After leaving the town Sera and Forest took the Lycanthrope to join them to their journey. Although, Sera is against the Idea. She can't accept her as their companion. Sera wasn't fond of her, she hate her without any reasons maybe because Euphora killed humans just for fun.
However, maybe having her might benefit them after all, the two of them can't handle everything on their own yet. Sera thinks it would be great if only Euphora perceptions to the world change on their way.
She tried to ignore the fact that she was walking and breathing the same air with Euphora. She can't just clear her mind away. She tried to keep her self with her. However, no matter what she do, Euphora is not different from others who only kill for their self. to entertain them self.
Well, what can she do... even she won't get it too.
In the other part of her mind, She was thinking, what do this Lycanthrope have in mind? Her sudden change of her attitude and behavior towards them was totally different. Not only that, She can see from the side of her eyes how Euphora look at forest with such an eyes that she don't understand. Is she has something in mind?
'well, she won't do anything rash not under our watch. I won't let her in killing frenzy.' She nodded agreeing to herself.
She already got hard time hiding Forest true Identity and now, Another Demi humans came and joined them. What next? Elves and dwarfs that is also the human being mark as a treat on the world. A vampire and werewolf that always mess on the capital around year ago. Well, those are rumors but maybe half-truth as well.
'what a pain in the ass.' Sera uttered.
"I can sense a group of five humans heading this way. Should we kill them?" Euphora said excitedly as she smiled in ecstasy. She licked her lips as she her sticky saliva wetted her lips.
"Will you mind your tone? We already told you our conditions… You will not kill a human under us or we will kill you along the way" Sera angrily respond to stop her from being excited. She rolled her eyes as Sera spoke.
"What a kill joy" Euphora clicked her tongue." As if you two can beat me. It was funny for you to say that you can kill me" She laughed maniacally like an evil witch.
"What do you think Lord Reinhardt? should we kill every humans while we can" She clung to Forest arms as she asked him. She rub her big chest on his arms but he didn't utter a sound nor made a move.
Sera breathed in some air as she tried to calm herself down. She will try to avoid having a unnecessary fight with her.
However, her sense are great. A be useful for the future but again, it will be pain in the ass for her to deal with her if she went gone to way to handle.
Sera glance at Forest, he wasn't paying attention to the conversation, rather than looking up and feeling the surrounding around him. She sigh, she got herself in to an odd party.
A minutes have passed and they got to see the five humans that Euphora has been talking about. Sera glared at Euphora she just let a annoying smile that she can give to Sera. Sera turn her head annoyed however, It seems that, Euphora won't do anything bad to them.
Sera rushed to them as the other group saw them from the distance. A group of three men and two girls, all of them was equip with sword and round shield on their left. the other two were equip with bow and arrows.
She wave and smiled sweetly before stopping before them.
"uhm.. Excuse me" she stopped them. the man in front of the party looked at her.
"What is it?" He asked. His company didn't say a word rather than wait for the two of them finished their conversation.
"Hi, we were new to adventurer guild and we are kind of lost. How far was the next town?" she asked with a match of a smile. However the group wasn't showing any warm welcome to her rather than a monotonous voice. The girl at the back frown as she heard her. She just tried to ignore the various expressions of the man companion.
"The town is close just take the path straight and you will found yourself on the gate of the town. And also, you call yourself adventurer yet, can't even tell what's on the map. Use your head not your mouth." the man said, everyone just look at her for a second and they went off. They glared at Euphora and Forest that is behind her.
"sure are those new adventurer thought that adventurer guild for just playing" the man said at the back, he spoke it out loud making sure that Sera and her group hear it loud and clear. Sera ignore it like she heard nothing as she walk ahead.
"Well then, we are able to reach the town. I wonder what food will be waiting on it" She said to herself trying to lighten her mood.
"Maybe we should go for an eat all you can buffet" Euphora replied as she licked her lips.
"Huh? You don't even have a money t buy some sort of things." Sera replied.
"I have money to spare. Don't think of me like a fool." She said back to her.
"How about you Forest? What do you want to go before resting?" Sera asked.
"I'd like to have a nice bath"
"Nice bath, Yes. But you can't have a bath at the public bathhouse… private bathhouse are expensive." She turned around and round as she walk on the path.
"Yeah, why not try hunting those wild Bison at the position of 9 o'clock 10 meters away?" Euphora interrupted.
'I hate to say this but, her ability to spot on enemies immediately were cool.' Sera thought.
"Yeah sure, they might be cost a lot." Sera agreed. As she agreed, Euphora already went running on the way. She smiled, almost about to tear her lips apart from excitement. She leap and run as she smelled the strong smell from the thick soft fur of the wild bison.
Wild bison's are sure delicacy to some parts of the continent due to the strong smell of its meat, good for drying it under the scorching sun. Its meat also was chewy and do release smell as you ate it. Raw or cook, its meat is as good as anything you can imagine. Well, only some people love it due to it peculiar taste. The bison wool can be sell too. Due to the cold weather at the northern part of human continent. The wool was fetch and made for the people at the northern part.
Sera can't believe of how fast Euphora run. The only two of them was been left.
"We should go and follow her." Sera said before running. Forest didn't replied and followed her. Sera run but compared to Euphora, she was way to slow than the tortoise.
She already out of breath as she reach the place, they're outside the forest and a wide open space welcomed them. There are a ton of wild bison and horses on the place. She panted like a dog as she look for Euphora. And there she saw a wild girl slaying everything she saw. The wild bison over her area was running amok.
"That is enough already. We can't carry all of them!" Sera shouted to her. Euphora eyes shifted to her. Her face were covered with blood, she licked her lips as she smiled. She stroke her hand on the last Bison. She pulled out her hand covered with blood and licked it.
"I killed all of them.. Doesn't that mean the money will goes right in my pocket right" she said approaching sera.
"Yeah you do. But that doesn't mean you will get all off them the pay will be divided among us" Sera replied as she inspect the goods.
She counted it and frown.
"Great we got six bison now we will carry them on our backs and go to the town" Sera said cheerfully. She open her pouch and took out some ropes she put in there.
She toss the rope to everyone so they can tie the bison to be carried.
'two or three would be enough.' She said to herself.
"Now we will be having hard time carrying them.' she said to herself again as she sigh.
Sera carried one, Euphora carried three and forest carried two. Euphora walk like she wasn't carrying some big ass bisons on hr head. She walk like as usual. However, sera was almost covered in wool. The smell of it was killing her but she manage to breath like normal under it. She cannot see the path and she don't even carry the bison. She just drag it down.
They manage to to get on the two at the time were most people are on their home eating their lunches. They manage to drag the bison in front of the adventurer guild. The merchant guild do saw the goods and they offered to buy those double from the adventurer guild offer. Due to the method Euphora did to kill them. The fur was on good condition making the merchants in the merchant guild went to them and offer price.
The 6 bison become 180 silvers due to be condition. The innards were not that destroyed nor damage.
"100 silvers for you since you did the effort" she gave to Euphora without any bias and she divie the rest to her and to forest.
"Now let's go and find an inn to stay in." Sera told them "Let rent a private bath too" she continued. She was already almost covered in grime and blood. All she needs for now was a nice bath and a nice food for dinner.
The sun was about to set when they found themselves renting a house. It wasn't cheap at all Sera wonders why all inn in the town was packed with guest from other town. Renting a house for a month almost wipe her money out. Forest paid the half but Euphora didn't spare any coin at all. She end up using her money for their stuff.
She wanted to yell at her for it however, that would be shameless. It's better to just ignore petty stuff like that like a mature woman. She nodded to herself as her picture herself as a mature woman.
As they went in, the house was pretty small, the living room holds a little ornaments in the ceiling and walls. The floor was made from floor, it was clean but not that shiny. Some parts of the house are made with stones on the kitchenette the spices were keep neatly on the cupboards. There are some crops and supplies for them to cook. It seems that the money they paid in for was all worth it. The bathroom were great as for sera. the water is continuously filling the tub. Not only that, It also a faint great smell circulating the bathroom.
"Okay let's have a rest for now. But tomorrow, we will have to earn more money for our next journey." Sera announce. She sat on the wooden chair on the living room as she took off her shoes. She put it aside and went to her room.
The bedroom was small but the bed was comfortable t sleep in. It was nice and soft. She laid down as she feel the softness of her bed luring her to sleep tight. Without knowing she fell asleep.
Euphora in the other hand, she went straight to the bathroom and undressed. She never able to wash herself up for years. Her fur on her tail is as dirty as the rags that already used for several times without washing. Dirt from different places is on her tail. After hiding it under her skirt she felt her bottom kind of itchy.
She stroke her fur with the brush she saw lying on the top of the cabinet near her. Some grains of dirt fell off. She wince in pain as she felt her fur about to tore of from her skin. The fur that came off stuck on the brush and she kept brushing and brushing until she felt her fur untangled. She plucked out the fur that got stuck on the brush and use it again to brush her hair. Her long hair in tangled on the end rather than trying hard to untangle them she cut the part of it.
She smiled as she starred at her reflection on the mirror. She have change, she have now wear the scars that holds the memories that she want to forget. No matter how much she tried to forget, nightmares come to her every night.
She clenched her fist into a ball, her eyes tear up.
'This day forwards, I'll seek my revenge to those bastards' She mumbles. The memories she wanted to burry deep inside her mind began to play on her thoughts. As she closed her eyes, the tragic memory from the past become more vivid. Clear faces of the humans that are enjoying torturing them on that hellish place she don't even knew where it is. But the smell of the place still lingers on the tip of her nose. The smell she won't forget.
'I made it here. At last. I'll gather my own forces. Free those slaves and kill every humans we encounter.' She thought. She smiled. Humans crying begging for their as they beg for mercy. However those cry won't move her heart and spare them.
Blood splattered on the floor in front of the children that scream, horrified from the scene. Euphora laugh as she imagined humans scattered running astray.
Maybe, she think. She would spare that girl life and sera's life as is in debt. She scoop out the water in the large bucket and she let body soaked in it. she felt the cold water touching her bare skin that made her wake up.
The water was so cold than she expected. She embrace her body from its cold. her fur is already wet, she stared at the bucket and bit her lips.
"one more." She said as she took the cold water splashing through her body.
"this is what I hate when taking a bath" She muttered as she put a large amount of shampoo on her hands and applied it into her fur and hair. She scrub and massages her hair and tail after it she got hard time washing away the shampoo on her fuf and in her hair. She frowned and shaked the excess water on her body. Turning around she saw the bath tub she smiled and she touch the Red magic stone imbedded beside it. the water become warm and cozy. The mist went up and filling the room. Shhe soaked her feet, her lips formed into a line as she felt the warm water touching the tip of her feet. She went in and dip herself. She sigh in relieve.
She look at the ceiling of the room. as sh lay her back on the end of the tub.
"Ahh-" she moaned in relief. The warm water of the bath finally soothe her body. she eventually fall asleep as she got taken by the warm bath.
