As soon as Ming left the room, he went downstairs. And called his best friend. You could even refer to him as Ming's only friend.
"Zeda, Where are you?" Ming asked over the phone.
"Well, hello to you too. How do you do?" his response dripped with sarcasm and Ming just wasn't ready for his games.
"Zeda, look, I just brought Sun home and I need you here"
"Wait, Sun woke up?" Zeda asked shocked and he switched from shocked to slightly annoyed when he heard Ming's response.
"No.. I brought her corpse" Ming said rolling his eyes. "Of course she woke up. But there's a problem"
"What problem?"
"Just get over here and fast."
"I'm about to drive in, I had to get the files you didn't sign, from your office"
"Ok" Ming said and hung up.
True to his words, Zeda drove in and joined Ming in the sitting room.
"Just put the files down over there" Ming said and pointed to the table in the sitting room.
"Sun's memories are gone" Ming said and collapsed into the chair.
"Wait, all of them?" Zeda asked and sat beside Ming. "Yes all of them. She's acting like a child, not to mention a little crazy. Today she was talking to a girl that only she could see and she thought the water in the swimming pool was shiny" Ming said frustrated.
"Pfft.." Zeda struggling not to burst with laughter. Ming looked at him in disbelief causing him to comport himself. "That sounds like a lot of trouble" Zeda said. "It is" Ming admitted.
"Well, it's a lot of 'your' trouble. I have to go" Zeda said. Ming stared coldly at Zeda and was about to say something when he was interrupted by a scream.
He ran up to his room and saw the door to the bathroom closed. He was about to open the door when he hesitated. He turned around and saw Zeda looking at him puzzled.
"What's going on?" Zeda asked
"I don't know" Ming answered obviously concerned. "Well, find out" Zeda said face palming himself in his head. "I can't" Ming answered flatly before retreating from the door. "What? Why can't you? Just go in and find out" Zeda said shoving Ming closer to the door.
"What if.." Ming said then stopped midway. "What if what?" Zeda asked getting annoyed.
"What if she's naked?" Ming asked finally and Zeda rolled his eyes. "Hey genius, what if she slipped and is unconscious and loosing a lot of blood" Zeda asked imitating Ming's tone. The thought that Zeda could have been right about her condition scared Ming into opening the door.
He saw Sun folded into a foetal position on the floor, her hands covered her ears and her eyes were shut really tightly. Her red hair covered her face partly and the rest were scattered on the floor.
Ming moved swiftly to her side, unsure of what to do. He lifted his hand and placed it gently on her head while kneeling beside her and he gently stroked her head muttering the words, "everything is fine, you just need to calm down" over and over as he stroked her head. She slowly began to relax and was soon able to sit up. She sat up next to a kneeling Ming and then she placed her head on his chest, ever so lightly. He patted her head before embracing her slightly.
"Do you want to say what happened?" he asked and was somewhat disheartened when she shook her head in refusal, while still resting on his chest. They stayed in that position for quite a while and Ming's knee started to hurt, but he didn't want to leave her. So he tried to change his position and sit instead. Sun's hand reached out and grabbed his arm tight. She was shaking in fear, maybe she was scared that he'd leave her. So he stroked her head and told her that he wasn't going anywhere till she was ok. But she only answered by saying, "she's me!" and her eyes widened in fear. "Who's you?" she heard Ming's calm voice and sat up so she could look him in his eyes. Ming's eyes asked a lot of questions, but she could see the care in his eyes.
"The little girl from the hospital, she's me" Sun uttered and seemed to tremble a bit more with each word she said. Ming averted his gaze to Zeda who seemed more perplexed than he was. Ming didn't understand what he was supposed to do now. Had she gone crazy? Should he take her back to the hospital? What if she was hallucinating? What exactly was getting her so scared? As he felt her tremble, he couldn't tell if it was because she was scared or cold. She was still in her wet clothes from earlier and she was going to be sick by the morning if this went on. Ming then picked her from the bathroom floor and carried her in his arms to the bed. He placed her on the bed and wrapped her with the blanket. "Sun, will you tell me what happened to you?" Ming asked sitting across from her. Sun looked up at Ming and then she turned to look at the other person in the room. She didn't know who he was and though he looked scared his eyes were glowing with curiosity. He had messy black hair and kind eyes. Ming saw her staring at Zeda and thought she wasn't comfortable with him here. So turning to Zeda he said "Zeda, would you wait outside?" Zeda wasn't pleased, because almost as badly as Ming, he wanted to know what was going on, but the atmosphere wasn't one to be stubborn. He turned to leave when he heard Sun's voice. "No, he can stay." Zeda spun around with so much enthusiasm he had to struggle to comport himself, he smiled sweetly at Sun and she immediately felt at ease.
