Chapter 11 - Chapter 3.3: Fall of Castle Paltina

What you believe is the truth. What you experience is reality.

A Salvation For a Nhimphir

The young boy with a nhimpir in tow arrived at the castle via teleportation. He entered the empty throne room of the elven tree castle, and dragged the helpless girl in then he went straight to a corner and sat there after he released the nhimpir from his grasp. With a terrified face, the nhimpir backed away a few meters away from him and sat still. Silence filled the throne room, and no said a word for a minute.

The interior of the throne room isn't something to be scoffed at. The walls have sophisticated designs and are adorned by such amazing paintings about the elves, the red carpet is durable and exquisite at the same time. The floor is made with sturdy tiles that have intricate patterns. The most eye-catching thing in the throne room are the thrones itself. It may be made of wood but the structure of it is simply exemplary. Adorned with different gems and a few pretty leaves, the five thrones exude an aura that it is only meant for the chosen leaders from the royal bloodline of the elves.

But these details wasn't given even a single look by the two. The boy only sat there and seems to be waiting for someone, while the female nhimpir is still shuddering and having some negative thoughts about her situation. Finally the boy spoke up.

"Stop having that horrified face of yours. I didn't bring you here to be executed or something terrible."

He glanced at the girl and heaved a sigh. The girl looked back at him with suspicious look.

"How can you say that? I'm a taboo and is a shame to the elven blood. Do you not know that the elves value purity in their bloodline? People like me will be shamed and executed in front of the public when brought to the capital."

"I do know that of course. But trust me, it's not something like that."

"That's what a suspicious stranger would say isn't it? And also, you're a human are you? How did infiltrate the royal castle? That'll just make you much more suspicious."

The boy raised his hand and shook his head from side-to-side.

"I give up. It seems convincing you won't do any good."

Suddenly, the giant wooden double door of the throne room opened and two beauties entered the room. One is a short black-haired girl with a black custom-made maid uniform and a tall young lady with a silky blonde hair and wore a green dress that fits her curvy body. If you look at her ears, you'll see that the blonde missy is an elf.

The nhimphir girl looked at the newcomers with her mouth agape and muttered a single word.

"Beautiful..."

"So you've arrived, Tina and Yggdra. You sure took your time."

"Teleporting them might be easy but being asked for some information about what happened took so long. Also it seems, that you're illusion doesn't work against a half-breed."

The black maiden replied to the boy's greeting while he shrugged. The blonde elven girl bowed towards the boy and he gave her a nod as an answer.

"So yeah, this nhimphir is who you seek, am I right?"

He said pointing at the girl with a white hair.

"Yes, it is her. Thank you for escorting her here."

The blonde girl looked at the nhimpir and confirmed his question.

"No problem."

"So, little nhimphir, meet the elven princess. Princess Yggdra Yuril Artwaltz."

The girl was shocked hearing his statement. She immediately got on all fours and bowed her head.

"It's my pleasure to meet you today, Your Grace."

"I do respectfully ask you to stand up. You don't have to be so formal to me. Please just treat me as an equal."

The princess requested the nhimphir to stand but the half-blood wouldn't budge an inch.

"I-i-it'll be rude to you, Your Grace. Please just let this lowly d-disgrace to show such h-humility."

With her voice quivering, she tried to convince the princess that her hideous appearance might disgust the princess.

"Worry not, little half-blood. The princess won't discriminate you. I assure you that."

The maid girl spoke while the boy silently nodded. Hearing those words, the nhimphir slowly lifted her head and looked at the princess.

"Is that true, Your Grace? Are you not disgusted by this abominable appearance of mine?"

The princess smiled at the girl who is still on fours.

"What they said is true. Please rise and we shall speak our real intention of bringing you here."

"O-of course, Your Grace."

The nhimphir slowly stood up and fixed her posture. She saw the princess giving her a gentle smile.

"Now that's better. With that said, I'll get to the reason why I tasked these two to retrieve you."

The nhimphir stood stiffly and asked the princess to continue.

"So first of all, I am very sorry that you experienced such painful past. I can't relieve you the agony you felt for years but I do promise you, you won't ever feel the such pain again."

The princess bowed her head to show her sympathy. This made the atmosphere awkward for the white-haired girl.

"P-please raise your head, Your Grace. I-I'm fine now. You don't have to worry about me."

"I do care about your condition after all. Please do accept this one's apology. This is the only way I could repent. I couldn't even save you from the discrimination you experienced for so long."

The princess was trying to apologize while stubbornly bowing her head.

"Now, let's get to the reason why I retrieved you from out there."

This time, it's the boy's turn to speak to her. He stepped forward and is noe only a meter away from the nhimphir.

"Listen closely, this will be a bit of a long story."

Then the young lad started to narrate what she needs to hear.
