"So tell me why you were scared" Ming asked looking very serious. Sun didn't look scared at all and this puzzled him. Just a minute ago, she was curled up on the floor and now she looked like she was about to tell a love story. What exactly is wrong with her?
"Ming... Ming.." Ming was shaken out of his thoughts by Sun. "Are you even listening to me?" she asked. "Y..Yes, I'm lis.." he was interrupted when Zeda spoke, "forget about Ming, I'm listening." Ming rolled his eyes and looked at Sun, but Sun, but she turned away from him to look at Zeda who was anxiously waiting for her to continue what she was saying. This stung Ming's heart a bit, but he shrugged it off. What was important was that he knew what happened to Sun. So he tried to focus on what Sun was saying, but he couldn't help but think that Zeda and Sun looked like two mischievous kid planning something.
"So I looked in the mirror, and I saw that girls face, the little girl. It was like I was her older sister or her mother!!!" she gasped and her countenance immediately changed and she became serious. She faced Ming squarely and this made him a little scared. He adjusted and answered her silent question, "No, you don't have a sister and no, you were never a mother" he hesitated before continuing. "There was no girl at the hospital, the girl you thought you saw, she wasn't there" The last bit of information shocked Sun and her eyes widened, she looked scared, sad and surprised. Her mind was running wild. "T..That means... That means, she really is me" Sun stuttered looking like she just saw a ghost. "Well, she did see a ghost, sort of" Zeda couldn't help but think to himself on seeing her expression. Then he turned to Ming, he seemed to be calculating what next to say. Looking at two of them lost in their own thoughts caused Zeda's imagination to run wild. The suspense was cutting through him and he silently prayed for something to happen. He was anxiously waiting to see what Ming would do now. Even Ming didn't know what to do. Then Zeda's prayers were answered when Ming placed his hand on Sun's wrist and made her stand on the floor as he also stood up. He looked into her eyes, and without warning, he pulled her into his embrace. It made Sun feel weird but she didn't have the strength to fight him. Then just like he did in the hospital, he stroked her hair and it calmed her. Ming wasn't sure of what happened between her and the child she saw, but he did know that they had spoken and she comforted the child. Which means the child must have told her something from her past, before she even met Ming. He didn't want her to remember, because he also wanted to forget. "Please, don't try to remember. You'll only find pain" he whispered. Sun looked up at him, he released his grip and looked at her. She burrowed her head into his chest and hugged him, as though telling him she won't try to remember anything. Meanwhile Zeda just sat with his jaw dropped. So this idiot is quite sensitive and sensible, I thought he'd just sit there and stare at her. Does he love her? And just who is she? The first time Zeda heard of her was when he ran into Ming at the hospital. He didn't know what relationship they shared, forget their relationship, what did he really know about Ming. It was almost as though he didn't even have any family members, at least that's what he thought till he heard of Sun.
"I'd let you change now" Ming said letting her go, she had been trembling lightly in his arms. She nodded and Ming turned to leave, Zeda rose and followed only turning back to smile and wave at Sun.
Zeda waited for them to get out of Sun's earshot before putting his arm around Ming's shoulder. Ming was taller than him, so he was forced to walk on his toes. "So, she's your weakness?" Zeda asked and Ming continued walking unbothered by the nosy nuisance that clung to him. "Come on Ming. Just a few minutes ago, you were being all mushy and sweet, and now you're like a boulder" Zeda whined as he let go of Ming. "I wasn't being mushy... She's my responsibility" Ming declared and bent over tto pick up the file on the table. "Is that really all she is? Just a responsibility?" Ming only focused on his file, "Well she's pretty cute and her gaze is so peaceful. She also has a pretty fragi..." Zeda muted when he met Ming's bloodthirsty gaze. "Easy, I mean her no harm" with this Ming looked away. "Are you already jealous, Ming? Isn't she just 'my responsibility'?" Zeda mimicked and Ming glared at him. "Don't you have anything else to do? You wanted to leave a little while ago, so leave."
"Ah, Ming. I'm no longer in a rush, I mean what could be more important than Su... I mean my best friend" this made Ming raise a brow. "You know what? I actually have something to do, so bye" Zeda almost ran away. And Ming shook his head.
