Chapter 63 - Chapter 62 What matters, and does not matter

"Surprised?" Akamura entered the room. A mocking smile was visible in his face. "Must've been a shock to you, was it? I never knew you were like this at school, to be punished like this?"

"Akamura" His father eyed him

"Oh father, I'm just speaking the truth. There's no harm in that"

Red was obviously pissed about it, yet he remained silent as his hands tightened to a fist that his palm had bled from his extensive force yet, he didn't flinch nor showed any weakness. He was unable to say or do anything in the presence of their father, despite the fact that his father would always take his side if he did. Red dared not abuse his father's affection for him, for it will never resolve anything.

"If you're really that mad, then go ahead and kick his ass instead of moping about it. He's officially a student in this school after all. Airi whispered to him before turning to Akamura's direction

"Since you're here, does that mean you'll be a part of E-class? How unfortunate of you, 'cause you'll also get punished even if you did no wrong because of the old hag in the future. Ask Red if you don't believe me, but what I'm saying is also nothing but truth." Airi said to him in disdainful way, while maintaining a polite smile on his face.

Amy on the other hand was angry with his contempt toward her, but was also impressed that he's indirectly shielding Red, even if his not really that close to him or rest of the E-class. It seems so that E-class is growing good except the fact that they like to cause so much trouble.

"You sound as if you're so proud of yourself but in the end, your noting but a bunch of brats"

"Oh really? You wanna try out? 'Cause if you do, I can give you a shot" Said Rex

Akamura smirked before he replied, confident that he'll mop the floor with their faces "Fine by me"

"It's only his first day and you're already challenging him. Why not let it rest for now?" Amy sighed. She pointed towards the pile of papers that they were previously doing. "After all, you still have a lot in your hands at the moment."

The children's challenging mood was severed in an instant. While sulking, they slowly went back to finishing their punishment, hoping it will end after they finished.

The king on the other hand was impressed. Just by looking at them, he can already tell that they are all capable. They have good intellect and speed; they also have great confidence and strength to back things up. It was obvious that they are all elites regardless of their age.

"Your Highness, shall we?"

"Oh, right"

The two of them left. Akamura, took his time to sneer at them before he decided to follow the dean and his father. The E-class students wasn't bothered by this at all.

"He's so arrogant, I can't wait to see his face on the floor." Rex said with a smirk

"Yeah, he thinks he's so high and mighty, yet he obviously has no strength to back it up. The other students will be sure to drag him down to rock bottom if he doesn't know his place" Mythica agreed

"Other students?" Kira asked

"Oh, right, you still don't know about that" Bubblegum sighed

"Here in Magic high, family name and rank aren't everything. It helps, but not that much. Here, all that matters are talent, hard work, and result. If you don't even have that much, then no matter which family you're from, or which class you in, the other students will be sure to drag you down." Airi explained

Noting her still confused look, Asa explained things further "You see Kira, being at E-class, you'll be guaranteed to ranked thirty and above once you first set foot here. But if you slack too much, the students from other class's will be pulling you down until you hit the bottom, and then they will crush you like trash. It doesn't matter which class you will be in, if you can't even provide good results then it'll all be meaningless."

"You probably didn't notice since you're really good at a lot of things and you manage to quickly ascend the ranks with not much effort. In fact, I bet it's only a matter of time before you join rank one." Miha sighed "But things are different to others who's not as talented as you are. They need to work really hard to gain knowledge and strength for them to survive; one wrong move it's over for them. That's what our kingdom is like."

"So, what will happen to him then?"

Kishi answered her "Who knows. If he's a fast learner then he'll start working really hard. If he's far too arrogant to notice, the good luck for him 'cause he will sure need it"

They were almost finish before they even realized it. Amy was still giving King Harkin and Akamura a tour around the school and they were looking at the large board located at the school's main building.

Names and pictures of all students were seen there, as well as their current ranks. It looked like it was made of magic as the students automatically move down or up in the ranks.

Akamura looked at it, and noticed that the ranks of thirty and above remained stagnant while the rest of the students were moving up or down.

"It's amazing isn't it?" said Amy "Those brats do nothing but 'cause trouble, yet look at it, they managed to maintain their ranks anyway. What's more, they weren't really that excellent, and most of them were only good in things they specialize and usually fails in other things. But even so, they reached the top using only their strengths and even maintained it. Ever since the first term had started, those ranks remained the same."

"Red is rank one?" King Harkin asked

Amy nodded "Oh, yes. Red and Kishi is currently fighting for the top spot. That's also the reason why there aren't any king in our kingdom, since there are two rulers and we only need one. Kira will be rank one sooner or later as well. Those kids are really troublesome." She sighed

"Kishi and Kira? Aren't the two of them the Enchanted twins?" Akamura asked in surprised to recognize their names

"Yes, the two of them are. Kin the young Sacred Royal of the Elemental palace is also here. That also goes for the lower ranked sacred royals such as the Celestial kingdom and all five of the kingdoms of Element. If I'm correct half of the E-class is of the sacred realm"

King Harkin chortled "Excellent! Truly excellent! To think my dear Red is able to be on par with the other children of sacred realm, and to be on rank one as well, I' am utterly proud"

"Hrmph! I bet it's because they are nothing but a bunch of pipsqueaks." Akamura muttered under his breath, not letting his father hear anything.

"I truly never expected it" The king shook his head

"None of us did. You see Your Excellency; he is quite an aloof child and even refuses to join his fellow classmates. Neither did we expect two of the most aloof children to claim the first rank. Fortunately, Kishi's growing better with socializing with his fellow classmates. Alas, Red remained the same. We are still waiting to find a way for him to open up to everyone, since it was necessary for them. E-class is filled with special children with extraordinary talents and characteristics after all."

"I wish I could help you with that. But as a father, I always failed to understand him at that part. Maybe it's because of mother's death, or perhaps his anxiety in being around so many pure sacred royals affected him as a half blood."

"Whether his half blood or not does not matter here at all" Amy beamed at him

Akamura frowned "What do you mean? Of course, blood line is everything"

"Please take no offense. Being the first child and a pure blood, it was hard for him to understand."

"Fear not, 'cause I understand. But Red is not the only half-blooded sacred royal. Both Airi from the Celestial kingdom, and Kin from the Elemental palace are half-bloods. Both of them are really friendly and was very close with their classmates and their bloodline never affected them at all. The two of them are performing really well than expected, and have achieve high ranks as well."

"Is it so?" Amy nodded. King Harkin sighed, "I really do hope Red will open up to others. I do not wish him to grow lonely this way"

Amy smiled "I bet someone will open his heart someday."
