"Run son!" A masculine voice yelled at him. He started running and turned to look back, only to see his father impaled by a sword. He started crying, but still kept running, knowing that his parents would want him to live and not worry about them.
He was almost out of the village when he saw her. Some kind of angelic looking woman. He had no idea who or what she was, but he swore he would find out, so he could avenge his village. The woman turned around and threw what looked to be a spear made of light, it was about to reach his chest when...

"Ahhhhhh!" Kane screamed, waking up in a cold sweat. He hasn't had that nightmare in years, he wondered why he had it now.
Luka came running in and started to hug him. "Sir, are you all right?" He asked me. I hugged him back and told him it wasn't a big deal and that I should go make us some food.
He agreed and let me go. I got up and went to make some food for the both of us. After the both of us ate, I brought Luka out to the training ground I had outside.
"Sir, what will you be teaching me first?" Luka, the ever curious boy, asked Kane.
"I will be having you do body training during the day, and once you can complete the regiment I give you I will start to train you in combat and if you have the talent for it, possibly magic". Kane told him.
Luka's eyes widened at the mention of magic, like I knew they would. He started bouncing excitedly. I
"100 push-ups
50 squats
50 crunches
100 pull-ups
And a 2 kilometer run". I told the boy. Luka literally paused in the middle of a bounce and looked horrified at the training. I told him to start and a would do the training with him. He could barely even do ten of each training, and couldn't even get past 200 meters of his run, which is still impressive for a boy his age.
"Don't worry Luka, your body will adapt to the training and it will become easier as you keep doing it. We will do this everyday until you can complete the training". Kane told him.
The boy just gave him a thumbs up, and he walked away to practice some magic. He decided he would start with his wind magic.
He first tried to surround his body with air and try to move it constantly around him. He had minimal success at this method so he kept going.

"Sir! Sir!" The boy was shaking him. He opened an eye and looked at him. "Yes? What is it Luka?" He asked.
"Will you please make me something to eat?" He asked the man. The man chuckled, "That is also part of your training Luka, you must make your own food. If you still fail, though, I will make you something small that will barely last you through the day". The man answered.
Luka looked determined to learn. So about half an hour later is when he could hear a scream of disgust so he went inside and made the boy some food. They went back outside and trained together and the boy was able to improve a little bit, but still didn't complete the training.
So Kane continued his wind skin training. He noticed it was somewhat easier than yesterday so he thought he was making some progress. He stopped after an hour and started to make a plan for the next year. He would spend a month each trading his magic, and then he would spend the rest working with his weapons and working out, ten times as much as Luka.
He chuckled, Luka had no idea what he would be put through...
