"Hey! Are you guys okay?!" the blond hair boy yelled, he started running up towards the three bodies. Two were laying down on the ground while one was standing up tall. His partner, Eden, also followed behind the blond boy.
The boy with blond hair and blue eyes wore tight white pants; he wore a quartz color chest plate with golden lines lacing around the edges, two gauntlets with pure white color. All of this over a sweater while he carried a diamond-shaped shield and a double-edged broad sword. His partner carried two M7 SMGs, both in pitch-black color, also with two blades pointing downwards, short yet enough to be dangerous. He also wore tight black pants only with a tank top with a few pouches of extra ammunition.
Ivy ignored the two men running towards them as she bent down to help Lilith up, she smirked lightly as she could spot a couple of places of dirt and revealed skin. She offered a hand as she spoke calmly, "Come on Lil, I'll repay you by getting some mochi after this is over."
Lilith groaned as she grabbed Ivy's hand hard and pulled herself off the ground, she stared at Ivy with suspicion. "You better promise me for that mochi or else you will have a bad sleep tonight."
"Sure about that?" Ivy teased before patting Lilith on the back. She looked at the two boys who were checking on Rosalina, she was up on her feet but the boy in the blonde hair seemed to be mad at Rosalina while the boy named Eden was checking on Rosalina's body and standing quietly.
"Rose, you are not compatible to be in this academy! You could have easily died from a fall like this!" the blonde boy yelled at Rosalina, his face was narrowed and his body was emitting a threating persona.
"But I didn't! You just don't see me as an independent person! You just see me as a scared little girl that you're so disappointed in, York!" Rosalina yelled back, she was grabbed by her collar of her blouse and lifted off the ground.
"You're just a blind girl who thinks she can be a hero in those stupids books!" York yelled much louder than before, attracting the other students' attention. His eyes filled with red, his grip tighten around Rosalina's collar and pulled her closer, spitting on her face.
"Hey! Is that seriously how you treat someone while both of you have the same motives?!" Ivy shouted, she couldn't believe this boy's nerves for picking Rosalina off the ground. She walked over towards the blonde boy and gripped his shoulder tightly.
"Stay out of this you stupid girl, stay out of our business!" York dropped Rosalina as he turned around and was about to smack Ivy's pretty face. His movement was quick however, his thoughts were dumb. Ivy blocked his arm and slammed her right hand into his groin.
"Have fun trying to make babies, York," Ivy growled as she moved past York and helped Rosalina up. She hated people like York, she wish she could just cover him in some harden glue but she knew that Ruby and Professor Scarlett are watching them.
Running towards Ivy, Lilith grabbed Ivy's attention and pointed towards the hills. Both of them saw monsters storming towards them, hundreds of monsters. Some soaring throughout the skies while the ground was producing much more dust than a normal factory can produce carbon admission. Ivy can sense Lilith's fear which didn't help at all, soon all the monsters' attention was on the two.
"Son of a bitch," Ivy cursed, she could see Lilith grabbing her sniper rifle, locking, and loading. Ivy shook her head as she grabbed Lilith's shoulder. "Tell the others to get themselves ready, I'll hold them for a couple of minutes."
Lilith was stunned by Ivy's words, was she trying to be a martyr? She didn't want to leave Ivy along but she didn't know how effective she could be; when they were in the simulation they always be so close to fighting a hundred monsters but she would always get herself endanger. Cursing at her weakness, Lilith ran towards the others and warned them about the mass army of monsters.
Ivy pulled off gloves and flexed her hands before grabbing her left gun, it was a specially crafted by Neo. She didn't use it during any fights she's already been in since Neo warned her about the potential friendly-fire. It looked like a Desert Eagle however instead of the regular nine to seven bullets in a regular Eagle's magazine, it only had three heavy rounds, besides the one already in the chamber, capable of withstanding the augmented mana in Ivy's left arm.
"Let's see how this will work," Ivy whispered to herself as she summoned all of her mana and locked it all inside of her left arm which glowed into a bright electric blue that slowly dimmed and was transferred into the four rounds.
Ivy could feel her heart pounding in anticipation and nervous, she took a deep breath to calm herself before gripping around the handle with both hands. She spaced her footing: her right in front, left in the back, the slider away from her face as she wrapped her finger around the trigger. She braced herself for the shock the gun may make as she pulled the trigger. The recoil was shocking, she almost lost her footing be caught herself before she hit the ground.
The heavy round left the chamber with ease as it quickly turned into a massive laser bullet, cutting a clean path through the mass of monster. It left burnt ashes and dirt as the grass slowly caught on fire and started burning some of the monsters. Ivy was stunned, no astonished at the sheer power it was able to create with the augmented mana. She reset herself as she fired another round in a different direction that was coming straight for her, she didn't just kill the monsters that was just about to pounce on her but all of those who were eighty meters beside it. Setting ablaze to all those who were behind the monster.
Hearing running behind her, Ivy knew she could be at ease with a little bit of extra help. She lowered her gun slightly as she checked her sides before firing once more about eighties degrees to her right. Once again setting ablaze in its path.
Lilith was the first to reach Ivy only to see the monsters calling and howling, she saw the ground one fire while Ivy stumbled a little. She quickly caught Ivy before hearing a clank of the gun in Ivy's hand, she could feel the sweat on Ivy's body as she helped her to a slightly balanced footing.
"Ivy, how did this happened?" Lilith looked at Ivy and immediately asked as she wanted to know what other forces lied in this battleground. She didn't hear Ivy respond however her movements indicated that it was her doing.
"Lock and load people! We gotta protect the academy!" Rosalina commanded as her little red rectangle scythe switched into its full form while the other students lined up besides Ivy and Lilith.
"You're not alone in this fight Ivy, we will help," Lilith spoke softly as she picked up the dropped modified Desert Eagle. She handed it back to Ivy, handle towards away from her as Ivy took the gun and placed it back to her side. Ivy smiled lightly at Lilith, she turned her attention towards the army as it regathered and prepared themselves to engage in a bloody massacre.
Closing her eyes, Ivy search for her powers. She could feel a small touch deep within as she pulled a little bit of her powers, her mana immediately recharged: forcing her eyes opens as pure white engulfed Ivy's body. Slowly, however, did Ivy get up and grabbed her kunai. She was able to unlock her Aura as she felt its unknown energy surging throughout her veins, slowly encasing itself as a shield.
Ivy immediately launched herself into the battlegrounds, taking tens of monsters as the other students charged into battle. Lilith smiled happily while she gave support from a distance and tried to find who was in charge. She knew very much that monsters will never work together in masses like these without someone giving command and she bet that Ivy is going to try to locate the leader without a doubt.
--------------------------------------------------
"HeadMaster, it seems that the students we sent out have engaged in a mass combat with the monsters, also that Ivy girl seemed to unlock something," Professor Scarlett reported as she stared at the Scroll in her hand. She wanted to go out and fight and not just stand on a cliff watching these younglings possibly die. "Should we send a Hunter to assist?"
Ruby, who didn't have a Scroll in her hand, stared into the vast trees of Forever Fall. There tinted orange and red through the trees, leave slowly descending to the ground as it softly lands to the hard ground. "Would you like to go out? I can tell you're itching for a fight."
"Can I?!"
"Permission granted under one condition," Ruby held up her pointer finger to stop Professor Scarlett jumping into the forest. "See who is behind this, and bring them to me. I'll have a chat with the other professors about this...anomaly. Ivy will no doubt have a sense of where their leader is hiding so I suggest you find her."
Professor Scarlett nodded as she launched herself off the launch pad and glided herself towards the battlefields. Ruby smiled as she could tell that Professor Scarlett was dying of boredom but she did wonder what Ivy unlocked, maybe her Aura? Or was it to use some of her powers? So many questions that she was a glutton to know.
