Don't try to live nobly. You won't succeed.
Circumstances of a Nhimphir
Nhimphir, a race born from an elf and a vampite. A taboo that is shunned by the elven race. A creature that is an object of discrimination. An Abomination.
Nhimpirs are the offspring of a female elf and a male vampire. Due to the low fertility of an elf and a vampire, there are only less than a dozen around the world of Sedalia. Their characteristics are, white hair, pale skin, longer than average fangs, and pointed ears. Despite only being a nhimphir, they live longer than your run-of-the-mill elf, due to their vampire blood.
The elves dislike them, because of the belief that they are "dirty". But vampires don't usually give a damn about them. Nhimpirs usually stay with their mothers, and their fathers, won't even recognize them as their child, leaving the mother and the young kid, behind.
The elves treat the nhimpirs as nothing more but filth. From physical abuse, verbal abuse, and in the worst case scenario, exile.
Because of their rarity, slave merchants fancy them, and would try to get them in their hands, using any method possible. They can be sold for a huge amount of gold in any country.

Anryil POV
I was exiled out of my village. My mother died because of a sickness and I never saw the face of my father. At a young age, elves tend to move away from me when I'm nearby or some kids would bully me by spouting some curses and by throwing some rocks at me. I endured the abuses for a few years, until they decided the fate of a nhimpir like me, banishment.
Forsaken by the elves and my father, I wandered all across the lands, without destination or a place where I belong. Entered cities and stayed in the slums for a few days and departing to another location. I steal, just to live another day. Barely alive, I roamed the country of Elise, where Nhimpirs like me are black sheeps. Until one day, something unexpected happened.
I collapsed in the outskirts of a forest due to starvation. I woke up with my hands and legs tied up with a rope and a collar on my neck. I'm on the back of a wagon with people on the same situation like me. But what suprise me is their eyes, you can't see a glint of light. I murmured.
"They already gave up living."
Men, women and children, of different species, with same condition. Thin and gloomy. They just sat there, unmoving while staring at an empty space. The only sound you can hear is the galloping of the horses, the chirping of birds and the creaking of the wagon. I look outside through the entrance at the back of the wagon. There are several wagons behind our wagon and my guess is, it also carry slaves. I surveyed my surroundings quietly and it seems we are in the middle of a forest, so it's not that long after I collapsed. The coachman can't be seen from the back because of the curtain in-between. I sighed and just waited for what fate has in store for me.
The silence continued until the neigh of the horses entered my ears. The wagon stopped, and the wagons behind it followed suit. I hear a shout of someone, but I can't understand the language they're speaking but it seems they're under attack.
I closed my eyes to focus on my sense of hearing. The sound of metal hitting each other, flesh being ripped apart, and the splattering of blood entered my ears. The sounds came from a single direction and after a few seconds, it came from another direction. The shouts of the people who are protecting the caravan slowly disappeared. I opened my eyes to scan my surroundings once again. I saw a young man who seems to be the attacker, passed by the back of the wagon where I am held to kill the escort who's guarding the wagon. After he slayed the guard with a dagger, the attacker disappeared. The slaughter continued for a few seconds. The noises slowly died down and silence reigned again.
"Come out now, you're freedom is restored once again!"
I heard a masculine shout from outside the wagon. And, anyway how can we get out in our situation? Our limbs are tied.
"Idiot, they're tied, you need to release them from their bindings."
And now, a gentle feminine voice was heard. It came from outside our wagon, and it seems the one who spoke is a bit young.
"Hahaha, my bad, my bad. Anyway, I'll get to it."
A boy with black hair entered our wagon with a dagger in hand. He gave his greetings without even caring about what happened a minute ago.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here to help."
He smiled faintly and proceeds to cut our ropes. He sheathed his weapon and dusts himself off.
"And now that's done, we will be taking you to Ggrenia. Tina, please take care of the other peeps. I'll be taking this one to the Royal Castle in the Capital."
I widened my eyes. Did he just say Royal Capital? Isn't that where the Royal family of Elves reside? I shuddered just by imagining it.
"P-p-please don't me take me there. It would stain the pride of the royalty."
"Can't do that miss. This is the mission given to me by a Royal Blood."
"What would the Royal Family want from an abomination like me?! Do you not know I'm a Nhimphir?!"
"Oh, I know about you being a Nhimphir. And that's why I was sent her to retrieve you and to be escorted to the castle."
My trembling legs gave up, and my knees fell to the floor of the wagon. Looking down at the wooden deck of the wagon, despair slowly swallowed my heart.
Am I gonna get executed...? This useless life would be cut short now it seems... Am I really a hideous monster... To their eyes...? Am I nothing but a... a failure of a living being...? Somebody tell me... Do I have... A right to live...? Please hear my cries... And answer me..... I beg you......
