Youxi has just graduated with first-class honours specialising in Marketing and Public Communications from S University with the highest GPA ever achieved by a student. Her hard work and determination have paid off as she stuck with her "No dating principle" since she was 16 years old.
Although Youxi was the target of envy of all the female students in school, nobody could ever bring themselves to hate her because of her warmth and kindness to everyone in the school. All the girls in their school regard Youxi as their target as they aimed to be as successful and kind as her.
"Hey, Goddess!" Jingjing shouted while waving her hands maniacally while running towards Youxi in the student hall. Jingjing was the best friend of Youxi since they were freshmen in their school. Jingjing is also regarded highly in terms of popularity in S University, both of them are the flower girls of S University, often catching the eyeballs of everyone around them as they walked around in school.
The engineering boys even developed a special application on their smartphones just to track the locations and schedules of the S University flower girls just so that they can catch them around campus. It was just simply satisfying to see two beautiful girls studying hard at their school.
"Jingjing, stop shouting and running in the corridor!" the schoolmaster shouted at Jingjing as many boys looked in the direction of Jingjing and Youxi. Youxi lowered her head in embarrassment at the sudden attention and started pulling Jingjing away so as to run away from the unwanted attention.
"Youxi, I have something to tell you," Jingjing said while looking at Youxi with a look of seriousness on her face. "On this last day of our University life, I have finally caved in to pressure and decided to start dating! My parents have finally agreed for me to start dating after I graduated from University and I have finally accepted Aaron after his 10th times of confessing his feelings for me!" Jingjing shrieked with excitement as she shared her good news with her best friend.
Youxi hugged Jingjing tightly as they started skipping and shrieking in happiness for Jingjing's newfound love. Youxi was simply too happy for her friend. Even though she has sworn off dating for herself, she still has faith in the happiness of other people and was truly happy that Jingjing has found someone to love and care for her. She has met Aaron multiple times and was very assured of Aaron's love for Jingjing as he was the only guy who would only have eyes for Jingjing and not for her.
"Okay, let's stop screaming and making a ruckus in school now. I am so uncomfortable at the added attention." Youxi said with blushing cheeks, she would never get used to those hungry looks the boys had on their faces when looking at her. She would just ignore them and get on with their lives.
"What are the plans you have for your future, Ms Goddess of S University? You have always worked so hard and have achieved so much. You should have no problems securing a good job!" Jingjing asked as they walked out of school with their arms hooked with each other.
"Well, there is a group interview for personal assistants for their upper management tomorrow at Huo Corporations. I will be participating in that interview as it was always my dream to work in Huo Corporations!" Youxi said with a gleam of excitement in her eyes.
Youxi suddenly stopped in her tracks as a huge bouquet of flowers was shoved into her face. Youxi was so shocked at this sudden gesture that she almost tripped and fell backwards. Youxi and Jingjing looked up at the man holding the bouquet of flowers and smiled broadly. The man is Mingfeng, their University senior, a man who was in love with Youxi since she was a freshman in their school.
"Congratulations on your graduation, Goddess! Your hard work has finally paid off! Is it finally time for you to accept my feelings?! I have been in love with you for the past 3 years! Isn't it time to start pitying me and then start dating me?!" Mingfeng said while winking at Jingjing.
Youxi let out a huge sigh and rolled her eyes to the heavens but still accepted the bouquet of flowers with a beautiful smile on her face while saying "Mingfeng, today is not the first day of knowing me. You should know that I will never fall in love ever again. But thanks for the flowers!!".
"Ouchhhhhhhh!!! You have broken my heart again." Mingfeng gasped as he pretended to have a heart attack over the harsh words said by Youxi. However, this does not douse his love for Youxi, in fact, he is more than determined to win Youxi's heart and take care of her forever.
"Senior! You are being so biased! Don't you know that there are TWO girls graduating today?! How can you only bring one bouquet of flowers?!" Jingjing said as she playfully nudged Mingfeng's shoulders with a grin on her face. Jingjing has always known about Mingfeng's feelings for Youxi and she was always determined to matchmake them together!
