'I'm really early...' Elizabeth thought to herself. Elizabeth waited patiently in her classroom for school to start. It wasn't until five minutes before class that people started to come into the class. After a few minutes passed and the teacher entered, she shot a bit of a glare at Elizabeth and sat down.
Elizabeth didn't notice the glare, though she could tell the teacher didn't like her. "Class is starting." The teacher said. The teacher quickly began her lessons for the day and soon enough Elizabeth felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked behind her and saw that someone was throwing things at her.
She ignored it, knowing that a conflict would just be annoying to deal with. As the class continued, more people began to throw things at her. The teacher noticed this and said. "I do not care what you do during breaks, however, while class is in session, refrain from rowdy behavior." After the teacher had said that most of the children had stopped, as to avoid getting in trouble, though a few still continued.
Every break most kids in the class would throw things at Elizabeth, and when class started most would stop. When recess came around Elizabeth stayed inside because she didn't want to get rocks thrown at her again. The teacher saw Elizabeth who stayed inside and walked over to her. "Why are you still inside?" The teacher asked with an investigative tone. Elizabeth looked up.
"Yesterday they threw rocks at me, I do not want it to happen again." Elizabeth said. The teacher looked at Elizabeth in disbelief.
"Why would they do that, there is no point." The teacher said as she looked around. "I don't like it when people lie, don't try and trick me into thinking someone did something they didn't." The teacher said sternly as she left the classroom. Elizabeth gave up on explaining it to the teacher and just laid her head on the desk face down.
When people started coming back to class, Elizabeth was sitting up and looking to the front of the class. A few children whispered that she is like a robot, staring forward and unmoving. Elizabeth tried to ignore them, but couldn't. "I-I am not a robot..." She said softly as she looked at the group of students.
Elizabeth's classmates looked at her for a moment, then continued to their seats, ignoring what Elizabeth said. After school ended for the day Elizabeth exited the school and entered her father's car. "Was today any better?" Mark asked. Elizabeth looked at Mark.
"Well, they didn't throw rocks?" Elizabeth said with a questioning tone. "I think they don't like me..." Elizabeth said as her expression sunk. Mark looked back.
"Tomorrow is Sunday, you get the day off. Let's do something after your mom calls." Mark said as he attempted to lift the mood.
"Ice cream?" Elizabeth asked as her expression started to become brighter. Mark nodded as he drove onto the main road. The rest of the car ride was just Mark and Elizabeth talking about ice cream shops and what flavors they should get.
...
Elizabeth is choosing one of her dresses for the day and found one that she wants to wear. The dress is purple and blue flames that form a gradient where they hit each other and fade into one another. The blue flame starts at the top of the dress and the purple flame starts at the bottom. The dress isn't frilly or anything of that sort.
Elizabeth left her room and went to the table. "Perfect timing, I just finished cooking." Mark said as he placed food on the table. Elizabeth grabbed food from the center plates, Elizabeth and her family have gotten used to the Japanese lifestyle and started eating meals similarly o how they do, using chopsticks to get their food.
Elizabeth still has some issues with chopsticks but is doing well overall. After they finished eating Mark grabbed his laptop and set it up in the living room, on the coffee table. Mark sent a message through Skope. A few minutes later Lizbeth called Mark on Skope, Mark answered and the video call started.
"Hey, guys!" Lizbeth said excitedly.
"Hello, mother!" Elizabeth said happily. Mark waved.
"So, how has the dig been going?" Mark asked.
"Well, it's not going as we thought... There is some sort of... Forcefield?" Lizbeth said as a confused expression showed on her face. "I am not entirely sure what it is, but it's preventing us from entering the tomb to inspect the inside, the team leader thinks it is some kind of advanced technology an ancient civilization found." Lizbeth said as she explained further.
"That's odd... Got any specialists coming out to take a look?" Mark asked.
"Yeah, he's supposed to be a genius, he even has his own tech company where he sells amazing computers and phones for relatively cheap when you see their specs." Lizbeth said as she started looking through some papers. "That can't be right, has to be some kind of misprint..." She mumbled.
"What's wrong mother?" Elizabeth asked. Lizbeth looked up from her papers.
"It says this guy is six years old." Lizbeth responded.
"A person who has his own company is the same age as me?!" Elizabeth asked in surprise. Lizbeth nodded slowly.
"Either that or it's a misprint... I'll have to ask the team leader later..." Lizbeth said. A person walked into the tent that Lizbeth is in and handed her something. Lizbeth's expression became one of surprise.
"What happened?" Elizabeth asked.
"Oh, nothing, we just got some energy readings from the tomb, apparently the genius arrived a couple of minutes ago and began doing some scans, but he claims that spiritual qi is covering the tomb..." Lizbeth said as someone else entered the tent.
"Hello." A young boy said as he walked up to Lizbeth. "I am Mathew Lockwin." The boy said as Lizbeth turned around.
"So it wasn't a misprint..." Lizbeth said.
"I know that you were given a specific period of time for this call of yours, but I wanted to introduce myself." Mathew said as he walked to the laptop camera.
