even held his hand out to Youxi for her to maintain her balance while entering the low bodied sports car.
After driving for about 20 minutes, Junnan and Youxi finally arrived at the Gala Dinner. It was a charity event organised by Huo Corporations, so naturally all eyes and cameras were on Junnan and Youxi as they pulled up to the red carpet in the stylish sports car. Junnan alighted from the car and passed the keys to the valet before opening the door for Youxi and extending his hand again to help Youxi out of the vehicle.
Junnan offered his arm to Youxi, and Youxi hooked her slender arms with his and both started walking down the red carpet together. A handsome and tall man walking together with a graceful lady dressed in a beautiful white mermaid gown. Such a sight is truly too beautiful to behold and their shared visuals captivated all the attention of the participants and camera crew at the Gala event. All the ladies at the event started shooting dagger looks at Youxi, and started to gossip among themselves as they were eager to find out who Junnan's date was.
Junnan could feel Youxi starting to tense up as she was very uncomfortable with all the attention on the both of them, especially those murderous looks from the "ladies" in the room. Junnan leaned down and whispered softly to Youxi, "Don't worry about those people. Just know that you are the prettiest of all tonight."
Youxi immediately blushed a deep shade of red as it has been awhile since she got so close with a man. Junnan smiled to himself as he looked on at his blushing date, Youxi just simply looked even more beautiful with her reddening cheeks with those soft curls around her face. Junnan led Youxi to meet with his usual business partners and friends from other rich families. It was Youxi's job to greet and remember those important people as they would be important in her day to day job as the Personal Assistant to the CEO. Junnan was very pleased with Youxi's performance at the Gala as he continually received compliments from his friends at how beautiful and poised his date was.
Youxi excused herself as she needed to go to the ladies to freshen up, and she was suddenly stopped in her tracks by a tall man while on her way to the ladies. Youxi glanced up at the man standing in front of her and her gentle smile froze on her face.
