Several months had passed since the mysterious incident that wrecked Puratynt B. On a heavily fortified paradise planet called Neolith far away from the Puratynt system, a council meeting was now taking place.
"The anomaly had been tracked to enter a suburban planet in the corner of the Galaxy. Puratynt - B in the Dwight Kingdom." A man explained to the audience using holographic devices.
"The planet has been quarantined and isolated, all kinds of attempts at remote contact have failed and the turbulent weather has made it impossible to observe the interior of the planet, but broad based analysis suggests that the planet has dramatically changed." An old man responded with a tired look. He was the monarch of the Dwight Kingdom.
"Are there any witnesses or records of what the object is?" An old man with a long white beard asked with his eyes closed.
"We suspect that it was a spaceship. Puratynt is a binary habitat system and the planet Puratynt A has reported sighting a certain shape shifting space ship appear suddenly from the void. The planet Puratynt - B has had drastic changes at the core level, it seems like the entire planet is erupting and radio signatures are suggesting a sudden rise of various extremely rare meta materials erupting."
"The modus operandi does not appear to be similar to any of our enemies across the galactic borders." A military commander motioned unemotionally.
"Organize a retrieval mission. We have to report on the situation on the ground, look for survivors... and retrieve the anomaly." The old bearded man said.
"I suggest sending the upcoming talents, it would be a good opportunity for them."
The old bearded man agreed and the meeting was promptly disbanded.

Red had finally reached the outskirts of a city, which was most probably Deutera, the closest city to Almos. However, even from far away he could make out the extensive damage the entire city seemed to have suffered from. As he closed in, his perception started giving him all kinds of warning signs. Heeding them, he decided to make his way to a vantage point and observe. He had with him a binoculars that he ripped from the emergency vehicles of the faring domes, meant for spotting incoming storms.
Red hid in the shrubs off the edge of a mountain like structure that looked over the city, camouflaging himself. Despite his intense tingling that something was wrong, and his inability to spot any other humans, he felt something was wrong. He had never felt such kind of a threat from the wild monsters. They simply scared hi, while this feeling was more like unnerving familiarity.
He didn't have to wait long. An hour later, a monster entered the city carelessly sniffing for prey. It was an extremely tyrannical monster, but unfortunately for it, it did not have Red's sense of threat perception.
A sudden gaggle of sharp roars pierced Red's ears as he was hiding fairly far away. HE looked on at what happened in shock. The monster was suddenly ganged upon by a group who shrieked aloud and tore the monster apart with the powerful claws on their hands and their jaws. The group was very peculiar. The individuals in the group were humanoid, extremely muscular and seemed to display an incredible speed. Their powerful hands developed into two fanged metallic claws that tore through the monster's thick mutated hide like it was molten butter.
Red was shocked and the rabid actions of the group instilled a deep sense of fear within him. These creatures... used to be humans like him. He was sure of it, as he saw that the leader of the group still wore parts of clothes tied around his wrist he could visualize them having been humans before. These hominid creatures however were extremely savage. It was then that Red began to see more and more of these creatures in the city.
Days passed by in this manner of observation. Red had become extremely gloomy. He had not managed to find a single creature who could be identified as human anymore. These new hominid creatures that had now mutated from the humans of the city were all there were. Not only were they ruthless and extremely hostile, they were also intelligent and extremely tribal. Red observed what could only be called clans of these "hunters" as he called them constantly fighting one another.. They engaged in rampant cannibalism as well.
Over the past few days Red had made a few deductions. He suspected that all organisms and things on the planet seemed to be mutating. He was being forced to consider the idea that not only have everyone on the planet mutated, the humans were no longer humans. They had turned into these powerful hunters, monster who were on the top of the food chain. Despite his improved physical health, powerful killing tactics that he had developed from his time in the wild, with his ordinary physical body, Red knew he had no chance against a hunter even one on one. These hunters could easily tear apart powerful monsters like nothing. One of the few advantages Red observed was that these hunters seemed to have devolved to an extremely ancient tribal lifestyle, their intellectual capability seemed to have been considerably reduced. They didn't use tools or weapons, simply their own bodies.
Red was confused about what he could do anymore. He had no means to escape the planet, and he suspected he was the only "normal" human left. Sometimes he wondered if he to had become inhuman like these mutated hunters or if he was somehow saved because of that blue liquid that was injected in him during the test or because of some other reason. He was hesitant to leave the surroundings of the city for this was the place more likely to receive help from outside. However, he needed supplies, weapons, information, and a means to contact the Kingdom. For that he had to enter the city, but he had to avoid these hunters at all costs.
