"RUUUUUN!!"
A bunch of B-Class monsters chased Xylvia and I throughout the hallways of the Ice Temple, located about 150 miles north of The Town of Colors. The monsters looked like Yetis, except they had black, bulging veins poking through their white fur. They stood a towering 300 centimeters and had hands that were big enough to completely grab my head and crush it.
"Of course this had to happen," I said as I ran for my life. "It's our first adventure together and we're already running into problems!"
"Hiro, over here!" Xylvia said pointing to a small crack in the wall.
There was light shining through the crack. I wasn't sure where it led to, but I prefer that over the yetis. Xylvia and I slipped through the crack in the wall and managed to escape from the yetis. They were too big to fit through the narrow passage.
"Hey look," Xylvia said tapping my shoulder. "It's the outside."
She was right. We managed to avoid death and escape with our lives. Once we made it outside, we fell back-first on the snow-covered ground. It felt like a cold, soft pillow.
"Do you still have the crystal?" I asked Xylvia.
"I sure do." Xylvia said.
The crystal thar Xylvia had was a crystal that people thought didn't exist anymore. The crystal never melts, even if it was placed in the scorching desert, and it gives you a magic power if you lick the few drops of water that drip down it. It was weird to think that a crystal that never melted had had water dripping down from it, but at this point I'm willing to believe anything.
"Let's see if this legend is true or not." I said.
I took the crystal from Xylvia and licked the few drops of water off of it. I felt a chilling sensation. I felt like I was floating in a lake for a few seconds before the sensation left me.
"HIRO SATOMI," I chanted. REGISTER: STATS."

"It gave me water magic!" I said.
"Can I see it?" Xylvia asked a little excited.
I didn't know how to summon it until I suddenly had different chantings swirl around my head. I guess whenever you learn some kind of magic, you get different kinds of chantings that you can use.
"AQUA SPLASH." I chanted.
A small ball of water emerged from my hand and splashed at my face. Xylvia fell on her back laughing. I shivered.
"I want to try!" Xylvia said licking the crystal.
After a few seconds, Xylvia suddenly tensed up. I guess that indicates that she felt the sensation.
"AQUA SPLASH." she chanted.
A small ball of water, the same size as mine, emerged from her hand. That ball of water splashed at my face.
"AHAHAHAHHHAAAAHAAAA!!" Xylvia laughed.
"I-I-It's...n-n-not-t...f-funny..." I said shivering.
We began to walk back to our base in the snow village. I was still a little soaked.
"ACHOO!" I sneezed.
"Sorry about that." Xylvia apologized.
"It's fine. I probably would've gotten a cold even if you didn't splash that ball of water at me."
"I hope we get to keep doing these adventures for a while."
"Maybe we should make an oath."
"An oath?" Xylvia asked tilting her head.
"Yeah. Let's make an oath. We'll hold up our right hands and say this: I swear that no matter what, we will never turn down a chance for an adventure. Even in a war."
"Ok then." Xylvia said smiling.
We both raised our right hands and made the oath. That was when I knew that we would be partners for life.
I woke up and saw someone resting on my arms. She had cat-like ears on the tap of her head as well as a tail that swung left and right slowly as she slept. She had dark, red hair and a cute little fang poking out from her bottom lip.
I couldn't help but blush at Xylvia. She was so cute when she was sleeping. I couldn't resist the temptation, so I poked her cute little nose with my finger. Her face scrunched up a little, then her eyes slowly began to open. She sat up and stretched her arms, her tail also looked like it was stretching as well. I think I could feel a small stream of blood flow out of my nose.
"...Morning already...?" she said in her cute morning voice.
"Good morning." I said.
She turned her head to face me, looking like she was still half-asleep. She smiled and rested her head on my chest.
"I think that was the best night of sleep that I've ever gotten." she said.
"Well, that's probably because you spent the first half of it moaning with pleasure." I said.
"Heh, yeah you're probably right."
We stayed like this for another ten minutes until we finally got out of bed because of our hunger. When we got to the kitchen, we were greeted with a table full of breakfast food.
"Good morning lovebirds."
We turned to see a girl wearing black, long-sleeve shirt and long grey pants. Her hair was brown and her eyes were bright green. She wore the face of a warrior's most of the time, but she does sometimes blush a little.
"Good morning Leonna." I said with a smile.
"You're boobs are a lot bigger when you're not wearing all of that armor." Xylvia said.
"Ahh...uhh...y-you...t-t-think so...?"
Leonna's entire face turned bright red after hearing Xylvia's comment. Xylvia was right about that though. She looks to be around a C-cup from what I can tell.
"Are you the kind of person that says bigger is better Hiro?" Xylvia asked.
I do like boobs, but I don't really care about the size of them. Xylvia looked to be at least a B-cup, so hers were smaller than Leonna's. Even so, they were still nice.
"First of all, I think all boobs are nice," I said. "And second, I think you're the one that thinks that way Xylvia."
"Bigger is better in my opinion," Xylvia said. "Which is why I had a lot of fun last night."
I was a little embarrassed by her compliment.
"Anyways," I said changing the subject. "Look at all of this food on the table. Did you cook all of this Leonna?"
"Of course," she said with a smile. "All of this was made by yours truly."
"I call the grey meat!" Xylvia quickly said.
"Of course you would." I said with a sigh.
Grey meat in this world are basically big sausages that are grey.
After we finished our meal, Leonna took Xylvia and I to the woods to hunt for monsters. I made sure to give myself a little pep talk before I went out. I needed to make sure that I didn't freak out again. I just needed to man up and get over it.
"That is one ugly wolf." Xylvia said.
The wolf that she was looking at was the same kind of wolf that injured me a little while back.
"You two should try some practice shots with your magic," Leonna said. "I'll go in for the kill while it's distracted. Once I get the blood, you two will have to be quick about it. When they die, their blood turns to ash pretty quickly."
That explains why Leonna never mentioned the blood from the wolf that she killed that day. It must of disappeared before I got a chance to drink it.
Xylvia and I got behind a rock while Leonna quietly climbed up a tree. When we got into position, Xylvia and I summoned red magic circles.
"AQUA SHOT." we both chanted.
About twenty bullet-sized balls of water shot out from our circles and hit the wolf. It was only staggered for a bit, but that was enough time for Leonna to go in for the kill.
"LET THY LIGHT MERGE WITH THY BLADE." she chanted.
Streams of golden light started to dance around her blade. She charged to the wolf and swung her sword.
'SHINK' 'SHPLK'
A trail of sparkling, golden light cut right through the wolf's neck. It's head slid off of it's body and blood, a midnight black, sprayed all over the place.
"Quickly," Leonna said. "Dip a finger in the blood and drink it!"
Xylvia and I ran to the corpse of the wolf and dipped one of our fingers into the pool of black blood. We then put our fingers in our mouths and drank the blood. It tasted bitter and cold, like sucking on a penny (I swallowed a penny when I was six).
"UGH," I said in disgust. "Why is it so cold?"
"This better not kill is!" Xylvia said to Leonna.
A few seconds after we consumed the drop of blood, I started to feel a warm feeling throughout my body. I saw my veins bulging on my arms. The color was a midnight black. It looked both cool and disgusting. Xylvia's veins were bulging and black as well.
After a few seconds, our veins stopped bulging and the black color faded. The warm feeling seized as well.
"HIRO SATOMI," I chanted. "REGISTER: STATS."

"Holy shit," I said as my eyes widened at what I was seeing. "IS THIS FOR REAL?!!"
"Yep." Leonna said nodding her head.
