"Miss Lao, do you have any other questions regarding our research?" Lizbeth asked.
"Yes, just one more." Lao Xian said. 'This question is bound to get them tongue-tied, and give me the scoop of a lifetime!' Lao Xian thought to herself. "Mathew, in one of your reports you mentioned that your technology found complex prefrontal cortex signals emanating from the tomb, if the tomb has been covered for tens of thousands of years, then how is that possible?" Lao Xian asked.
For a brief moment, Mathew showed a smile. "Who said creatures from the ancient era weren't smart enough to create some form of stasis?" Mathew asked back.
"Almost any scientist ever." Lao Xian responded. Mathew sighed.
"Inside the box thinking... It's arrogant to think this is the most intelligent generation..." Mathew mumbled. "Think about it this way. Civilizations appear, and they fall, sometimes without a trace, this could be caused by many things, one being an advanced technology the civilization made that ultimately destroyed the civilization." Mathew started.
"If you read any of my research reports online, then you would know about four civilizations I found that are ancient, but had advanced technology, more advanced than ours, and these civilizations existed over 29,000 years ago, so over 30,000 thousand years ago a technology like stasis would be completely possible." Mathew explained.
"I-I see..." Lao Xian said. "Well, that concludes this interview, thank you for watching TheArcheology News channel!" Lao Xian said with an energetic voice as the camera turned off. Lizbeth looked at Mathew as he twitched.
"Is something wrong? You twitched just now." Lizbeth asked. Mathew shook his head.
"Don't worry about it... It's hard to explain, so I'd rather not, at least not now." Mathew said.
"Alright." Lizbeth responded as she got off of the couch. After a few seconds, Mathew stood up and walked to Lao Xian.
"Lao Xian, if I get interviewed, here again, you may want to do some research instead of thinking I am some kid with no way of backing my claims." Mathew said.
"Erm, r-right..." Lao Xian said sheepishly.
...
"That was an interesting newscast..." Elizabeth said as she stood up. A small amount of sound could be heard from the door for a few moments, then it opened. "Father!" Elizabeth said as she ran to Mark and hugged him.
"Hey, Lizziebear, are you feeling any better?" Mark asked. Elizabeth nodded with a smile on her face. "That's good!" Mark said as he went inside.
'The interview just ended, but it was recorded, you should be able to watch it!" Elizabeth said.
"Alright, I'll go watch it after I make dinner." Mark said as he walked towards the kitchen. Elizabeth nodded. The night continued quite normally and Elizabeth went to bed.
(May 19, 2011 AD)
"I'd rather not send you to school, but you still need and education... You should be able to get a new teacher by the end of the semester, end of the school year at the latest..." Mark said as Elizabeth's expression sunk.
"I know... But I really don't like it..." Elizabeth said with a gloomy tone.
"I don't have enough time to homeschool you, and certain papers were signed making it to where you have to go, I'm sorry..." Mark said as he opened the door. "Let's go or we'll both be late to where we need to go." Mark said.
"Right..." Elizabeth said as she entered the car. After a silent car ride, Elizabeth was dropped off at school. Elizabeth walked to her class and sat in her chair with her head tilted downward and a gloomy expression covering her face.
When the others entered into the class they saw Elizabeth and whispered amongst themselves. "Doesn't she kind of resemble a yokai?" One kid said.
"No, she looks more like an oni I think..." Another kid said.
'I'm not any of those... I'm me...' Elizabeth thought to herself as she clenched her hands into fists. Elizabeth's expression became even gloomier.
"Are you sure she isn't a ghost?" Taichi asked the two kids.
"Hmm... Maybe..." The first kid said.
"I-I am not a ghost!" Elizabeth said as she looked at the three children with teary eyes.
"you're right, ghosts can't touch things!" The second kid said.
"She's is rather pale, so maybe she's a vampire! After all, she's the same age as us but she looks like a four-year-old!" Taichi said as he laughed a little. Elizabeth looked to the front of the class as she stood up. Elizabeth turned to the door and began walking towards it.
"I am not... A vampire!" Elizabeth said as she exited the room. After a minute or two of Elizbeth sitting in the hall, the teacher started to enter class.
"Why are you not in the classroom!?" She asked sternly.
"I don't want to be made fun of again." Elizabeth responded gloomily.
"Words are just words, what you should care about is physical pain, not imaginary pain!" the teacher responded. "Get inside, the class is starting." She said as she opened the door. The teacher entered the classroom and Elizabeth followed suit, though her expression was still gloomy.
During the first and second breaks, children threw things at Elizabeth. When recess came around only the teacher and Elizabeth remained in the room. "Why are you in here?" The teacher asked.
"We've gone through this..." Elizabeth said as she laid on her desk. The teacher continued her work. "You still don't believe me... Even after you saw what happened during the breaks... Your illogical..." Elizabeth mumbled.
It wasn't long before the rest of the class came back. "Is she sleeping?" One kid asked.
"Maybe, you should poke her to check." Another said. The first kid walked towards Elizabeth, then poked her.
"You awake?" He asked. Elizabeth ignored the young boy and stayed looking down. "Hello!" the boy yelled into Elizabeth's ear. Elizabeth immediately moved her hands to cover her ears as she brought her head up.
"That hurt!" She said.
