"Hey! Wake up! It's already 9:30 am!"
A wake up shout from my sister and the loud banging of the door woke me up from my sleep. I picked up a pillow and used it to cover my ears.
"It's Saturday, so I don't have to wake up early."
I lazily said and went back to sleep on my comfy bed. But after a few seconds, I heard another loud banging.
"Just let me sleep in peace just for now will ya?"
The words came out of my mouth in an assertive manner. But she didn't stop, and then the banging continued.
"Oh for goodness sa-! WHAT THE HECK!?"
I muttered as I turned around, only to witness the door of my bedroom flying towards the side of my bed. This spectacle made me awake completely and then I quickly jump towards the other side of my bed while cursing. Turning my head while still taking a cover, I saw my little sister with a scary face. This made me sweat profusely.
"So now you're awake, right?"
She asked with a spine-chilling voice. My body hairs all stood up at the same time. She entered my room and approached me slowly while I crawl backwards with each step.
"A-ah y-yes, I-I'm wide awake n-now."
I'm defenseless against her in this very moment. It seems I'll be buried six feet under after this. I gulped and looked at her eyes filled with the intention to break my bones one by one. My back touched the wall after a few more steps. But her advance towards me didn't stop until she's three steps away from and then her scary face disappeared. She suddenly turned around and went out of my room.
"Breakfast is ready. Don't be late."
"What a relief..."
I muttered before sighing. I thought I'll be dead this time and I think I should be getting used to it by now. That's what she does every weekend.
I went to the restroom to wash my face and then looked at my reflection in the mirror.
"Just another day, but it's weekend."
I fixed my disheveled hair, and went downstairs. As I entered the dining room, the delicious smell of breakfast filled the air. And there is my little sister, Chloe, waiting for me at the table. Her unique glossy white hair was illuminated by the sunlight that entered the room through the windows. Her petite figure mysteriously makes her beautiful and cute at the same time.
"Took you long enough."
Chloe said as she placed the eating utensils beside my plate and hers. I took a seat and she took the seat to my right. She stared at me while resting her chin on her palm. I saw her smile in the edge of my vision at me, and I looked at her direction. Her innocent aura gave me a refreshing feeling and peaceful atmosphere. And yes, this is bliss for me, her big brother.
"What are you waiting for? Dig in."
She waited for me to start eating.
"How about you? Stop staring at me and start filling your belly."
"Well, it's been a while since I last cooked , so I won't start eating before you take a bite of it."
I looked at the food and back at her. The appearance and smell of the food is mouthwatering.
"Go ahead, it's for you, big brother."
"Okay then, thanks for the food."
I quickly ate a spoonful of the dish she cooked, Pork Stew. The sourness invaded my mouth, and it was filled with pleasant and savory taste. Ah, this is complete bliss...
"It seems you liked it, based on your expression."
She giggled.
"It's very delicious! As expected of my sister."
"Thanks for the compliment, brother."
I wolfed down my rice and Pork Stew while she started to eat her gently. I continued to eat for a few minutes, and Chloe stopped after her first plate.
"Well then, let me wash the dishes this time, brother."
She stood up as I finish my eating. She picked up the plates and started to make her way towards the kitchen.
"Aren't you taking a break from work, lil' sis?"
She shooked her head without facing me. And then she started to wash the dishes.
"Well, I just want to spend some time with my brother, let me take care of this, for now please."
"If you say so, okay then. I won't stop you, but don't overexert yourself. You're still young, Chloe."
"Yes yes, I know brother."
I stood up and picked up a cloth to clean the table. After that, I opened the glass window in the dining window. The cool air of morning entered the room. Then I took a seat beside the window and then stared at the mini-garden just outside of the dining room. I fell in deep thought after I few moments.
Many people knew my adorable sister, as a genius. They knew her other side as a dependable, strong, and serious type of girl but when she's with me, her personality changes to cheerful, innocent little sister, but her mischievousness gets ahead of her sometimes. She only wants to be spoiled by her brother. Maturing early has it's own downsides.
She finished her studies at young age of 12 years, she was hired as a manager of a big company, six months after her graduation and she keeps climbing the ranks in her work. People always called her the "White Genius Princess" because of her talents and capabilities. But in the end, she's just my cute little sister that needs the warmth of her big brother.
"I'm done, big brother."
I turned around and saw her walk towards me. I smiled at her.
"So what do you want to do? Maybe watch a movie or someth-"
Suddenly a circle of light with weird symbols appeared beneath us two. We voiced out our suprise as the blinding light engulfed us.
