In the Bathroom
Lumine's POV
I'm looking at myself in the mirror as a girl yet again.
As I washed my face, a drop of water drips on the blue jewel. The bracelet flashed and then after the light dims I am back to normal.
"So if I get the bracelet wet, it'll change me into a girl." I thought to myself.
I quickly took a note of this and then tried to prevent the bracelet from getting wet.
I return to my daily routine, but since it's the weekend it's much more simple.
All I got to do is be sure that we get some practice in before Monday's rehearsal.
We only have two weeks until the program and we need all the practice we can get.
It was about lunchtime when I made my way into the living room when Aiden tells us all that lunch was ready.
During our meal, I announced that my previous predicament came back to haunt me. I also told them I changed back when I got the bracelet wet a second time. Everybody at the table sighs in relief that I am not stuck as a girl yet again.
"You think in your female form you could sing a song along with Mitsuki?" Asked Kody. "That's right, I almost forgot to tell you since you were taking a shower. Mitsuki is coming for a visit today." Said Aiden. My mouth drops in shock. A famous singer is coming for a visit at Kody's home. I was ecstatic!!
"I guess I can see what I can do since all I need is a drop of water in order change myself not mention my whole wardrobe." I said. After the meal was done and dishes were washed, Mitsuki arrives along with her grandmother. Aiden meets the two women at the front door.
"Mrs Kouyama this quite the coincidence. You never leave your country nor come visit." Said Aiden.
"It was actually Mitsuki's idea that I come along." She said.
Aiden leads Mitsuki and the elderly woman into the living room as Kody and I were bringing some cups of tea for everyone.
Once Mitsuki and her grandmother were comfortable, I asked Mitsuki if she could accompany me into the kitchen.
"Mitsuki do you remember when your shinigami friends were aging you from 12 to 16? Well I'm in a similar predicament, but it causes me to change into a girl whenever my bracelet gets wet." I said to Mitsuki.
"I was wondering if you would like to sing with me in my female form?" I asked.
She accepted my request.
I walk over to the sink and let a drop of water drip onto my bracelet. A flash of light covers my whole body and my dress clothes change into a white party dress with a gold sash around my waist.
My hair grew longer and tied itself into a ponytail.
We both walk into the living room and stand next to the piano.
"Grandmother before you get confused, that's Lumine standing next to me. It's due to his bracelet because of Kody's botched spell last night."
"Anyway, we are going to sing you guys a song called Breathe by Lee Hi" Said Mitsuki.
I pulled up the song and linked my phone to the radio with Bluetooth.
The song starts and our performance begins.
Take a breath and let it in until your heart begins to ache.
Everybody feels pain every now and then.
Take a breath and let it in.
Your tears begin to fall.
Cry it out 'till everything is clear.
Love, it's alright to run out of breath sometimes.
No one can make you.
We all need to cry.
It's okay to make mistakes.
That's what it means to be alive.
I'll be right here hearing your loving words.
When it's raining, I am singing.
I'm here for you.
All you need is your love's gentle touch.
When you're crying, I'll always be there by your side.
Close your eyes, take a breath and let it go.
The elderly woman puts her hand up to her mouth, stood up and comes over to hug both of our necks.
"That was wonderful you two! You've given me back my love for music that I locked away long ago when Mitsuki's mother died. Thank you both." She said as tears begin to fall down her face.
