(Kazuki pov)
when I awake in a groggy state I was in my bed with Kana beside me holding my hand, once she noticed my stare she looked at me with teary and worried eyes.
"Oh, Kazuki thank goodness your ok!"
I quickly pull my hand away from her grasp and give her a disgusted look.
"She's gone isn't she?"
Kana looked envious.
"Why do you care about Yuki at this time, your hurt and the Lord is back fuming with anger after hearing what happened!"
I sigh in frustration and run my hand through my hair.
(What to do now...Lord will be here the moment he hears I am awake. I will have to pull my trump card then...)
Kana growls and stands up from her chair.
"Kazuki! I need to go back to school before anyone realizes I am gone, Now that your awake and feeling better I'll let Lord know."
I quickly get angry at her tone and stop her by grabbing her arm as she tries to walk away.
"Shut up! I need the papers from our secret location."
her attitude quickly changes and she shivers.
"Are you seriously going to use this as your back up plan, Do you realize that if you do Yuki may find out sooner than her-"
I dart her a death glare.
"Stop talking and just get them for me, I know full well but this is my scapegoat and if I don't get the attention off of me I'll bring you down with me when the Lord comes, and then there goes your family!"
Kana takes her arm back and glares at me with hurt and anger on her face.
"Your lucky I'm tolerating you for my family's sake right now Kazuki, else I would have killed you the moment you just said those words!"
I smirk seeing the hatred flash in her eyes.
(Good she understands what's at stake then, I guess she's not as dumb as I thought.)
Kana then stomps out of the room with smoke practically steaming out from her head. She returns with a briefcase covered in dust about an hour later, she lays it on the foot of my bed and I quickly open it revealing its contents and smile with pride.
(Good everything is still here, Though this might be leaked to Yuki sometime soon, I already have a plan to deal with that issue when it arises.)
I pull out a photo and examine it, Kana peaks at it.
"Wow, I didn't know you could have a little brother that's even better looking than you are Kazuki."
she laughs and I push her face away.
"So where is he now?"
I put the photo back in its place.
"I'm not sure, I was lucky enough to even find out he was still alive, I was actually planning on killing him next time I saw him but using him as a trump card is more profitable for me right now."
(I found out Suki was alive a couple of months ago, I had no clue there was even a chance of it until someone gave me this photo, he looked older and a bit different like he was in disguise but I knew the instant I seen this that it was him.)
I silently smile and Kana sits back down in her chair next to me crossing her legs.
(Yuki pov)
After being forced to get a check-up at the nurse's office by Kirito and the headmaster as well as telling them the whole story of what had happened we were given some free time and told to go into town to have some fun, I decided to ask Naiomi to come along and she happily agreed so we set out while Kirito stayed behind to do some things he said he had to do.
"So Yuki what do you want to go do?! I'm so excited to be able to have girl time with you!"
we giggle as we walk along the streets that were filled with people. We decided to go shopping first and entered a nearby mall, luckily we both had quite a bit of money saved up to be able to enjoy ourselves today and bought some new clothes and other items. After shopping we went to grab some lunch at a cafe in the mall, sipping on our tea we were engulfed in our conversation.
"Yeah and then Kana fell flat on her face, I couldn't help but laugh at her, though she is my partner she is quite annoying at times and mean, sometimes I wish you were my partner, Yuki"
we giggle and I shake my head.
"I'm sure there is a nice side to Kana somewhere buried down underneath all of that jealousy of hers, maybe give it some time and she'll change into a better person."
Naiomi smiles warmly at me.
"Your so nice Yuki, Even though Kana has been nothing but mean to you, you still find a way to be nice to her I envy your maturity."
I scratch the back of my head and smile shyly at her compliment.
"I mean think about it this way Naiomi, we do not know Kana really, I'm sure she has her reasons for being the way she is, Who knows how hard her life is behind closed doors."
Naiomi nods.
"True, Hopefully with time such as you said she will grow up."
after finishing our tea we pay and leave with our arms locked.
(Naiomi is such a sweet girl, I am glad I have found a good friend here.)
thinking my thoughts I felt joy in our little trip and smiled all the way back home
(That evening)
Upon entering the dorms the twins were on the couch playing video games on the tv and in the kitchen, I could see Kadachi talking with Kana, Kirito walks by while talking on the phone going towards his bedroom and I decided to go to my room to put up the stuff I had gotten today. Just as I finished hanging up my clothes I hear my door open and then Kirito's voice.
"I'm coming in..."
the door closes behind him and I hear his light shuffles as he moves closer to me.
"How was your day today?"
he hugs me from behind placing his hands on my waist.
"It was really good I enjoyed every second of it with Naiomi."
I hear Kirito chuckle from behind.
"Sounds like you had fun but did you miss me?"
My heart skips a beat from his question and turns around to face him.
"I was only gone for a couple of hours Kirito were you that lonely?"
I say with a smirk and he rolls his eyes.
"So? I still missed you!"
my heart skipped a beat once more and my cheeks grew pink as he inches closer to my lips but then a knock on the door echoed in the room and his face darkened as I pull away, I shyly look at him knowing full well he was annoyed to be interrupted and I pull my door open to see Kana standing on the other end, The moment she seen who was standing afar behind me her gentle smile changed to a bit sour but she quickly fakes a polite smile again.
"Oh uh, Yuki could I talk to you alone for a moment?"
I nod and close the door behind me leaving Kirito in the room alone, She leads me to the living room which was now empty and she hands me an envelope but as I grab it she holds onto it and I look up to see her staring at me with determination.
"I need your help...And this is my way of asking for it, though I'm not very fond of you, your the only one I can come to about this...And you can't let a single soul know about any of this or else you and I both will become targets."
I give her a 'are you kidding me look before retorting back to her.
"And what makes you think what lies in this envelope is going to make me help you?"
She smirks sadistically.
"Because I know you better than you think. Once you open this you'll understand, but first, let me tell you what I need help with."
she takes a deep shaky breath and lets it out slowly before spilling the beans.
"Now I want to come clean so do not start freaking out on me when I do, please let me explain first."
her face looked serious and I could tell she was scared so I just nodded in agreement.
"I...I work for your brother...and at first, we had a relationship. He approached me a few weeks before school started..."
a long pause before she speaks again
"I was out in town meeting with him, I didn't know who he exactly was back then or what type of person he was either we had just started to see each other I kind of liked him...He asked me to meet him for lunch and when I got there he looked different...it was like he had an evil aura to him. The date went well in the beginning but then he casually brought up that my Father, Mother, Elder brother, and younger sister and brother were out of town on business. It had startled me because no one knew that besides close family and friends, I had stayed behind. After all, I had school starting in a few weeks. I asked how he knew casually trying to make it sound like it wasn't a big deal and that's when he told me...He had imprisoned them in a faraway country and that he was going to kill them all if I didn't help him in his plans, He went on to tell me what he was doing and who he worked for. I didn't even have a chance to say no nor did I want to since he had my family. So you see...I am sorry for how I treated you and for all that I have done to you, I'm risking my family's lives by telling you this, I want out now and I found out their location. What is in the envelope is something to show you how sorry I am, plus the location...I can not go along or else Kazuki will get suspicious. If you can save them then I can be free at last and I can help you take your revenge!"
tears stream down her face and she gets on her hands and knees and bows her head.
"Please Yuki forgive me and help me save my family!"
still shocked by everything she had said but saddened for why she did all she did I pull her into a hug.
"You did what you had to do I do not hate you and I do forgive you. If I was in your position I probably would have done the same thing...Kana, I'm sorry you're going through this but I want you to know...I'm here for you and I will help you."
her sobs grew louder as she let out all of her grief and worries onto my shoulder.
"Thank you...Thank you so much Yuki your so kind..."
