Dragging her body to the assembly, Ivy was exhausted. Last night, Ruby wanted to see the limits of the Epsilon armor. She didn't even seem to care about Ivy anymore when she finished the small course she was forced to take.
Lilith immediately knew that Ivy was a grumpy little kitty today. Since this morning, she didn't see Ivy until she slammed their dorm room door open. Ivy had dark circles underneath her eyes as she walked into the bathroom and cleaned herself up from her event.
Lilith placed a hand on Ivy's shoulder as she pulled her closer. She leaned into Ivy's ears and whispered something in her ears, "You should skip a period and sleep. I don't want to see you when you're mad."
Making a small grumble, Ivy agreed to Lilith's idea as she stumbled with her walking. Lilith helped Ivy get her footing back as they entered the main room.
Rows of students stood as there were plenty of students from around the world. Most of them were from the Top Academy list like WinterKill and Silver Semblance. There were many different uniforms from the dark brown and red from Soar High to the pale white and blue from WinterKill.
Lilith guided Ivy to a spot near the exit as they stood at attention.
Hearing the sound of heels against the stage floor, the crowd of students ended their conversation and stared at the stage.
There walked Ruby in a white button shirt and tight black leggings with heels, and her hair was wavy at the ends but barely noticeable. Ruby looked calm, fresh, and her skin did look better than the day she was stress.
'Maybe that's because of what happened last night,' Ivy thought to herself as she waited for this assembly to be over.
Ruby reached the microphone stand as she tested it before opening her mouth, "Students, it is my most humble welcoming for you to be here. As many of the new students may be wondering why there are students from other academies here, well, that is because we are having our annual Vytal Festival. The Vytal Festival is where teams from the top academies have them participate in a tournament against teams from Soar High, WinterKill, Silver Semblance, Maple Fall, and Ravenwood. More information will appear on a later date. As of now, all first-year students are now able to complete missions with trained Hunters for the next few weeks, and when you have time to help the world. That is all the students."
Many students were happy as large panels started to appear along the side of the walls.
Ivy and Lilith were the first ones out as they walked to a bench to sit for a bit. Ivy rested her head against Lilith's shoulder. She forgot her anger towards Ruby as her mind eased away.
Seeing Ivy fall asleep, Lilith gently petted Ivy's head as she looked around to see many of the new students and international students talking to each other.
"Ah, there you two are!" Lilith immediately knew who that voice belongs to as she turned around. Rosalina, York, and Eden, the three siblings.
"Shh, Ivy fell asleep," Lilith motioned them. She turned back to Ivy, where her head as fallen into her lap. "What do you want?"
"We want to apply for a mission, it's a year two mission, but HeadMaster has allowed us to take it," Eden spoke softly, his voice deep and soothing. It was very, very, very rare for Eden ever to talk, and the times that he does. It's usually a simple sentence or two.
York nudged Eden while Rosalina was beaming with joy.
"I see, when is it?" Lilith wanted to confirm the date of the mission so she could tell Ivy soon.
"Three days from now! And we have the HeadMaster coming with us!" Rosalina acted like a child as she was jumping like a kid who got their hands on candy.
"The HeadMaster is coming with us?!" Lilith exclaimed, she felt Ivy's uncomfortableness from her sudden movement.
"No, Rose is just excited. Professor Scarlett is coming," York cleared up the misconception.
Understanding it now, Lilith nodded her head as she smiled at Ivy. "Alright, I'll tell Ivy when she wakes up."
Hearing Lilith agrees, the three high fived each other as they bid their goodbyes. According to their schedule today, they have Sparing period with Scarlett.
Lilith stretched a little as she picked Ivy off her lap and carried in on her back to the dorm building. She wasn't surprised that Ivy was a little heavier than she thought. 'Maybe I should make sure she eats a healthy meal now and then or could just be the exhaustion.'
Lilith greeted many of the international students as they walked past her. She placed Ivy down on their bed and pulled the covers over her. Seeing Ivy sleep, Lilith gently petted her head before leaving a note and closing the door.
Two red eyes stared into the room as it observed the sleeping Ivy. The figure made a low chuckle as it disappeared into mist as its laugh echoed.
