The five of them are walking in halls. Airi and Rex was bickering, grabbing each other's collar as they walk, ready to punch each other in the face. While Kira was still deep in thought about what happened, walking silently behind them. Kishi sighed, and was determined to talk things out with her, but when he turned around, she was no longer there.
"Kira....."
"She was finally kidnapped, huh?" Airi said, done with all his fighting with Rex.
Mythica was holding Kira tightly, peeking over her shoulders, making sure she wasn't followed. When she was absolutely certain, she let go of Kira, who was red and breathing for air.
"Mythi--"
"Sister!" she demanded "Call me sister!"
"Er--okay...Sister"
Mythica immediately turned pink. She was very delighted that Kira answered her call.
"I'll show you around the school--if-if its fine with you"
Kira smiled then gave her a little nod. Mythica was very excited and smiled back broadly at her. Together, they walked around the whole school. They went to the garden, the outside and indoor stadium, the unicorn and pegasus stables, the dragon's den, the theater, the pool, the green house, the other class rooms, each of the teachers office, the baths, the dressing rooms, the ballroom, the forest, the libraries, and many more.
"Sister"
"Yes?"
"I just wondered, why do you think is there no equality in the world?"
Mythica's smile turned into a frown "It's simple, 'cause it's not fair. You see Kira, those of us at the top would never be understood. People at the bottom often complain about how we are sitting pretty in our thrones over a pile of gold, not worrying about anything, abusing our powers, while they suffer, and tries hard to live their daily lives. For all they know, they're not the only ones struggling in life. Every day, we watch out backs, building the most impassable shield for their betrayal, not being able to trust anyone, for they are built with envy and greed, always looking for a way to bring us down. They think not twice to slaughter us if they have chance. And us filled with power, not knowing when we would finally meet our demise, bearing every pain of our own magic tearing us down. We are frail, in a way that they don't see, or rather we do not complain, and yet, they still accused us with doing malicious things. But I admit, we are not all very pure, but do they even considered it a possibility that our own pain is overflowing and causes them pain as well? Apparently not. All they care is about themselves, while we have to worry about our people in order to gain success. They always say we are wrong, but the truth is, they just haven't seen what it was like on our side"
"Do you think that's a good excuse?"
"That's not what I'm trying to say Kira...."
"I know, you haven't answered my question yet"
Mythica smiled again in admiration "I'll say....your wrong, the world is wrong. It looked like there's no equality, but in truth there is. It may not look much, but each existence equally has their own struggles, and are trying to live their lives in spite of it. I dare say that the only thing that really matters is how they accept it, and live their lives. That's what I believe..."
"The schools the same huh?"
"Yeah...to us children, this is our own kingdom, a stepping stone and a replica of the real world. I could never be happier, more than anything. Oh! Er--Kira, I'm really, really sorry! But I gotta go, bye!"
And just like that, she disappeared in the air. Kira just went to cafeteria for dinner, and met up with the others. When Kira caught a glimpse of her dear brother, she immediately ran towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You act like the two of you have been separated for years....." Airi sighed sarcastically, his hand on his forehead, putting a spoon full of steak dressed with pumpkin in his mouth, grinning at them
"A whole day's long enough" Kira shot back at him
"Yes, maybe, but sadly it's not a whole day. So, where's Myth?"
"Ran off to, don' know where"
"Your starting to talk a lot these days" Said Kishi
"Hrmp! Meanie!"
After dinner, most of the students went back to the castle. Kishi and Kira went back to their respective rooms, ignoring most of the class whom is at the lounging area. Like yesterday, Kishi accompanied her back to her room, then just simply smiled warmly at her without a word.
Kishi went straight to his room, and went for a soak. He was leaning on the tub, his head rested on his arms, staring at the door, as if his expecting someone to open the door any second. But after sometime, he felt hopeless and sighed. He went out of the water then got dressed. Just like Kira, the clothes he wears are mostly white. He looked out in the window, staring in the bright moon. He climbed in his canopy bed and laid comfy, staring at the bed's canopy.
He was in deep daze, unable to think of anything. Then, he heard a click, telling him that the door had opened. He looked at the door and saw his sister, standing there with the same expression as she did last night. But unlike last night, Kishi spoke her before she could even lay down.
"You've been talking a lot lately"
"Is there a problem?" She asked slightly irritated
"Not really, I guess it's better than worse"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing"
There was silence. Kira snuggled comfortably beside him, but rolled to her side, turning her back at him. Kishi started to became suspicious. He became certain that Kira was hiding something from him.
He's need's do it, and he need to do it now. All he has to do is talk to her. And if he did it right, everything would be just fine.
In the end, he convinced himself and sighed. "It's weird"
"What's weird"
"The way you're doing things"
"I don't understand"
"Kira, listen. You still slept with me, but you didn't bathe with me anymore, yesterday's excusable but not today"
"Why? Have you gotten used to it? Pervert"
"Don't call me that! Anyway, what I meant is...your hiding something. I respect the fact that you have secrets and everything but, don't hide something that I need to know. I don't want to hear it from anyone else, I want to hear it coming from you, understand?"
Kishi closed his eyes to sleep. Tears started falling out of Kira's eyes, sobbing silently. She turned around and held her brothers' hand, then moved her head closer to him until she felt her forehead touch his, then closed her eyes. Kira didn't seem to notice that Kishi was wide awake, as he smiled at her.
Meanwhile, most of the class is at the lounging area. Airi stared at the place where the twins disappeared to and said,
"They sleep early huh?"
"Correction, we sleep late" A girl on black dress with black hair and crimson eyes at the age of thirteen named Akame said, slightly emphasizing we
"I guess..."
"Kira was very nice though" Mythica said delightfully
"Yeah, whatever" Said a boy with white hair and eyes, who's leaning on another boy with pitch black hair and eyes, both at the age of ten.
"But I meant it Yin! She really is nice!" Mythica said to him her voice seemed exasperated
"Well, what do you expect really? Kira a very edgy, shameless mean girl? That's stupid" said Rex
"Er-yes"
"That's stupid, idiot"
"Your mean! What do you think I'll expect?! I mean, with Kishi so cold and everything--"
"Kishi's nice" Airi broke through her words
"Here you go again Airi! Will you stop believing those kinds of things!" Bellowed Bubblegum
"I know what I'm doing Sugar! And I'm sure of it. You'll see...He's just a spoiled kid who's having a tantrum--I said I mean it! He's lot more different lately to, tell them Rex!"
"Okay, okay, now stop fighting! Geez guys, your fighting in something that's not worth even fighting about"
"Coming from you? How funny" Asa said
"What?!"
They all started laughing. The stormy cold night outside does not bother them. The warm room which they stayed upon was cozier when they all have fun. Their dreadful past seemed nothing to them now. In fact, no one could have possibly guess...
