The training room was hot and I darted behind a large rock from the terrain. The fact that Apophis could change the terrain was hard to wrap my head around by itself; but of course he always tops if off with a cherry. The ground shook slightly and I heard Apophis yell from far away, "The ground is lava~!"
"Bastard....!!" I scramble up the rock, clawing the rocky surface as the once dirt covered floor, became a bubbling monster of red and orange. I stared at the hot element as it glowed with angry wrath.
"There you are~!" Apophis called sweetly, my eyes locking onto his stature. His grin showed his snake fangs as his pupils became slits.
"Its been 15 seconds..! Stop with the lava!" I hissed at him as his walk grew closer. The lava parting like the red sea for him.
"Alright, alright." The lava seeped into the ground, my glare the only fire.
"You promised to..tell me how you do it..!" I jumped down from the rock and darted away, slipping behind another rock as I panted.
"I told you. Im a magician." His voice was closer than what I would prefer.
"No you're not. You're an asshole." I called back. Keeping my back against my new rocky shield, I peeked around, looking for the annoying smirk. I needed to know how close he was, and what direction i needed to run to dodge him.
The soft husky answer brushed on my neck as my heart jumped. "Found you~" I took a glance at the Egyptian as I turned to run, his arm suddenly wrapping around my waist. "Where do you think you are going?" He purred, yanking me back into his arms.
"Let go!" He pushed me back onto the boulder, its rough surface making me wince as it bit at my back. I glared at him as he pinned me to the boulder. His hands holding my wrists on each side of my head.
"Or what?" He grinned, watching me struggle against his grip. "Are you going to bite me?"
"I don't bite trash, thank you very much!"
His lips turned into a pout, the gleam in his eyes contradicting his expression. "Whatttt~? I'll have you know that I have been called quite tasty."
"No thanks." I fought against the galloping horses in my chest, the pounding almost audible if you paid attention. And from the look on his face, he could hear it. And he was loving it.
"You don't want to give me a taste?"
"Nope, I'm good."
"Suit yourself.." His grip slowly released, the step back he took letting me breath easily. The smile was still plastered on his face as he watched me rub my wrists. "Did I hurt you?"
"No. I am just disgusted with the fact I let you touch me." I responded as apathetically as I could muster.
"I'll try harder next time."
"There won't be a next time." I turned and started walking towards the entryway; my muscles burning and screaming in agony as I moved.
"Are you sure about that? What if I prove you wrong?" His steps fell behind me as we walked, the training room shifting back into its first look.
"You won't."
"And if I do?"
"You. Won't." I said, my irritation rising.
"...." He moved to my side, our steps slow and in sync. He looked at me from the corner of his eyes, the smirk growing to show his white pearls. "...But if I do?"
I smacked his arm as I sighed frustrated. "Then you have permission to...something..." I felt my face warm as I thought over my sentence.
"Deal!" He laughed softly.
I looked at him and stuttered over my words, "not like—that's not what I meant!"
He laughed, "a deals a deal!"
I paused, opening and closing my moth like a fish stuck on land.
"Hmmmm?" He paused his movements as well smirking as I struggled to come up with something.
I let a growl slip as I turned and stomped to the stairs, "forget it."
"Let's train tomorrow so i can prove you wrong~!" He called.
I paused long enough to give him a glare as i gave him the bird.
"You made the deal, Not me~!"
"That's not what I had meant you jerk!!"
"Too late to change it!"
I mentally sighed, the adrenaline slipping out like air as exhaustion hit me. I mumbled softly, "I know.."
