Kyle stayed at the Harrison's house for dinner, and then went back home shortly afterwards.
Kyle and Mollie both shared the same thoughts. Aren't Mollie's parents being too nice about this? Wouldn't they be so angry and maybe even stop them from seeing eachother? Or even abandon Mollie? Well, atleast something worse than the current circumstances. They came to the conclusion that something was up and maybe they were either planning something or were secretly angry at it. Either way, they couldn't let their guard down until they knew for sure that everything was fine.
"Several Days Later"
Mollie wakes up early at 5am because she hears some noise coming from downstairs, and yes, she is a light sleeper. It sounded as if the door had been opened and then closed. She thought that it was just her imagination as her parents never get up earlier than 8am on a weekend as they need a lot of sleep because work drained their energy very much. Also, her younger sister is a lazy sh*t, so naturally, she wouldn't even want to get up earlier than 10 or 11 on a weekend. So she ignored it, and closed her eyes, falling back to sleep.
Whilst she was asleep, someone was downstairs having an argument with Mrs Harrison. Mollie didn't know of this person yet.
"At the same time downstairs"
'Why can't I see her?' A man asked Mrs Harrison.
'She has a boyfriend.' Mrs Harrison replied.
'And you let it happen?' he questioned.
'She's pregnant...' she hesitantly replied again.
'WHAT? HOW?' He shouted. 'This was not supposed to happen!'
'I know but, he's a great guy for her and she is very happy with him and I don't want to make her have a miserable time being a mother. They love eachother.' Mrs Harrison defended her daughter.
'We have to break them up! Get me to meet her in person and we can get to know eachother as friends and then I'll make her fall inlove with me eventually.' he planned.
'But her boyfriend is the father of their child, and not you.'
'You don't think that I will help her bring up her own child?' he rolled his eyes.
'You're being selfish. I won't take the baby away from the father just so you're happy. That child will become a bastard if Mollie marries you.' she said.
'Oh well?' the man started to get angry, 'You owe me!'
'I care more about my daughter's happiness than yours! I will pay you back another way.' she said.
'I demand to meet Mollie Harrison tomorrow! No buts!' he then ran out of the house and slammed the door behind him creating a loud noise.
"Hours later"
Mollie woke up. She remembered the strange noise from downstairs last night but couldn't tell whether it was a dream or not. She put on a comfortable big grey hoodie and black stretchy leggings and went downstairs to eat some cereal.
She could hear a creek noise coming from the stairs. It made her slightly jump. Mollie turned around the corner to see her little sleepy sister.
Katie looked extremely adorable in her grey and light pink pyjamas. Mollie thought that her younger sister wouldn't normally wake up this time so she asked, 'Oh, you're awake this early?'
'Yeah.' Katie yawned.
'How come?' maybe it was just her sister in the night as she was up early unlike normal.
'Last night, I heard some noise downstairs, so I came down when I could be bothered to check it out even though at this time, whatever the sound came from probably isn't here anymore but, oh well. I'm up now.' Katie explained.
'You heard it too?' Mollie's previous thought had dissipated into thin air as she heard that Katie heard it aswell which most likely meant that she wasn't the one making the noise. Unless Katie was lying, but she never lies to Mollie.
'Huh, you heard it?' Katie was suddenly more interested, 'I thought it could have been you, hence why I brought it up. I was curious, and now I'm even more curious as it wasn't you.'
'I thought it could have been you too... As you're up earlier than normal which means you could have also done something strange like wake up in the middle of the night. But I thought I heard the door open and close. Maybe our parents went out during the night for some reason, although that's unlikely.' Mollie expressed.
'Oh... Very strange then.' Katie said, almost cheerfully.
'Indeed.' Mollie said.
"Minutes Later"
Mr and Mrs Harrison came down the stairs. Well they are at home so it probably wasn't them either as they only heard it once.
'Goodmorning girls, how are you both?' Mrs Harrison asked her daughters.
'I'm alright, mum.' Mollie said.
'And I'm great! How about you?' Katie asked back to her mum.
'I'm alright, too.' their mum smiled.
'So, did you go out last night?' Katie asked.
'Excuse me?' Mrs Harrison was confused, 'Why would you think that?'
'Oh, you didn't hear a loud bang come from the door last night?' Katie carried on, 'Mollie heard it too.'
Mrs Harrison remembered how the man had slammed the door last night. 'Oh yes, I was downstairs and I had to put something in the bin and when I got back in, the door had slammed because of the wind.' she lied.
'There was a strong wind? I didn't hear a wind but I heard the door. My hearing must be very strange then, huh?' Katie laughed knowing that her mum was lying for some unknown reason.
'Yes, now don't be silly.' Mrs Harrison scolded Katie.
'Well, even if that was the case, it shouldn't be much of a problem anyway, it was only a noise.' Mollie said because she didn't want her mum to be embarrassed by saying such a lame lie. Her mum smiled.
"Soon After"
It was 4pm, and there was a knock on the door.
Mrs Harrison looked through the hole on the door and saw the man from the other day who she owes something. She turned around to look at Katie to say, 'Katie darling, would you mind leaving me and Mollie here alone, please?'
'Sure.' Katie smiled at her mum then at Mollie. After, she turned and left.
As soon as Mrs Harrison could see that Katie was gone, she said, 'Mollie, I would like to introduce you to someone.'
'Umm, okay?' Mollie wasn't sure why she would need to be introduced to someone.
Her mother then opened the door to see, once again, the man from last night.
She took a few steps back to let him walk inside. He casually walked inside, wiping his shoes on the mat politely. He had an alright appearance and was extremely wealthy. The young man kept his head up high with a hint of arrogance. He had dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. He was wearing an all black suit and black shoes. He was holding two flower bouquets. One big and one small.
'Good afternoon, Mrs Harrison.' he smiled at her, he then handed the small flower bouquet to her while still smiling, 'thank you for inviting me.'
Mrs Harrison wanted to spit at him hearing that he suggested that she had invited him, whereas she had no choice but to let him come. Instead she just smiled back at him, 'It is my pleasure. Thank you for these flowers, they are beautiful.' She then walked out of the room to leave them alone.
He shut the front door, cleared his throat, then said while smiling, 'Hello Mollie, I've been waiting to meet you for nearly a year now. It's really a pleasure to meet you today.'
Mollie smiled back being polite, 'hello. Why have you been waiting such a long time to see me? What am I to you? I'm sorry for being impolite but I don't quite recall anything about having to meet someone today.'
'Oh, of course. Your mother probably hasn't told you about me yet. My name is Peter Johnson and I come from one of the most wealthiest families in the country. I have been decided to be your near-future-husband.' Peter said elegantly, then handed the larger bouquet of flowers to her, whilst smiling with proudness, 'these are for you, beautiful.'
