Thursday morning
At home
Lumine's POV
Tomorrow night is the school festival and all ten students in music class including me and Kody will be performing in the festival.
In my opinion, it's a great time for practicing for the program.
For this special occasion, Kody and I wanted to write a song together.
Kody was working on the music since he had more experience reading it, and I was writing lyrics since I do well in English class. We decided to call our song Diamond Crevasse. During class, we were all outside decorating the stage.
Since I was taller than Kody by a couple of inches, I was helping with the banner and Kody was keeping my ladder steady.
Once I got the banner hung on the right side, I climbed down then Kody and I moved the ladder to the other side which was directly underneath a tree branch.
Once we opened the ladder, I made my way up to the top of the ladder in order to hang the banner.
Now that I was done with the banner, I made my way down. As I was making my way down the ladder, my coat managed to get caught on the branch and my feet slipped off the ladder which caused me to get stuck in the tree.
Now that I mention it, I do have a slight fear of heights.
"Just hang on Lumine! We're going to find a blanket to catch you with so we can burn the branch with fire magic." Yelled Kody.
Kody and Calla made their way to the shed behind the stage that had props inside. "Since Mrs Rin gave us the key, opening the door shouldn't take too long" Said Kody.
With one quick twist of the key, the door was open. The blanket was sitting in the entrance to the shed so it was not too hard to find.
When the two students made their way back, Kody and Calla close the ladder then they move it out of the way so it doesn't damage the stage in the process.
As Calla was charging up her magic, four students each took a corner of the blanket and then they positioned themselves underneath me so that they can catch me. When everyone thinks their ready to catch me, Calla aims for the branch then fires it off. The spell hits the branch then I start my descent.
I guide myself so I can hit my mark into the blanket.
I managed to land into the blanket and bounce back onto solid ground.
I was so happy everyone saved my life!
I'll remember that this day for the rest of my days!!
A few minutes after lunch, the final bell signals that it's time for us to go home.
As Kody and I were making our way home through the woods, I was in the process of finishing the lyrics to our song while making sure I didn't hit anything. While I was writing, Kody was listening to music on my phone.
Just before we both made it to the gate of the manor, I had already finished the lyrics.
All that is left to do is to practice the song.
Once the gigantic metal gate opens, we both make our way to the piano.
Kody starts to play as I sang along.
Eternal love is the one thing we're all wishing for.
We reach to the stars and we dance along with the moon.
The stars are shining along the water's edge.
We wipe away our tears and then we sing this song.
It's so long goodbye.
Goodbye, goodbye, so many times I repeated the same word to myself.
I wave my hands gently.
I'll become stronger now.
The moon and the stars will guide us as we find our way.
My love for you, is it really true?
I will always be there for you when you feel lost.
When you spread your wings, my whole body sings for you.
