The next morning we all had a free day with no classes to start back up yet due to the prolonged tournament, So I take the time to go ask Naiomi if she wanted to go out to town with me. I walk to her door and lightly knock on her door and when I hear her voice ring out from behind the door I walk in but stop when I see Kana and her sitting on the bed with big grins on their faces.
"What's up Yuki?"
Naiomi smiles warmly, I look back towards Kana and then back at Naiomi.
" It's nothing I will come back later."
and with that said I quickly shut the door behind me.
(It seems Naiomi and Kana are getting quite close, I should watch myself around them from now on.)
I turn around but bump into someone which causes me to stagger.
"Oh, I'm sorry-"
I stop mid-sentence when I notice who it was.
(Kazuki...What is he doing here again...)
Kazuki smirks at me.
"Just the person I have been looking for, come with me, little sis."
I shake my head with a serious expression and take a step back.
"No way am I going to come with you."
he laughs for a second but then his expression changes to completely serious.
"Obey me or else."
(He's always playing tricks, but at the same time I can't risk the lives of Mother and Kirito I must comply.)
Kazuki turns away and begins to walk and I follow close behind. I purposely drop my favorite bracelet in front of Kirito's door as we walk by and continue to follow Kazuki. He leads me to a secluded wooded area near the school where he then turns to me with a wicked smile.
" I haven't seen you since the race, how do you feel?"
I ignore his question and watch as he walks circles around me.
" Ok let me ask you another question then, do you have an answer to my proposal yet? I hear your mom's not doing so well being locked away in her ice-cold cell."
I clench my fist but keep my cool, He stops behind me and I turn around so that I can see him clearly.
" Still no response??"
he sighs and begins to walk towards me.
"Kazuki if you dare take another step you will not like what will happen next!"
he stops midway and laughs.
"Dear sister you can not even use your magic right now and even if you did you would be killed and your goal will never be accomplished so why make false threats?"
I smirk back at him.
"If you really want to know then take another step forward and let's see."
his face goes dark and he snickers.
"You can tell your little boy toy you asked for it!" He lunges at me and I smirk."
(This...This is my perfect opportunity.)
*BOOM*
I use my ice magic and throw him flying into a tree breaking it in half making it fall to the side, he looks up at me quickly as I dart towards him with a dagger and swing at him but he quickly blocks it with his.
"You idiot! Are you asking to court death! How are you still able to use magic and not feel the effects!"
I smirk and sidekick him in the head knocking him back onto the ground, I then keep landing punch after punch and punch into his face as hard as I possibly could and as quickly as I could.
"This is the day I have been longing for Kazuki, The day I will end your life!"
I take my dagger and hold it up in the air and go to stab him in his heart but is stopped by the sudden fear of killing him, a voice ringing out in my head.
(He's still your brother)
I tremble
(Why am I hesitating...)
Kazuki looks up at me and smirks.
"For someone who talks so big, you haven't even the guts to kill me! Too late!"
I try to block his attack but with my sudden hesitation earlier I failed and he hits me directly in the back of the neck causing me to lose consciousness.
(I failed...again...)
(Kazuki pov)
I throw her off of me and take a breath of relief.
(Damn that was too close, she caught me completely off guard that brat. If she wouldn't have hesitated I probably would have been done for...)
I stand up but cough up some blood, I spit it out and then pick her up in one arm and make my way to the border.
(I was going to let her choose herself but at this rate, she's becoming more dangerous I need to bring her in now. Or else If there's a next time I know she won't hesitate to kill.)
I speed up.
(Kirito pov)
I wake up sleepily and yawn as I stretch my body, after getting dressed I open the door and see something on the ground, I bend down to pick it up and notice it was Yuki's.
(She's probably freaking out looking for this thing everywhere right about now, better bring it to her.)
I knock on her door but get no response, I knock again but still nothing so I slowly open the door.
"Yuki are you in here?"
I look around but do not see her around so I close the door behind me and start to look around the dorm still unable to locate her.
(That's weird. She's almost always around here.)
I go back to her room to find a note on the desk addressed to me.
"If you are reading this then you already know I am gone, I can not tell you where I am going but I am hopeful I can find a new purpose in life for myself instead of living a life full of revenge and pain. I hope that you can forgive me Kirito but I must leave and never come back, please do not come look for and have a good life. Sincerely Yuki."
(This doesn't feel right...)
my heartaches.
(But what if this is real, She has been distant here recently and she's changed since I have met her. She's more fragile here recently...But still, I need to take this to the headmaster.)
I quickly stick the note in my pocket and make my way there.
(Kana pov)
I quietly crawl out from under the bed and escape the room as soon as he leaves.
(That was too close, it looks like he took the bait I need to let Kazuki know as soon as possible, by the way, Kirito looked just now it seems he was heartbroken, It looks like Kazuki was right about them being in a relationship.)
I sigh in jealousy as I walk back to my room (Luckily I still have Kazuki.)
(Kirito pov)
I hand the letter over and Headmaster sighs after reading it and setting it back down.
"I see why your worried, It doesn't sound like her at all and another issue is Kazuki called a couple of hours ago saying he needed to take care of some business and that he won't be back for a couple of days."
I clench my fists.
"Ok, so what do we do now? we have to find her!"
Headmaster shakes his head.
"If I am correct then they probably took her to the Lord vamp. We can't go in at a time such as this when we are at a standstill war. I heard they even have troops stationed at the border because there have been sightings in the outskirts of vamps closing in. The government has declared a country lockdown due to that, even if we wanted to we wouldn't be able to leave until the lockdown lifts which could take days, weeks, months, or even years."
I slam my hand on his desk.
"We don't even have a day, If she reaches the Vamps territory shell be killed!"
Headmaster shakes his head.
"If they wanted her dead they would have killed her when they had the chance they need her alive for some reason...Listen Kirito. I heard that the swans go west this time of the year to find cooler weather, they like to settle under cherry blossom trees with clear ponds that hold lots of fish. But I hear that going to see them is dangerous when alone."
he smirks and I smirk back understanding his riddle.
"Headmaster id like to take a leave of absence with Suzaku, Shun, and Kadachi to go see the swans, I hear they are very pretty as well."
Headmaster nods.
"Leave of absence is granted...Be careful Kirito."
with that said I take my leave to go find Suzaku and the others.
(Yuki wait for me.)
(A couple of hours later Yuki pov)
I feel ice-cold water drench my body and wake up looking around to see nearly complete darkness, I try to move my hands but they are shackled to the ceiling while my feet are shackled to the floor. as my eyes adjust a little more to the darkness I can make out Kazuki's outline and then face as he moves closer.
" Good now that your awake I'd like to ask you some questions."
I spit in his face and he slaps me across the face.
"B**** how dare you spit on me! and don't even think about using magic, it'll be pointless since the chains you're in restrain your powers."
(What should I do, I need to think.)
"Kazuki what do you want!"
Kazuki smirks and pulls out a needle with some liquid inside of it.
"If you do not tell me everything I want to know I will use this and many other tactics to get the truth out of you."
I laugh at him.
"No matter, I will never give you what you want till the day I die, and do not try your cheap tricks on me, I don't care anymore."
(I hope he takes the last bluff...)
Kazuki sneers..
" Yuki, do you remember why Father quit the High mage association?"
( I'll never tell you.)
"When Father came home with you we were told to not say a word to you for the next few days. I want to know why."
I stare at him with a blank face without speaking.
Kazuki laughs and motions for guards to bring in some equipment, he picked up what looked like a whip with a button on its handle.
"Yuki do you know what this is? This is what I like to call the lightning whip, and since your soaking wet right now this will sting quite a bit when it hits you sending electrified volts all over you while slashing at you, since your giving me the silent treatment lets see how long you can keep it up!"
I close my eyes as soon as he rears back to hit me with it.
