Sol was so used of packing her things since she was a kid. Her mother was a research professor and would require them to move from one state to another, and the longest they stayed is for 3 years. She never had a chance to build a friendship,
"That's fine I mean, it just that sometimes I'm just quite jealous for those who have a long time best friend that they can call anytime, I never have mine." Sol let out a sad face as she was packing her things and moving them to the truck her mom was always using.
"You can call me anytime, sweetheart.' her mom, Charity just look at her ' I hope I can really settle down as well, since we are moving to my hometown." There was some sadness in her eyes.
Sol saw it, but she can never take it away. There was sadness in every person's heart, and sometimes that will never be filled with just love.
"Your hometown mom, how was it like?" She tried to brighten up the mood as she fasten the seat belt as they are ready for the road trip. Her Mom made sure all the doors are lock and buckle up as well.
"That city is magical, it's filled with rumors, festivals, and wood craft.'
"I think I'm gonna love it there!'
The trip took them 5 days, they would stop for some cities they been before and eat with some locals they knew. The trip is over when a familiar house was in sight. Sol was familiar with it since they have a photo of it in an album her mom was keeping.
It was a old house built during the reign of Queen Victoria. Her grandparents owns this house and was passed down to her mom. The gate is detailed and enormous. Camilla, an old gate keeper welcome them with a warm smile.
"Such a long time, we miss your presence here Miss Charity." She was still smiling as she help us with loading all the stuff we have from the truck. " And you must be Sol, your mom always tells about you in the letters!"
Charity is an old soul, even with the android phones and internet if it was not a formal letter, she would send people post cards and letters. Emails are for work only.
"Thank you Camilla," Sol hug Camilla and ran out in the hall" by the way where is my room?" She ask excitedly.
"The first room at the second floor was your mother's old room, you can have it'
"I still want to have that room," Charity says with a smile. " Sol you can have the one on the right side, you will have the perfect view of the sunset in your own balcony.'
"That's amazing! Thanks mom!'
