The sounds of her footsteps felt more louder than usual. Her heart is beating loudly; she hesitated. Kira took a deep breath then turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. She looked around and saw Kishi sitting upright, looking at the window from his bed.
As she closed the door, Kishi beamed at her. Kira stood still and avoided his gaze. Even so, he opened his arms wide. Ashamed of herself, yet she dashed to him and cried in his arms.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I-I'm really so-sorry" she stuttered, pearly tears falling greatly from her eyes
Kishi patted her head softly still smiling when he said "I'm sorry"
Kira just wept and Kishi did not say anything to stop her. After some while, Kira calmed down a little and was just sniffling.
"I'm sorry" he said again "It was I; I've been a very terrible brother to you, I'm really sorry"
"But it wasn't yours, it was mine"
"Don't be fooled, you did no wrong"
"But I raised my voice to you, I said mean things, horrible things"
"But you never intended to--"
"Neither do you!" she added quickly "You didn't mean to neglect me, all you did was for my sake, yet, yet, I was such--I failed to understand. I didn't consider your feelings; I was so selfish to even care. And then I said I hate you, that was wrong of me--"
"I don't care. I was being too over protective, in the end, I just ended up binding you in my chains..."
"But you still loved me"
"'course I do"
"Then I don't care either. As long as we would be together forever, I don't mind being chained by you"
Kira wrapped her arms around his neck. There was complete silence across the room. The slight pinkish-orange light as the sun sets, and the elegant aura of the room compliments each other greatly. The white room was filled with both that made it very soothing in the eyes to see. The two adorable children with complete light from head to toe, looked like angels that made it all look like a heavenly painting; a true work of art.
After quite some while, the two of them decided to leave the room for dinner. They both dressed elegantly with their usual white. They opened the door of the dining hall and was surprised to see Airi sitting in one of the seats.
"What took you so long?" He asked
"What are you doing here?" Kishi questioned him back
"No reason actually" Airi answered
"How did you get here?" Kishi eyed him suspiciously
They sat by the table, with Kishi in between Airi and Kira, not taking away his gaze from him.
He just simply can't believe him. It was just unbelievable for Airi to came there himself. The whole place was just too big for even him to memorize the way in and out by just that one time when they had a sleep over. And another thing, why there at all places? And what is the reason for him to leave the school in only Monday? Kishi just stared at him craving for answers
"What do you mean how did I get here? Isn't it obvious? I came her by foot"
"Well, I get that. But how did get her, like how?"
"Er.....I followed my instincts..." He answered, half expecting the twins to throw a weirded out look at him.
"You what?" Kishi said in confusion
"I followed my instincts" Airi repeated "I just went through the massive gate saying that command or whatever and just followed the path, then into the palace. But I admit, finding my way inside is much easier since I went in and out here a couple of times"
"Airi must have earned authority by blood line" Sychi further explained "Frankly, most of the Rose clan have authority here in the palace, Meijin and James for example"
"Dad as well?"
"Oh yes! As a matter of fact, I dare say that James is quite fond of these adorable pair. He just like looking after them, even if he has to divide his time between work, his family, and his sister's"
"How come we never knew?" said Kira
"That's because unlike Meijin, he kept himself a secret until now" Sychi answered
"Seriously, I don't get those guys" Airi sighed
"Back to the question, did something happened?" Kishi asked him, sending chills down Airi's spine, rendering him frozen
"It's horrible, really horrible, I don't want to go back, I'm not even involved, it's all their fault, it's all unfair, why does it have to be me, it a terrible nightmare, absolutely terrible, oh my dear life, how pitiful..." Airi muttered, hugging his knees and giving off a dark and gloomy feeling
"Airi, Airi, are you okay" Kira called out to him
"YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND!!! I ENVY YOU, IN TRUTH I REALLY DO!! I JUST CAN'T HELP IT!! IT'S TERRIBLE!!" He finally snapped
"Is it really that bad?" Kishi asked him calmly
"OF COURE'S IT IS!!"
"How come? What happened?"
Airi took a deep breath, then begun to explain himself.
From what he said, the whole class was ordered to do the decorations by the dean herself in the ball room, when a couple of third year A-class students approached them and begun to call them names and insult them. And of course, they were gravely offended and a massacre happened, as they beat the thugs down with a bunch of over powered spells, that caused a couple of explosions that send the thugs flying. And with all the commotion, the dean came running, accompanied with some teachers and she then activated the binding seal in each of them, including those who just stood back and watched it all happened. The aftermaths of the uproar were quite visible, and the thugs were all beat down to a pulp that they were all confined in the school infirmary.
He also stated that the binding seal in every each of them, has a very terrible feeling when activated and added with an hour or more lecturing from the dean, the pleasure of beating the thugs prove meaning less and a big waste of time. In the end, they all decided to take their leave for the night and just come back tomorrow morning and prepare for the ball.
Airi was immensely dissatisfied. He felt wronged that he was dragged into something he didn't even take part of. But in Amy's claim, he was irresponsible enough to let his fellow classmates to run havoc while he just watched from the sideline not doing anything to stop them, that he deserves as much penalties as the rest. That also applies to the others who did the same thing as he.
