Chapter 2 - Practice

Kody's POV

My alarm clock goes off at 6 o'clock and I turn my alarm off. I was getting ready for school while I hear Lumine walking into my room checking to see if I was ready yet. Once I put on my shoes, we were both ready to head off to school.

8 hours later

While Lumine and I were taking the short cut home through the woods, we were discussing on what time we should practice for the next few days.

"I think it would be around 6 o'clock when I usually get done with my homework" "What do you think about practicing around that time for about 2 hours?

"Just be careful not overdo it" said Lumine. "We need to make sure you're able to play the piano or we'll be up the shoot if you injure yourself" he told me.

Lumine's POV

Once we got back to the manor, Kody heads straight upstairs to do his homework. While I was waiting 'till 6 o'clock, I pulled out my smartphone and clicked my YouTube app and pulled up Moonlight Destiny from Aikatsu. I put in my Earbuds and sang along.

A light was born inside of me to shine like the moon.

It feels so warm when I'm with you.

The stars in the sky light the way and lead me home.

I will always be with you walking hand in hand.

When I gently cast a shadow in the moonlight, I kiss you in the middle of the night.

I walk this path... with our hearts gleaming under the moon.

I believe in our eternal love.

I trust you; trust me with our bond declared with my love!

I stop singing and when I least expect it, see Kody standing right behind the living room couch. "That was pretty! Almost like a lullaby" says Kody. "It was a song that my mom used to sing me to sleep with while she was still alive" I said to Kody.

"How long ago did she pass away?" Asked Kody. I told Kody that she died when I was around ten. I'm fifteen so it's been around 5 years since she's been gone. I told Kody singing this song was the only memory I have left of her. Before I noticed it, I felt a tear trickling down my cheek. Kody then gives me a hug to cheer me up then once I felt better, we both practiced to our hearts' content.
