Bang bang.
Ivy was running and gunning any monsters that were following her, she had Yuki's help to locate any nearby demons and she was a bit surprised that there was someone commanding all of these mindless and savage beasts. Ivy quickly ducked underneath a swarm of Ravagers, dark-colored bats with white spikes along their backs with their reddish-orange eyes glowing, pointy ears and sharp teeth as they dove down: tearing apart the forest's trees.
"Friendly ID, almost a click away. Professor Scarlett," Omega announced as it found Professor Scarlett's location quick, it flickered a little as it sudden receive an AI comms. "Requesting to accept Professor Scarlett's AI comms?"
Bang bang! Ivy hid behind a tree as she caught her breath for a bit, her Aura has saved her ass countless times already however it kept going breaking. Aura is almost like a shield in games like Halo, where given enough damage, the Aura breaks and needs to be recharged by resting or avoiding being hit. Ivy knew this much from reading books and listening to audiobooks during her eleven years of being hunted.
Taking a deep breath, Ivy quickly reloaded her pistol and turned to her side as she glanced over to the bark of the tree. The Ravagers were perched on a tree branch, all lined up and they looked like they're about to release something.
"Requesting--"
"Do it!" Ivy fired ten rounds at the Ravagers, breaking their line up a little. She quickly started to run away from bats as she moved closer towards Professor Scarlett's position which has moved farther away; before she knew it, Ivy heard a high pitch screech that was boosted even higher, forcing her to cover her ears and falling to the ground in pain, dropping her kunai in the dirt.
RAAAAHH!
The Ravagers got off from their perch and headed towards Ivy, all ready to devours the kitty's body. Ivy lifted her right arm and started firing blindly, killing a few as her vision was disoriented by the screech. Her gun started to click as she struggled to get herself off the ground.
"Professor Scarlett is coming right about now," and just one queue, Professor Scarlett jumped from a bush and stood in front of Ivy, her sword's tip at Ivy and with two hands. The sword started to glow bright blue, mist arising from her sword as Professor Scarlett swung the sword towards the Ravagers: freezing them to ice.
Professor Scarlett turned around and helped Ivy back on her feet, Ivy's vision come back to normal as she retreated her Neko form back into a human. Ivy shook her head from the dizziness, she gave a thumbs up towards Professor Scarlett.
'I swear to Fenrir if the author calls me 'Professor Scarlett' one more time, I'm gonna kill them!' Scarlett threatened the author, she let Ivy go as she placed her sword back on her back. She was surprised to not see a single scratch on Ivy or torn clothing.
"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be watching over us as we get ourselves killed?" Ivy insulted, she was a bit annoyed at the idea of just simply watching over them as they fought for their lives just to get into an academy. The things that people will do. She loaded her pistol again, her fifth magazine she's gone through. It seems as if these monsters are endless, she was starting to get exhausted.
"I need to know who is in charge," Scarlett shouldered off Ivy's insult as she went straight to the point. She watched as Ivy patted her waist before kneeling down to the ground and looking for something. She noticed that there was a sheath on Ivy's back, she kneeled down and helped Ivy look for her lost blade.
'Ouch!' Scarlett's hand got poked by something as she moved the fallen leaf away from whatever poked her, it was a kunai. A pitch-black kunai, silver sharp edge with three small diamond shapes connected while one diamond shape was a centimeter that was larger. Scarlett carefully picked the kunai up as she turned to tap Ivy on the shoulder. Ivy glanced over as Scarlett showed the kunai, Ivy nodded as a thank while she took the kunai and held it in her left hand.
Ivy got up and looked around, her eyes narrowed as if something was watching the two. Her Neko ears ruffled out of their hiding place along with her tail searching like another person with their back along with Ivy's.
Quickly, Scarlett started to look around along with Ivy as she pulled her sword out of its sheath. She drew it out in front of her, she could feel a sudden dark energy watching the two. She gripped her sword tighter as she heard two gunshots, both sounded as if they were .50 caliber, destroying the trees that Ivy was aiming at.
"Demon, he's the one controlling the monsters," Ivy spoke quickly as she blew at smoke coming off the gun's chamber. She took one step back before seeing a massive black orb absorbing the life in the trees, purple electricity wrapping around the orb as it was aimed at the two. She knocked Scarlett down as she summoned her mana as she shielded both of them, her shield slowly absorbed the black orb turning into a pitch black.
Scarlett got up quickly and charged at the origin of the orb, she slashing upward from right to left. She felt nothing against her blade as she saw two bright red eyes pointed towards her. A dark laughter encased the area they were in.
"I am the sin of wrath and you will die today," a dark voice crept behind Scarlett's back, sending chillings down her spine. She swung twisted her sword sideways as she swung behind her, this time she felt a strong hand preventing it from slicing the host.
"Stupid girl, only knowing how to swing a massive sword like your chest," the demon insulted as it was in the motion of pushing the sword away when it was hit with three .50 caliber rounds in its back. The demon turned around as it saw Ivy's appearance.
"You're only an imposter of the Demon of Wrath," Ivy's voice was deep, growl as her eyes were bright red. Her skin tone was slightly darker, swiftly Ivy slammed her kunai into the faker's chest; just where the left lung would be, killing one of the faker's hearts.
The faker coughed up blood, it still had enough energy as it used both of its hands and grabbed Ivy's neck: slowly choking her to death. The faker's eyes narrowed deeply as it revealed a sinister smile, it released a poisonous smell as its grip tighten.
"I thought you would have died dear Yuki, never thought you would be so pathetic to be inside a human's body," the faker's voice was light yet dark and deep. "Now you will die from my hands hahaha!"
Struggling to get out the faker's grip, Ivy grabbed her kunai inside of the faker's chest and pulled it out, blood spurting out on her clothing. She used the kunai and impaled one of the faker's arm, pulling it out quickly and stabbed it again.
Scarlett was stunned at first before recollecting herself and shoved her sword through the demon's chest; near the right lung, hitting another heart. She pulled out as she felt a kick on her stomach, she staggered backward, clutching her stomach. Scarlett grimaced at the pain as she held her sword tightly.
"Die Yuki, be a good girl!" the faker screamed, it sounded a little bit like a pledged. Ivy's strength was slowly fading as she dropped her kunai at the seventh stab in the same arm, she looked desperate to get out of the faker's grasps but she could feel anything.
Scarlett let out a warcry as she held her sword over her head and ran it down the middle, slicing the demon into two. Now that's symmetrical.
Ivy dropped to the ground as she held her throat, her eyes and skin went back to normal as she started to cough. Gasping for air. Scarlett helped Ivy, patting her back and helping her sooth her neck.
"Fuck, he was a dick, you don't just grab a girl's neck and choke her," Ivy complained as she cough just a little less.
Scarlett grinned at Ivy's annoyance. She helped Ivy up on her feet: handing her kunai off the ground. She gave Ivy one more pat before disappearing in a flash.
Ivy received a Scroll call from Lilith, saying that the monsters suddenly started to attack each other and no one was majorly injured during the fight. Ivy was glad that no one was hurt, she was even more happy that the monsters started to fight each other. She quickly ended the call as she made her way back to the battleground where everyone else was.
