Chapter 1 - I Found an Old House

On a day when the sun was shining. The birds were chirping. A girl named Nora, who was seventeen, began her day like normal. Her house was a big suburban house that had well-kept lawn, gardens, and flower beds. Her room was mostly kept clean. A few clothes are on the floor, which was scattered around. The desk was neat with a high-end desktop monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headphones.

Her family wasn't in any lousy spot whatsoever. She lived in the upper-class or upper-middle class. Her house is modest. Compared to her family's income. It was a 2 story 4-bedroom house spacious and an open floor layout.

It was ghost quiet, besides the clicking and clacking of her mouse and keyboard. The monitor in front of her face would have blinded anyone that stepped into her pitch-black room. Today was July 11th, 2019. Nora was sitting at her desk with the door closed in the middle of the night.

Traffic by her house almost nonexistent at night made it look like a ghost town. It was clearly way after midnight. This is when a gamer needs to decide to fall asleep-- or stay up all night long.

Nora rubbed her dry and blood shocked eyes. she looked over at the clock, "Damn, it's all already 3:14 in the morning!"

Nora, on the outside, was antisocial. However, once you got to know her, she would be someone who would almost be considered outgoing and enjoy interacting with other human beings. Her family was average besides a few quarks. Her father was not home much, being a salesman and all. Nora wasn't all that social when it comes to strangers. She would instead be reading or learning a new skill.

Nora started to thumb through the books in her bookshelf. she wondered, "what should I do now?" Algebra 1, 2, Calculus, Physics, and numerous other titles lined her bookshelf from end to end, all of them she had read before. Nora was a livid reader-- that's how she spent most of her time when she wasn't playing games or with some of her friends. At one point, she would read more than 500 pages a day.

After reaching the final book, Nora reached for her bed. Cool, crisp bed sheets soon became warm to the touch as she slid into bed and closed her eyes.

The sound of the wind flowing through the trees. A creek swimming down a side of a hill. A wooden panel creaking from side to side. An old wooden mansion on top of a hill. Opening her eyes, her vision was filled with the charred remains of the house.

Sitting up feeling the winding course through her hair.

"Ahh!" a gasp came from her mouth. The voice was unrecognizable. It frightened Nora that noise was made from her own mouth. Strands of hair rested on her shoulders. Slender and thin, her body seemed different.

"What the?" the spoke again from her mouth. Going through what happened, the last thing Nora remembered was falling asleep. 'Okay, Okay... I am only dreaming. I'll wake up soon! I guess I should start exploring...' With every step, Nora took the wood beneath her creaked and cracked, Nora was petrified that the flooring beneath she would snap in two leaving her stuck. The door was half burned down-- charred white and black. Examining the house, she noticed how burned it was; and also how old as well. The style was the mid-1800s. The mansion is massive-- Or at least was. The remains showed it used to have a central wing and two other wings on the side of it. It was in the shape of T.

Nora decided to check herself. Her clothes were burned to a crisp, showing her undergarments underneath. "Uhm… I suppose I should see if I can get some new clothes." she thought out loud. She soon made a way through the house-- which was challenging, to say the least, because holes lined the crickety crusty dark floor. After around half an hour, Nora made it to a room, which would seem to be a bedroom.

The room was charred black like the rest of the house. There was a wardrobe in the corner of the room, a bed in the center, and a chest by the door. Nora crept to the chest, opening the chest meticulously. The chest contained some charred clothes. Digging through it, Nora also noticed some brightly colored objects!

The Brightly colored objects were, of course, clothing. Nora inspected the clothes-- the outfit was spotless! A top with its primary color of white and gold outlining-- the sleeves of the shirt extended to the wrists. On the sleeves, there was little fabric attached that has a ring on it. Nora assumed it would go over the middle finger, making a slight covering on the back of the hand. That looks like it would be a couple or more inches above the knees. Its color was a deep dark purple. The last clothing that was salvageable was a jacket. It droops over one shoulder, the other side being sleeveless. The color of the coat was white on and a dark purple with gold inlay. The final things Nora could get out of was a belt and a pair of boots.

While inspecting the clothing, the jacket contained a strange symbol, which looked like a family crest. It had a crown with an eagle on it. The primary colors of it were purple, white, and gold.

The last thing was a slender staff made out of dark cherry wood. With ornate decorations, and the same crest where your hand would go. Nora took the team and decided to exit the house and started to walk. Where? She doesn't know.
