Chapter 57 - Chapter 56 Bitter

Opening her eyes, Kira found Kishi sitting beside her reading a book. She sat up and looked around the room, she still doesn't feel really good, but she at least felt better than before.

"Good morning" Kishi lovingly greeted her

"Is it still morning though?" Kira asked bitterly

"Uh...no, it's already noon"

For some reason, Kira don't feel really nice at all. She even finds it difficult to be glad that Kishi stayed by her all the time that she was unconscious. Maybe it's because of her dream? Unfortunately, no matter how much she tried to, she always failed to remember what was it.

Seeing her expression, Kishi smiled and sighed inwardly.

"Oh, your finally awake"

Sychi entered the room and made her way toward them. She placed her little hand on Kira's forehead and sighed.

"You still have a slight fever" She said "You little darling, I told you not to push you self so much and you didn't listen. You should have known better that your body can't handle too much stress more than anyone"

"I know, but this always happen" Kira pouted

Kishi chuckled, "It's hard to believe that you still get sick every end of the year"

"It's not like I can help it!" Kira retorted

"Well whatever" Sychi sighed. She magically made a golden goblet of medicine appear on top of the bedside table and held it up to her "Here, drink this"

Kira just shook her head and refused. Taken aback by her stubbornness, Sychi tried to convince her.

"Come on Kira, after you drink this, you'll feel lot better" she said.

Kira remained silent still and refused. Sychi frowned in her stubbornness. She doesn't get her sudden stubbornness but she is still far from giving up.

"Child, since when are you this stubborn? You should listen and just drink your medicine. It's not like it would kill you"

"No! I don't want it"

"Why?"

"I just don't want it"

"Kira..."

Kira sighed in resignation and began to explain herself. "It tasted bitter; I don't like it"

"It always tasted bitter. Why are you only complaining about it now? Kira, child, you were never this stubborn before, just go ahead and drink this and you'll feel lot better"

Sychi cannot understand why she suddenly had a great change of attitude. Back when they were younger, Kira would always listen to whatever she says without any complain. She was that kind of a perfect smart, adorable and obedient child. Yet the way she's acting right now is way out of character.

"I don't want it" She simply replied "It tasted worse than before; I don't like it"

Sychi was surprised when she heard that. She stared at the dark green mixture in the goblet she's holding and thought to herself.

Was it really that bad?

The only thing she knew was that the effects were lot stronger than they used to take. She never really thought that the taste also got a lot worse for even Kira to refuse it. She felt somewhat saddened that the child has to take it no matter what.

Noticing Sychi's sudden change in expression, Kishi sighed and reached out to take the goblet from her. Surprised, Sychi asked him.

"What are you doing?"

"I'll do it" he answered

Kira pouted that even Kishi would not take her side and force her to drink it even though she clearly doesn't want it.

"Hmph! That's not gonna work!"

"We'll see..."

After saying that, Kishi drank the contents of the goblet and surprised both of them. After drinking it, he gave her a kiss and forced her to drink the bitter remedy.

As Kishi made her drink that way, the horrible taste of the medicine made her wince. It doesn't taste good at all that she felt like vomiting. But with her brother, she found it bearable enough, yet she still doesn't like it.

"I hate you"

Wiping her mouth, Kira stared at him angrily yet he merely shrugged. Kishi can't help but chuckle in the look on her face which annoyed her more.

"What's so funny!"

"Nothing"

"You're annoying you know, I hate it" Kira sulked

"What if? I know you still love me"

"..."

Lost for words, Kira just pouted and turned her head away from him. Her brother is really confident about himself that he seemed arrogant. What if she really did hate him? What would he do?

Nevertheless, that would be less likely to happen. They just can't help but be together. They were born that way, and will grow up that way. Nothing can change that. If it was forced to changed, then for sure, nothing good will come of it.

Another fairy had entered and bowed at them before politely saying, "Princess, the healer seeks audience with you"

The twins exchanged looks before Kira went off the bed and left the room. Kishi stared at her as she left and let out a sigh.

"Sychi, why is the medicine taste worse than before?"

Sychi was surprised when he asked her that. Has she not told him yet? Realizing that Kira kept it a secret from him, she only sighed and shook her head.

"Kira is growing weaker" She simply answered.

"I see..."

Bothered by his unsurprised reaction, Sychi questioned him "Not surprised? I thought Kira didn't told you anything?"

Kishi replied with a shrug, reaching out to continue the book his reading. "It's not like she didn't, and neither did she. It's just obvious, though it seemed like it's worse than I thought. Other than that, nothings that surprising. A lot has happened and we can't change that. That's all"

Meanwhile, Kira just reached the room where the healer is. The room wasn't that all fancy. Shelves of different herbs and other weird stuff surrounded the walls. The windows were wide open, each were placed with a pot of beautiful bonsai. At the center of the room were a simple yet still elegant bed and a small round table beside it.

The healer was in the middle of brewing something when she came in. The healer bowed politely and Kira slightly curtsied in return.

"Princess if you don't mind, I would like to give you some simple checkups"

"Oh, okay"

Kira obediently moved forward and sat at bed and the healer handed a golden goblet to her. She looked at it first and looked at the healer. He was a fairy of the same kind as Kail. He wore long robes and he has a handsome sleek face that complemented his mint eyes and curly olive hair.

He smiled and reassured her "don't worry dear, it's sweet"

Although doubtful, Kira still drank it, and just like what the healer said, it was sweet. Delighted, she handed the goblet back and lay in the bed.

The fresh scent of the room smelled beautiful. The warm atmosphere of the room felt cozy and her vision drifted away as she closed her eyes to sleep.

The healer sighed before he brushed off her bangs on her forehead and placing his hand on her soft gentle skin.
