Staring at the clean desk, Lilith smiled as she finished the assigned work that Ruby gave her. Ever since she started working for Ruby, Lilith has been able to get all the papers done within a week or less. Lilith smiled to herself before hearing a knock in her door. She allowed the visitor to come in, but she didn't expect to see Ruby.
Lilith froze a bit before greeting her, "Miss Crimson, I just finished the assigned work you gave to me. Is there any other work to be finished?"
Ruby stared at Lilith before entering. The room was simple, a desk with a window behind. The sunlight coming through was just enough to light the room, and entering it felt like entering the CEO's office. There were a few extra things like shelves, plants, and more, but most of it was simple and neat.
Ruby nodded to herself. She took a seat down in one of the chairs before saying to Lilith, "Do you have combat experience? Like fighting against other people."
Lilith furrow her brows before asking, "What do you mean Miss Crimson? I've been in a few combat scenarios, but I wouldn't say I like to fight. I only would like to fight if it was necessary."
"Please, you don't have to--"
"Miss Crimson, we are at school. I must be formal or else the students may think something is between us," Lilith interrupted Ruby. She didn't understand where Ruby was trying.
Ruby tried to refute Lilith's words, but she couldn't. She sighed before saying, "Lilith, I want to train you in case something happens. I know you don't like to fight, however, there's a chance something big is happening, and I believe that Soar High is the center point."
Lilith turned silent before sitting down. She stared down and closed her eyes. She could imagine a group trying to attack Soar High, but the question is why. Why try to take down a prestigious school? Lilith couldn't rack her brain around it.
Lilith groaned before agreeing to Ruby's request. Although she didn't agree with Ruby's request, Lilith couldn't run a blind eye on this place. She looked up to see Ruby had a gentle smile. Lilith tilted her head as Ruby had her hand out.
"I'll train you to the best of my abilities," Ruby said with a cheerful sound. Lilith sighed before taking Ruby's hand.
--------------------------------------------------
After the school day was over, Lilith changed her attire into her usual battle clothing. She took a deep breath since the last time she went through combat training was when she was in hell. Lilith looked at herself through the mirror and imagine Ivy fondling her. Lilith smacked her cheeks at the sexual thought. She couldn't believe she thought of something so lewd.
Lilith walked out to the courtyard where Ruby was waiting patiently. She was getting a bit nervous before seeing Ruby gave off a gentle smile again. She wryly returned the smile as she came forward to Ruby.
Ruby looked up and down at Lilith's suit before asking, "Why wear such a revealing outfit?"
Lilith panicked underneath the first question. She actually didn't understand why she wore such a revealing outfit. Maybe because she felt more flexible and it could distract the enemies. Plus, her clothing was able to form back on whenever she shapeshifted. Lilith opened her mouth before quivering underneath Ruby's gaze.
Ruby nodded to herself as she deducted that Lilith was very timid when it comes to fighting. She walked over and ruffled Lilith's hair. "You don't have to tell me. But may I take a guess?"
Lilith quickly nodded as she looked away from Ruby. Although she was taller than Ruby, she felt like she was tiny when against her. Lilith could feel her head getting a calming sensation before she closed her eyes and squirmed a bit.
("So she likes head pats, maybe I can reward her whenever she does something right,") Ruby thought before stopping and staring at Lilith's attire. ("Exposure to almost every vital part. However, it's extremely flexible. Isn't she a shapeshifter? Hm, maybe I can get someone to tailor something...less exposed.")
Ruby walked back to her original place before saying to Lilith, "I want to see where your combat abilities are. It may get a bit difficult from here on out, so I want you to be ready at all times. Also, don't summon a weapon or shapeshift, okay?"
Lilith nodded before separating her feet and clenching her fists. She didn't have much hand-to-hand combat, but she could try to get used to it if she ran out of energy to shapeshift. Lilith took a deep breath and listened to Ruby's quiet breathing. Compared to demons and humans, demons have heightened hearing, smell, feeling, brain activity, and vision.
Ruby propelled herself with her left foot and shot herself at Lilith. Her right fist was ready to come in contact; however Ruby didn't expect to notice Lilith's figure sudden changed. Her body was suddenly pinned to the ground with her right arm behind her back. Ruby twisted her body and tried to kick Lilith in the chest.
Lilith dodged Ruby's kick but traded with her balance. She gets up before blocking a right hook and sending a jab at Ruby's stomach. Lilith then kicked Ruby away while charging her into the chain-linked fence. She smiled at first before feeling her body suddenly moving on her own.
Ruby pushed Lilith's body off with her Semblance and slammed the girl into the ground. She wasn't expecting Lilith to be this good at hand-to-hand combat; however, she noticed that there were a few flaws in her stance and fighting. Ruby released Lilith's body and prepared herself.
Lilith laid in the ground before struggling to get back up. She pushed herself up only to feel a force pushing her down. She gritted her teeth before using her Semblance and removed all the scratches and refilling her stamina for a short time. Lilith stood up and charged at Ruby before feeling the same force pushing her away.
Ruby held her palm out and held Lilith in place before saying, "I think that's enough for now. Overall Lilith, you have an incredible stance and fighting technique, but there are always a few flaws. Alpha, stop recording, and display recording."
A tiny person moved in the middle of the two and projected a video of the battle between them. Lilith was amazed at seeing such a high-resolution video along with watching her own stance. She noticed there was something completely different between when she's fighting versus her normal self.
"You seem to know a few ways to counter attacks, but you also need to know how to attack with equal or more force," Ruby explained before noticing the time. It was currently 1700, she sighed and looked at the skies. None of the helicopters have returned yet. "We should wrap up today's training. Come."
Lilith snapped out of her focus. She learned a few things about her way of fighting; however, during the whole video, she tried her best not to change. Lilith pondered to herself before catching up to Ruby. She smiled at Ruby's teaching.
Ruby ruffled Lilith's hair as the two entered her car. Lilith continued to ponder and wondered if Ivy can suppress her shapeshifting with Mana. She actually didn't know much about Ivy, besides the fact the girl is quite aloof and mysterious.
Ruby smiled at Lilith as she could tell the girl was thinking hard. She looked out the window and carefully watched the sun's light slowly fading. She felt her phone ring and looked at the contact. It was from Neo.
She called Neo and before she could ask about the call. All Ruby heard was: " 'We need help! Ivy's unconscious, and we have wounded! The mission was a trap! We're sounded-- GET THE FUCK OFF HER!' Voice mail end."
"Stop the car. Call the Guardians."
